Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
You all basically want 2KSports to keep you all in the loop about the game like you all were in their offices working tirelessly to create the game and have it completed by deadline. You all want "answers" as to why Ronnie "lied" and what's being done with Ronnie relative his role with NBA 2K. You all want 2KSports to collectively kiss you all's asses and apologized profusely for the bugs/glitches that are in the game. You feel that the "customers" are entitled to answers, and damnit, you all want them now! Man...miss me with all that nonsense.
2k should hold Ronnie accountable and provide an explanation as to why he was providing information that wasn't accurate especially in the context it happened. Whether he did it unintentionally or intentionally, it made the company look dishonest and exploitative. It's not just the fact he gave inaccurate information, it's the fact he gave inaccurate information AFTER people were under the correct assumption they would be buying the game with that specific feature not being changed.
I've been in the Customer Service field too long and long enough as a Representative and Manager that I can write the script how most Customers will react. They LITERALLY posted about the devs working on a patch, and most "Customers" are STILL not happy, but I'm supposed to sit here and pretend that "transparency" will suddenly cure the Customers' anger towards to 2KSports.
Here's some more cliche comments that I would have given the Twitter crowd...
"We apologize for the inaccurate information that Ronnie gave via Twitter and during live, authorized streams. We're going to look into our current procedures regarding information that's to be given to our Customers before the release date. For future releases, we want to make sure as a Company that we giving you the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding NBA 2K, so that you can make informed decisions regarding your future purchase. Also, the inaccurate information seemed to be a popular feature that our Customers was looking forward to, so we will work with our development team, and see if that's something that can be implemented for NBA 2K21 on the next-gen consoles." (Doesn't throw Ronnie underneath the bus and sets up future, low-key buzz for NBA 2K21)
"We're providing an update today. Our Development/Engineering teams are still working on a patch to address the bugs and glitch brought to us by the NBA 2K community. The videos, pictures, and feedback that was provided by the community has been extremely helpful in determining the root causes for some of the bugs/glitches, and our teams are working to the best of their abilities to address as many issues as possible. At this time, we can't provide a timeframe for when the patch will be completed, but we do appreciate your patience and continued support as we work to bring you the experience that you expected of NBA 2K20." (Lets the people know that the patch is still coming, and pats the "community" on the back for their "feedback". HOWEVER, it's written in a manner that we're not promising that ALL issues will be resolved).Comment

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
Hello, everyone.
We have a new patch out today for NBA 2K20 on PS4 and Xbox One. It will arrive on PC and Switch sometime soon.
Here's what's included in the update:
Fixed a major issue that was causing the game to hang at intermittent times (e.g. when accessing the VIP Stats menu, when completing games in Domination, when playing Play Now Online games, and more).
Addressed a number of issues in MyCAREER to greatly improve the user experience in that mode.
Fixed an issue where some MyPLAYER names would disappear (may need to create a new build to correct existing saves).
Numerous Gameplay improvements & fixes including: support for standing stepback escapes and finishing alley-oops with Pro Stick, out of bounds awareness improvements, more reliable interior shot defense contact detection, logic fixes for certain badges, and much more.
Addressed an exploit that allowed users to play players out of position in MyTEAM.
Fixed an issue where some users were reporting they were not receiving the correct reward cards from Domination games in MyTEAM.
Fixed an issue where some users were not receiving their awards when achieving new Collector Levels in MyTEAM.
Many, many more fixes included to improve the overall experience of NBA 2K20!Last edited by ksuttonjr76; 09-13-2019, 04:44 PM.Comment

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
I’m loving the gameplay.
Glad I’m not a fan of My Player, My Team or The Park. So I’m not experiencing what the madness is about.
Favorite 2K yet. WNBA is ton of fun and different.

And this is why Twitter is such a worthless platform to communicate with. Mike Wang is trying to be a human, and people are making derogatory remarks. Yet, 2K Sports should be bending over backwards in trying to be transparent?Comment

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
Due to this thread, I've been SERIOUSLY reading the comments and replies on Twitter regarding NBA 2K20 for past 3-5 days now. Dude, the level of disrespect is off the charts. Mike Wang is probably making good money, but he's not making that much money to be taking abuse for the sake of taking abuse. I don't give a damn how a big of a mistake a company makes, that doesn't give anyone the right to start hurling personal attacks.Comment

I mean, I don't care if people if people want to trash the official 2k20 twitter (unproductive as that is). But this is Mike Wang's PERSONAL twitter. He states this at the very top of that page:
Even the stuff he tweets out that is completely unrelated to 2k gets angry tweets from people unsatisfied with the game. That's not right IMO.
It's the same as when famous people ask for privacy when their out in public; it's the fame, and lack of privacy, that makes you famous. Don't like it, leave the spotlight and all that comes with it.PSN: KarlMarx24Comment
