Anything he communicates goes through channels for approval. In this case, the most likely scenario is the engineering side said they could do it and either the business side came in and nixed it or the engineering side discovered they could not actually do it without (for example) breaking something else, and spoke too soon.

This sort of thing happens in It development ALL THE TIME. The problem is the person who gave Ronnie the green light to say something that did not have all the bck end buy in and due diligence behind it.

Ronnie has held that job for a long time, and he hasn't held it by saying anything he has not been authorized to say.

Sounds good but the community probably not trying to hear that. If he leaked the information months prior to the game dropping people probably wouldn’t be bothered as much. We’re a week or two out from release and you’re giving out false information. Regardless of how many channels it has to go thru is simply unacceptable. I wish unemployment on no one. Community managers and devs have to do better. Hopefully this has gotten their attention.

What mode are you playing? It really matters for people to include that so the rest of us can make any sense of the feedback and how the game plays.

My fault for not including that. I’m playing MyLeague on Superstar difficultly. Haven’t touched any of the settings other than the game speed like I mentioned.

Regardless of what your stance is on the game anybody taking to twitter wanting people to lose their jobs because you personally don't like changes in a ****ing video game is why so many people are sick of this whole entitlement issue in our country.

So the social media manager, lies, completely misrepresents the game, not once, not twice, but several times in the last couple of months,

Lies that could ultimately cost $20,000 or $50,000 when you think of all the people watching his live streams that thought they could respec their builds,

You're saying that we shouldn't want the social media/marketing manager to get fired for misrepresenting the company and lying?

Don't act like this guy is going to go homeless. He's made a lot of money and will get a job at a company no problem

I mean you can, there are sliders etc. to keep them separate. I just don't know for sure if they were because it wasn't an official patch update. The way Mike phrased it, it seems like it was just MyPark.

Not sure if you guys noticed but the 2K community is going bonkers on Twitter about 2K20 displeasure. The hashtag #Fix2K20 is even trending.

This worries me because i fear that the devs will change things that do not need to be changed. The game is verrrryy glitchy and buggy. Disconnects, crashes, no rep, and overall infrastructure bugs most DEFINITELY need to be fixed.

However, the GAMEPLAY imo is some of the best we've ever had in a 2K game. I'm seeing opinions on gameplay split between sim and casual guys. I play My Team which is one of the cheesiest modes in the game, but SIM/realistic gameplay is truly being rewarded there once you know what you're doing. The skill gap is much bigger this year, so a lot of the guys that are struggling are complaining.

My fear is that the devs mistake the glitchy bugs that need to be fixed for gameplay changes as well. Gameplay is good. We maybe need 1 or 2 MINOR gameplay tweaks and the game is golden. Please do not do anything drastic.

Idk if you guys will see this, but you have to stand your ground when it comes to gameplay this year. Yes the bugs need to be fixed asap, but PLEASE do not give in to the outcry for gameplay changes. This is the first time in a while where i've actually had to spend a decent amount of time in PRACTICE MODE to learn the game, learn how to dribble, learn how to score, learn how to play defense. As someone who values skilled competitive gameplay, this is amazing. Allow people time to learn the game before you change too much of the gameplay. Please please please i BEG YOU.

Op, I'm with you on this. Usually i would not be in games past. but naw fellas. This 2k20 right here looks like a winner in the gameplay dept. Now granted. You have to give it a few weeks before the cheesers figure out some glitch(es) to abuse. or which archs have the more OP builds. but from what i see in the foundation. I'm liking it a lot. it is by far the most Sim playing game 2k has ever made to date. and its way better than 19.

The one thing i bet people are crying about are the jumpshots. Even if people are greening and splashing just as much as they have in the past. these new jumpers feel super delayed. But I figured out why. I'll make a thread about it. since i havent seen the specifics discussed yet(maybe they have been, but i havent seen it.lol.)

but all in all. pre cheesers 2 weeks in. i'm liking this game and I have 3 loses in the Rec (should've known not to play with randoms...that play buddy ball instead of basketball. :-(
even after taking a couple of L's i still like the game. my teammates horrible basketball IQ's got exposed quickly and we lost by 2 as we should have.

What they need to fix is that online lag its next level in some games you play. the lag is the reason you're ice skating like the winter olympics. because it doesnt do that offline at all.

Again, no, not necessarily. However, since it wasn't an official patch we don't know what modes were impacted.

Mike Wang needs to stop listening to the twitter community only, everyone else (here, reddit, many other places) thought the gameplay was good. The issues people are complaining about are the modes, and glitches not the speed. This has been 2K's biggest problem, him changing the game within the 1st week. Those people complain day 1 and then complain the last day.
