yeah it will be interesting to see how 2k updates players, will it be throughout the season or just a one-time thing, which I am not mad at just take care of the bigger hair offenders such as DeAndre Jordan and Justice Winslow.

Montrezl Harrell and Mo Harkless were also wearing the tieless ninja Nike headbands in tonight’s game. Looks like players officially found their replacements, as long as they keep the Nike logo showing.

Nike said that they banned the headties because there was risk of them being pulled off in game which poses a safety concern. I think these new tieless headbands were specifically made to replace the headties, and were given to players to use. I guess they like them because EVERYONE who was rocking the headties last season is using them now.

2K might replace the headties with these in an update, but I wouldn't be surprised if Nike doesn't send one in for a scan and they go the full lazy route and just keep the headties in. The kneepads and compression tights have been different for like 2 seasons now and 2K still hasn't replaced them. Also the undershirts look different this season too and 2K has the same nondescript ones in from 2K18 that lack the dri-fit branding on the back.

I agree. I’m thinking the same thing. However, Kyrie did start off last season with the tieless version and he’s bringing it back again this year. The only person who didn’t wear the new tieless headband so far is Jrue Holiday, but everyone else is wearing them. I think 2K will be lazy and keep the full headtie in the game.

I feel you... I actually got in a debate with a couple of others in another thread because they want the headbands taken out because they’re banned and it ruins the immersion for them [emoji23]. If the NBA didn’t say anything about 2K putting them in the game, what’s the issue?

Btw, Russell Westbrook is the next person to wear tieless headbands. Definitely about time I add this to my 2K forum thread. He also took out his braids for this game. Let’s see if he keeps them out for good.

Warriors, Nets, Magic, Mavericks, Bulls, Thunder (unsure if they were already in the game), Jazz (unsure if they were already in the game) Trailblazers, Suns, and Hornets statement jerseys are now in the game.

I've been wearing the headties for years now since I realized they're 100 times more comfortable than the fuzzy headbands and it looks way cooler (look at Federer and Nadal in tennis) and I haven't had them yanked once during pickup. But I will admit, in an NBA game, anything can happen, so it makes sense that Nike had to redo them to make it even a little bit safer.

It's good that they immediately made a good replacement for them even before the season started, and I might go buy one if they put them up for sale.

Anyone know if the old Magic Statement jersey is in the game now? I haven’t got the game yet, but plan to soon. I noticed when watching a video of all 2k20 jerseys it wasn’t in there and with the magic releasing a new one I wonder if they will leave it out entirely. That would suck because that was the Howard era Magic road jersey.

Still haven't fixed the Cavs shoe colors with the Classic jersey. Still the wine color when the shoes are left at default.
