Does anyone know how to get a quick post up for a specific player? I know in position playcalling it says Player X Post Up as the 4th option on the list, but that runs a whole play. I mean if I see the PG got switched onto my SF and I want him to post immediately.
No. You can do a side step. Either direction. There are 2 when dribbling. 2 whne standing still. For a total of 4 different side steps

I'm not sure I *hate* it. Having eight frequently called plays at my fingertips is awesome, but I do with the full interface was easier.

Agree mbless, I think in my opinion it would help if you could do it quicker. To me there's no difference between tapping L1 and having to tap L1, R1 quickly, but you actually have to wait that extra moment for the first screen to appear. This may not seem like a huge difference but if I do it too quickly the game doesn't recognize the R1 input and I have to hit it again.

Sam i'd really like to know what the key to shooting is this year. Wide open shots just aren't falling at a high rate. Are there any new keys to shooting this year?

Are these tutorials still relevant with the new patch or did they change the mechanics? Thanks for all the help, I'm going to use your tutorials to actually become good at the game this year lol

I dont know if this has been mentioned but you can challenge a call by pressing the timeout button as the call is being made.

It's rough because before, you could call a play, run it and if it wasn't working out, switch to another. With having to wait that extra second on each step of calling the play, you're pretty limited to one play per possession unless you get an offensive rebound. And even then, because there's no hurry up option, your team takes forever to set up and you really don't have time to call another play and run more than one action. Super frustrating.

Right. They should have just had it L1+R1 brings up postional players. If they're not going to invest in testers, they really need to release a BETA and listen to feedback about changes and intended improvements.

Is there a way to change which positional plays show for each player?

Any how-to on the read and react defense?

I see the arrow pop up and I’ve been using the right stick to flick which direction they’re going.

Have had good success cutting people off and poking the ball lose as the right stick is also tied to steal attempts but just wondering if this is the correct way to do this or am I missing anything?

The way I usually use it is that while in Intense-D stance, I'll lightly tap L-Stick in the direction that I see the indicator point at first. If he doesn't commit in that direction, I haven't given up too much position and can still cut the stick back the other way. If he does commit, since the defender's weight is already shifted in that direction I can move there to cut off the drive easier with a full move of the L-Stick. If I do get a cut off, then there might be an opening for a steal or the dribbler might lose the ball by himself.

How effective this is depends on the player's lateral quickness and my ability to watch the player movement following the indicator, and react accordingly. And I'll be the first to admit I am not perfect when reading what the ballhandler's doing. .

Does anybody know if there is an option to send someone to high post? For example you can choose "post up" from the quick plays, or positional plays, but is there a way to make a guy post high out on the wing or elbow? Similar to how we often see LeBron initiate post ups from the mid-range area on the floor?

I know various sets probably end with a player catching the ball in that spot, but I'm more so talking about just a quick post up, like the regular post up option only extended.

Also is there a way to call for a switch? I know I can change my defensive setting to switch, but say I'm guarding someone and a screen comes, can I call out a switch for just that one instance?
