I'm really curious if making a move or two can bring the Memphis Grizzlies into playoff contention. They have a low key really nice set up. Should be a real competitor in a year or two.

I'm either going with the Grizzlies or the Knicks. Leaning a bit more toward the Grizzlies tho. Gonna be tough as hell being in the West.

30 team ML with moving the East and West around my way. Few trades and getting the league playing the way I want.

Is it best to use auto generated vs custom for long term balance? This might be the 1st time I go that route.

I never use the auto generated draft classes. I create fictional draft classes that you can find in the roster section. There are other quality fictional and real draft classes as well. (I'm on PS4)

I usually do tons of different types of MyLeague saves, but the first thing I'll probably do is a start-in-offseason for the Raptors and re-sign Kawhi. I wanna try to run it back with that Raptors team because they were such a fun and unique team imo. I'm also gonna do some WNBA saves too and I'll probably start out with the Connecticut Sun.

Hoping the new MyGm mode means there is finally real consequences for heading into the luxury tax/having bad chemistry/having too many players at one position etc.

Will probably end up doing a Mavs MyLeague as well.

In addition to my regular ML, I'm going to do another throwback franchise.

I found a pretty good 2001 NBA roster and started with the Yao/Jay Williams draft. There are some drafts that have the missing players like Bosh and Matt Barnes. I'd make sure generational players like LeBron and Yao end up on the real teams, but I let the rest play out. There have been some cool combos.

Jay Williams ended up in Boston with Paul Pierce. Wade was drafted by Seattle. But I made up a scenario where he clashed with Payton because Payton wanted a ring, not a rookie. So I traded Wade to Miami for Mourning (who is still great). A year or so later I send Shaq to Miami like real life. I traded Eddie Jones to Boston for Antoine Walker and have the core of the Heat title team.

I'm trying to get Bron some help in Cleveland but Andre Miller is still his best teammate. It's fun though to just go nuts with baby Bron and try to will the team to wins.

It started out as a side project but I really have enjoyed it. I'm at the D. Rose draft now and I may just sim everything up to 2019 to see how the league evolves. I'm definitely doing another throwback league. What makes it great though is that there is commentary for the new players. They do interviews. They feel like (which they are) real people in the league.

I hope MyLeague evolves to a point where there is dynamic commentary that references where guys were drafted and their past accolades. And that rookies have voice snippets for the sitdown and halftime and end of game interviews for big games.

The last few years I always ended on Easter conference teams who are nearly playoff bound but not quite a contender. Last year it was the Pacers, in years before the Wizards and Hawks.
Now with the Warriors gone and so many teams on one level there are just so many to choose from.

I'm basically down to 2 teams:

-Jazz
-Blazers

I'm playing 82 games, so a rebuild just doesn't work that well. So this year I want to play with a team that is even a step closer to contention.
At this point I think I will make a few test games with both squads to get a feel for them.

I meant custom roster. With my time do I play single or go right into 30 man GM? Takes time, but I am a control freak.

I have the same idea as you, I play on 82 games and I will take a team of contenders, in addition to the teams you selected I was also thinking of the warriors with Thompson injured again for a while or the Raptors after Leonard

Planning on doing a Grizzlies franchise and building around Ja and JJJ. Will probably play ~20% of season one and simulate with the intention of getting a high pick, and then drafting someone fun from JB's fictional draft classes. From there we'll try to compete.

Also toying with the idea of moving the team to Seattle after year 1, and bringing the Sonics back, as I love designing unis
