I pretty much was saying the same thing.

People bringing up the point that casuals spend money means nothing because we all spend money on the game. Some more than others but that doesn't matter.

That point makes no sense to keep bringing up.

Wouldn’t an easier fix be to return to the sim/arcade style gameplay option from a few years ago?

I know the difficulty setting is supposed to make the game more “sim” at higher settings but to me that move never made sense

This would allow the game to appeal to more people, sim players and casual players

Have played a few myleague games tonight (Player locked PG, very high overall on the Hornets) and haven’t noticed any speed related differences. Still able to blow-by bigs, nothing radically different and out of the ordinary to when I played yesterday.

Haven’t been in the park today. Seems if the issue is real in the park that there are mode specific sliders/tuners which is nice.

The gameplay offline has been a 10-out-of-10 for me. Enjoying myleague a lot. The pacing, movement, new dribble system, read-and-react defense have all been awesome. Hope it stays this way.

Love that you can’t do the same things over and over and expect success. You have to read and react to what defenders are on you, how they’re shading, what the help is doing, etc. it’s refreshing from the formulaic, this animation leads to this animation, way the game has been for a long time.

i think it is funny that now people are crying about fixing the game. for Me the game is Not working any worse than All the years before. the game had so many technical issues since... Well always. 2k12 we waited until February to be able to even use online Leagues. every year There are major Bugs that prevent New Features from working. but hey, at least now it seems like the loud Twitter crowd finally notices things too, so might help in fixing them.

It’s a shame if czar is gone from twitter. Him, Nelson and Mazique along with OG are intelligent hoop heads advancing the cause of sim basketball on the inside, and educating to the masses.

If he needs a break, I hope he takes as long as he needs to get into a good space. Our jobs end when we get off the clock, devs are contactable 24/7. It must be draining.

Yeah but social media can be good and bad, just so happens this community is pretty toxic on there, and even the good ones are overshadowed.

Shoot even Chris Smoove told them nothing was wrong with the speed and they should stop asking to change stuff. He didnt get on that pitchfork bandwagon hashtag nonsense.

I honestly don't blame him one bit.

2K needs a community manager though for many reasons.

                    He's the marketer.

Chris Manning's role seems more alligned to what we think of as a community manager, but he rejects the suggestion that's his job.

                      Nope, never was.

Ronnie is apart of the marketing team in NY.

LD2K used to be the community manager but once he left, it was never filled again.

but he's not anymore though. I know he loves what 2k brings but that job was probably too stressful for him.

Used to be fun times with him on here with the hashtags.

2k is stressful. It's a yearly game with a lot of demands. I personally feel like 2k as a company got their hands in the NBA so much that they seem to forget the game has to work for all it's modes. I know it was done in great faith but the WNBA is useless. No one will really play it. 2k could have used the time to work on issues its arcadey games like, like the park and stuff like that. Even MyGM for sim heads. For a hardcore MyLeaguer and draft class advocate, screwing up things in those areas can turn me completely off of 2k so I see why the arcade gamers are pitching a fit.

We should have never given him to the "world."

Those damn #ArcadeNation, MyPark playing suckas don't even KNOW Czar forreal.

I think there's more to it than that.

I remember someone saying that they hold off on patch notes to avoid biasing the feedback. Once you tell gamers you've changed something, they tend to exaggerate.

Yesterday was an example. Apparently park speeds were quickened, and some of us perceived 5 on 5 became a track meet. Would the feedback have been as extreme had Mike never stated speeds were quickened? Probably not.

I think each year is more clear that we need two different games...

                              - One for My Career / My Team where people can have a more casual experiencie and 2k can content the hordes and collect microtransactions without end...

                              - Another one for pure NBA gameplay (MyLeague, Play Now Online) where we can enjoy those sim oriented changes that devs prepared for us simheads.

I would buy both in fact... ;-)

Well, assuming that they did indeed increase speeds for Park/MC only, I think that shows we may not even need go that far. They could basically develop 2 sets of sliders or whatever, one for casual play and one for sim play.

In offline modes, let the user load up whichever they prefer. In online modes, you dedicate some modes to one style, some to another style; for PNO you could just make one sub mode for each style, similar to how FPS games do it with hardcore modes.
