    In theory? Yes
Would 2K stop making the sim game after a few years? Probably

        Great feedback!!

        So how does this sound...

A Big3 licensed, Myplayer standalone that's free-to-play. Would include the playground, rec league, and the Myteam triple threat mode becoming Big3. It would still feature robust career fluff, like flossing out your crib and avatar with micro transactions, but no storyline. You can use your Myplayer in the NBA game, sans the badges and with capped stats. This version of the game would host the e-sports modes, with shots at real-life monies. DLC: NBA Street. Cover athlete: Ice Cube.

An NBA game with all the current season and franchise modes intact. Tuned for simulation. Includes a narrative based Myplayer career mode strictly offline, with less of the badges and other gadgets. You can use your NBA Myplayer build in the Big3 game, but at the cost of a slower development grind. 5v5 MyTeam modes on and offline. Cover athlete: Da_Czar

Just come out with a game called Park, $100 retail and you get like 5k VC and some exclusive shoes that can only be accessed by your first build in like February or something.

Make MyLeague/Franchise mode a $25 annual PSN/Steam downloadable game that does not hardly work and is neglected by developers.

Make MyTeam $60 a month, which initially seems costly until you realize you get four free packs a month for that price and might get an amethyst Rudy Tomjanovich that somehow shoots threes like prime Klay

I've had NUMEROUS "offline" NBA games I've had to replay completely so far in 2k20 because the 2k servers "lose connection" to me and don't save anything I just did.

            Also, just for future reference:

MyCareer is the same thing as MyPlayer.
Your missing the point. Mycareer is a single player mode. You do not play with other people in mycareer. You can take your myplayer into the online modes to play pro am, rec center, park etc. And the way it has worked in the past is if you start your career online then yes you need to be connected at all times. You could start one offline and it allows you to play without a connection. Idk how they did it this year as my console is always connected online. You guys need to understand, not all of us who play mycareer play the online modes which is park. I can play sim in mycareer just like you can in myleague. In fact a lot of us have already said they need to separate mycareer from park as in order for them to balance the park they have to severely limit the actual mycareer mode. I don’t play park. I want to enjoy the mycareer mode and customize it to my liking with sliders, no attribute restrictions etc.
It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

This is the outcome I see. From a business standpoint, they wouldn't do this. As much as we would like to think that sim guys/franchise guys can carry a game that was strictly tailored to us, I don't think there would be enough.

And each new game, each new patch fixes mainly MyPlayer issues BUT also impact realism in classic basketball game mode.

Rebalancing archetypes for online mode shouldnt impact.
However, 2K16/2k17/2k18/2k19 werent the same game at their release and after first patches while i play only offline modes (quick game / myleague).

Oh no I dig that and guys who play offline are right in all their statements.

I’m more referring to the notion that because one plays offline he’s more “sim” than someone who plays online. Which isn’t a fair notion at all , because I play mycareer , park , rec, pro am , PNO but I play with a basketball mindset because in reality I’ve played b-ball as high as overseas so my play style reflects my reality which puts me in that sim category despite playing all modes

                  That's not fun.
Why dont you just play with them in my league with player lock? If you're not interested in online why the need to play mycareer? The story is pretty much over before you even play the first game of the season

Because MyCareer is an offline mode lol. I should be able to create whatever I want & play the offline mode however I feel. Park/Rec/Pro Am/Cages etc etc are online modes - I don't play those.

I've yet to encounter another gamer in a MyCareer game..so how is it an online mode? Why should't I have the same customizability of MyLeague in a mode that's built & designed to be played..offline...?

Taking the avatar (MyPlayer) online to participate in Park/Rec/Pro Am should add competitive balancing restrictions - not the offline MyCareer mode.

People keep confusing MyCareer for MyPlayer. One is an avatar that you take online and the other is a mode that started offline years ago, was extended to include online functionality & 2K just never separated them.

But they did add an option to completely bypass the offline mode to get straight to the NBA & subsequently The Neighborhood...because that made more sense than just separating the modes...for some reason (cuz they're still getting their VC purchases from the online community anyway...so why not separate the modes)
