I don't see what the hype is about the game play. I'm trying to hold judgement until players max out their players and then we'll see how everything goes.

The lack of communication and transparency with this company year in and year out is baffling. Something definitely needs to be done. Ronnie does not need to speak on anything 2k related. He's clueless and a pathological liar at this point SMH. I just feel bad for the people who constantly get their hopes up every year just to be let down.
I think this is part of this issue. It can all depend on what game modes you are playing. The people praising gameplay are most likely playing modes like play now (online/offline), my league, my team. Basically modes where you use NBA/WNBA teams.

I also don't know why anyone would rely on Ronnie for any information on the game. He's only a PR guy, not a developer. He's basically just a middle man.

I understand 2k has to market its game but to constantly lie year in and year out is getting old now.

This community is powerful when it comes together. We may not all agree on changes that need to be made but I’m glad everyone came together last night to make the issues go viral. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction.
I'm no Ronnie fan but he's a mouthpiece and hype man. That's his job. If he gave out bad info, he wasn't lying, he was passing along what he was told and it turned out to be bad info.

If he promised a feature and it was bad info it was because someone told him they woul put it in and then someone after that said it either could not or would not be done. This all represents some dysfunction or lack of clarity internally.

You could argue maybe Ronnie should understand internal politics better and not relay info that may still be subject to change, either due to new t4chnical issues or business priorities. But at the end of the day, he is hired and paid to be a mouthpiece, nothing more.

If he gave bad info, he did it because he got burned by people inside 2k.

From Mike : The park speeds were boosted a bit further than desired and will be toned down asap. Apologies.

He definitely did something with his account. He fell off my list of people I follow, and I can't find his account via twitter search.

I was still iso'ing and getting by big's with Dejounte Murray when I was playing.

I think there's a bit of an overreaction here...though I understand the implications.
Yup I play MC also and it’s no different. From my experience guards can still ISO bigs. I’m been blowing by centers relatively easy after the buff. I do so quite a few complaints so the issue could be valid.

Nah, Ronnie definitely deserves to get lit up on Twitter.

The guy completely made up that “respec” feature which could have screwed people out of money.

Regardless of what your stance is on the game anybody taking to twitter wanting people to lose their jobs because you personally don't like changes in a ****ing video game is why so many people are sick of this whole entitlement issue in our country.

Sounds like this is unprofessional. Why are you not confirming a new neighborhood, pie charts, respec feature before sharing that information with the community? Inexcusable in my opinion. He should’ve stopped relying on his “sources” years ago because they’ve been giving him false information for a while. If that’s even the case....

Does this mean that regular game-play was untouched? I don't play in the park much, so hoping game-play for regular teams didn't have any significant changes.

The uproar on Twitter about 2K20

So after playing a couple games, and not being overly emotional over the update. I still stick by that they adjusted the gameplay speed too much. Yes we can still blow by center’s etc etc... But the weight of the players isn’t there anymore.

Is there room for minor adjustments to gameplay? Absolutely! But, I just feel like 2k saw them trending at #1 and #2 all night in a negative way and panicked this morning. Instead they buffed the wrong aspects of the game. When they should have actually read and realized most of the problems were technical in MC load times, blue screens, attributes not being awarded, wins/losses not counting. Those issues were bigger than gameplay alone. If 2k would focus on getting those things right. I honestly feel eventually people would adjust to the gameplay how it was.

I’ve noticed if you lower the actual gameplay speed down to the low 40’s. I think it will help until 2k hopefully reverts everything back.

Anything he communicates goes through channels for approval. In this case, the most likely scenario is the engineering side said they could do it and either the business side came in and nixed it or the engineering side discovered they could not actually do it without (for example) breaking something else, and spoke too soon.

This sort of thing happens in It development ALL THE TIME. The problem is the person who gave Ronnie the green light to say something that did not have all the bck end buy in and due diligence behind it.

Ronnie has held that job for a long time, and he hasn't held it by saying anything he has not been authorized to say.

What mode are you playing? It really matters for people to include that so the rest of us can make any sense of the feedback and how the game plays.

I agree, but it seems like he made some costly comments this particularly year. Personally, I thought he was very condensing when he was talking about the "new" Neighborhood.

Some say it was touched too. Can't seperate the two
