The beauty-

So I am a basketball coach and the beauty of this game is amazing. Pistons vs. Celtics and watching Jackson and Walker go at it I almost forget I am playing and watch. Not perfect, but I have not seen the double team bug in my ML one time (it happens in other modes).

- Doubles can be crazy, but also a thing of beauty.

- Mismatches- when teams switch it’s fun making them pay.

- Added sim sliders- this for any sim guy should be the reason you buy. Guys who should be getting numbers in your sim are. I adjusted slightly from default, but it feels right.

- I look for stats more than winning every game. I use the same sliders I used 3 years ago with SimWorlds Coaching Profile and don’t miss a beat. I am too old to overthink video games and am having a blast.

- Don’t make too much noise about nothing. We do that every year and they patch something that messes it up for nothing.

- Don’t weigh one game. I didn’t like the amount of 3’s taken last night with CPU and Boston has taken 33 right now. Play it out.

- Bad defenders will get abused and it’s the NBA, and runs happen every night.

- If you don’t like 20, check your soul.

- Not to sound cocky, but I am a very good 2k player because of my basketball background and I USE PRACTICE MODE a lot. Had dumb TO problems last night. Worked on my bounce passing this morning.

Love the game and the general flow of the gameplay, but the double team bug is absolutely killing me right now to the point where I can't play a meaningful game vs. the CPU knowing that it exists. In the 3rd quarter of my current game the CPU decided to double Coby White who only had 8 points, leaving LaVine wide open on the perimeter. And they did it every time down the floor (which is every possession because White was always first to touch the ball as the PG). There's no way to ignore one of my players being wide open and trying to run a normal offense when two guys gravitate to my PG every possession.

I know it's getting patched, but that fix cannot come soon enough. Is there anything that can be done in the meantime - maybe turning off ACE or something? If that doesn't work I guess I'll just play around in practice mode or (shudder) MyCareer/Park.

Agree with your post. Unfortunately, we do not know if the double teaming in the HALF court will be addressed.

Czar only mentioned the double team bug that happens in the full court.

They really need to address both. In my experience (playing with Warriors). It’s brutal.

I was killing Boston down low with AD and they doubled the ball smartly

82. And this wasn't down low - I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it if it was. I can't imagine a defense choosing to double a guy who's not dominating the game (White with 8 points) and leave a guy wide open on the perimeter who can shoot a decent 3 every time down the floor. I scored 35 with LaVine in the game - that's not totally impossible by itself but 30 of those came in the 2nd half when it started doing this. I was ice cold with him before that started.

ch is right - the most obvious problem is two players moving past halfcourt to double, but perimeter doubling in the halfcourt is also a concern if it's not being used at the right times. TBH I don't think there is a halfcourt issue, it's the same fullcourt double that people are only noticing as soon as the ball goes to a certain player. If the player causing the bug to happen is a SF or PF, for example, you might not see it until he touches the ball in the frontcourt.

I agree it’s the angles. I didn’t see it a lot in my last game played, but saw it last night playing with Nets

I also set defense for all teams I play, so it might change the double a bit, but I am a 30 team my league nut

Been running with the Twin Towers. I'd rather the championship team. But oh well. Because of the improved AI logic. Switching happens more offer.
