I've restarted with the Trail Blazers after the Melo news using the "start today" feature.
Now with the news that Gasol is likely going to retire and Whiteside being awful again I feel like they really have a few moves to make. I've put together a few ideas and maybe some of you have ideas for it.

Start with the soft one. Birch was actually great last year when he played, but this year he fell out of the rotation completely. I still like his game and I feel he would be a great addition to the squad as long as Nurk is out.

Grizzlies receive

two 2nd round picks

Iguodala

That one is tough with every real contender wanting his service. But who would actually give something up for him when they know he won't play there and likely gets cut anyway? What are other deals for Iggy that you did, for the Lakers or Clippers for example?

Hassan Whiteside

Blazers receive
Taj Gibson
Marcus Morris

Can't figure it out exactly with all these Knicks forwards, but they seem to be a logical trade partner for the Blazers. Maybe exchange Morris with Portis? Or try it with Julius Randle?

I know, there are rumours for guys like Blake, Aldridge or Love. But I don't know how that would work without CJ in the deals, and I don't want to trade him. So I'm looking for small deals to get rid of Whiteside and bring back a few guys with energy and defensive upside.

I think all those trades are fair to other side. At this point without giving up CJ I don't see Blake or Love happening. Cleveland seems reluctant to trade Love for just cap space (Whiteside/Bazemore) so you would have to probably include significant picks. As for Blake I'm not sure Detroit is willing to trade him at all simply based on the investment they made and Detroit's owner wanting at least a home playoff game for financial reasons (and Blake being a merchandise monster as well). CJ would be must for Detroit to trade Blake and even then I'm not 100% sure they do it.

As for San Antonio, I think that might depend on how they are doing in your myleague. IRL they are playing horribly and it is probably time to blow it up. The major issue is that DeRozan has a large player option so he lacks value as an expiring. That leaves LA has the biggest trade chip (although rumors have Orlando wanting DeRozan for some unexplained reason). I could see SA willing to except Whiteside/Bazemore if some picks are added as well. But gain this is all based on if SA is struggling in your myleague. If they are a solid playoff team, I think they stick with LA. While CJ has value, SA has Murray, White, and Walker all as young guards so I don't see SA valuing CJ as high as some other clubs.

I'm doing 30 team control and getting back to Bogdanovic I'm thinking about a trade to the Raptors. Raptors send Powell and a lottery protected 1st (not that it looks like they will be anywhere near lottery in my myleague). IRL Bogdanovic is apparently unhappy being 6th man and the Kings are tied to Fox and Hield long term in the backcourt and even Barnes at the 3 (I guess he could play the 4). They can match any offer he gets as a restricted FA but with so much tied into Barnes and Hield and with extensions looming for Fox and Bagley it's seems unlikely they would be able to match what he is likely to get. Kings offered the max they can extend him at 4/51m IRL but he obviously can get more on the open market and again seems to be unhappy with the 6th man role.

Toronto gets an upgrade over Powell and allows Van Vleet to go back to 6th man, plus gives superior playmaking skill over Powell allowing Van Vleet to play more off ball again with Lowry on the bench.

Doing a start in offseason for the Clippers and was thinking of doing a trade with the Pacers centered around Gallinari and Sabonis. Do you guys think this would be a fair trade?

The Pacers are taking on Gallinari's salary instead of using cap space in free agency. Maybe if the pick swap was reversed I could see them considering it, but I'm not sure why they'd give up Sabonis, the good end of a pick swap, and lose all of that cap space for Gallinari and Robinson.

Im using the knicks in my first online myleague. I was a late addition to the league so the other players have pulled off some significant moves already. Any advice on any players I could pick up that are slept on? I feel like there is usually a few players that play way beyond what their overall would indicate. Any advice is appreciated.

Pacers are supposed to get the better pick, I just always get the swaps confused lol. The idea for the Pacers is that they don't want to pay Sabonis and Turner with Oladipo's contract extension coming up (basically what was rumored a couple of weeks ago). Also, Gallinari gives Oladipo some scoring help and he's on an expiring contract. Do you think it would be better if I replaced Robinson with Shamet? I don't mind giving him up since I still have Shai.

Need more for Tatum IMO. He was rumoured to be traded for tier 1 stars like Kawhi and Anthony Davis. Those players are not on the same level of those two.

I really like Thon Maker and Ben McLemore as 2 guys you can pick up for cheap. Mo Bamba is a bit more expensive but plays like an all star

I wasn't able to trade for Jayson Tatum, but I did come up with another idea, since I want my team to be full of defensive players, what u guys think about this trade
