Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
I don't have 2K20, but remember the old days where you buy a game and that's the game you got? No patches, no schizophrenic palm readers, no nothing. What you see is what you get. This is a spoiled generation. 3 days and the game is already changing. This is why I hated playing the recent 2Ks because you have to relearn the game every 2 weeks because of the patches.
Like someone else said, these devs work hard all year and then they turn around and change what they wanted the game to be because of these YouTube and Twitter losers. Where's the integrity and confidence in your product?Comment

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
I'm not blaming Youtube and Twitch streamers per se, but a lot of this outcry seems to have been generated via YouTube creators with huge followings who mobilized once the rallying cry was sent. I wonder if they don't seem a little guilty now if 2k devs are taking themselves offline as a consequence.
Everybody seems to want the game THEY personally want. I've been critical of the changes to MyGM because it limits choice in an offline environment where choice is king, but that's different to whining online about some 7-5 center who should be allowed to run as fast as a PG or not being able to nail every shot just because you think you timed it perfectly in an online situation where you can't make the rules to suit yourself.Comment

It's one of the reasons I'm so adamant about not getting too deep into online anything. I dont want how much fun I can have with a game to be predicated on others, or game balance, or servers. Those people buy the game like me though, and their wants should be considered and acted on. There are about 12 million 2K players. You're never gonna make 1/10th of that user base happy.
Personally, 2K20 is the best 2K by a mile. Offline is great. MyLeague still needs a little work but I can live with it. I was still enjoying 2K19 ML. The gameplay is selling the point this year. I have gotten in a few online games with my little bro and it's great. I have also been enjoying the hell out of Gears 5 (and a little Madden). I figure by the time I wrap up Gears most of the dust will have settled.

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
Not sure if it is due to the patch but yesterday, playing a MyLeague Online game, I noted too much speed, sliding, suctions animations and in general it was difficult to control the players, many times I felt like a co-pilot but not the driver anymore...
Bizarre feeling, hopofully it will be a fluke and not the norm from now on. ;-)Ignorance is Bliss...Comment

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
Yep, Twitter is an absolute cesspool. That's what I was telling EA back in the day, when they mentioned forums basically becoming obsolete when it comes to garnering feedback. Twitter is an absolute cesspool where people can shout nonsense at devs nonstop. It's ignorant man. I'd rather have a developed community, ala OS, where ignorance is kept in check by Mods, where devs can come and interact without having to put up with the constant whining and bickering. There's a difference between constructive criticism and what goes on with Twitter.

It's getting to the point where people will just post anything about someone or something on Twitter, because there is NO REPERCUSSIONS for their actions. I'm sorry, but I'm in the camp that says that people DON'T have to put up with that BS. It's like people forgot how to be civilized on the internet, and it's only getting progressively worse.
If I was 2K Sports, I would have all developers close or change their Twitter accounts respectively to get them out of the public eye. If the masses want to discuss the game, then they need to head to the game forums respectively. From the game's perspective, I think it's time that they "expanded" the tutorials and help information. If the masses have troubles with the game, call/tweet Customer Support.Comment

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
At this point, they know they got to fix the game. Historically, we know they drop patches after launch. If they're NOT aware of what's going on with the game from a technical standpoint, I'd be completely shocked. They're working on it...period. Whether or not they address everything in the next patch will be a different story.Comment

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
Idk about yall but the thought of paying $100 for a game you enjoy on day 1, then having it changed to something completely different because of Twitter is wild to me.
Patches and updates from the game devs themselves are obviously fine because they are simply looking to improve the game. But to have kids on Twitter literally dictate the mechanics of the game to favor them having "fun"...nah fam. I aint having it.
If thats where we're headed with these 2K games, then i might be done sooner than later. Money talks at the end of the day.Lineup:

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
Speaking from someone who had the game before the day 1 or anything else, it definitely was changed.
I didnt see any funny business until after that last speed buff made, and while it wasnt park speed i know it affected something like sliding defenders out the way.
I had made a clip previous to that to show you how great the bumping between offense and defense was... look at how the defender moves his feet instead of getting slid out the way.. it was a moving screen, illegal screen called on the cpu
Anyway its not messed up or unplayable or anything, just faster, which of course will negate some things.
I'm a player who is really onto these little nuances happening, i want weight, i want to feel who i control.
