Re: NBA 2K20 MyLeague Thread
yep. I've mentioned it several time in various threads. And to make it worse, teams then sign those same 2nd round picks for 2/3m and 2/4m contracts. Huge design flaw. It's why 30 team control is a must, even if only to switch of the auto function to manual for stuff like signing draft picks and team options. You can put everything as auto and still change it when need be. So even if you are comfortable letting the CPU do all it's lineups, g league stuff, roster moves during the season, contract extensions, even trades, you can still leave signing draft picks to manual for all teams. By doing it manual you can also offer many 2nd round picks 2 way contracts.Comment

We are beneath their notice. If it doesn't effect VC and online players moods, then it's not a priority.Comment

Re: NBA 2K20 MyLeague Thread
Never played MyLeague and not really that knowledgeable about how everything works in regards to trades/drafts/contracts/G-league so obviously decided to start with the NY Knicks. I'm playing with Schnaidts sliders, both ingame and MyLeague so it's been a bit rough. Playing against the crap teams and generally doing alright in those, and simming the rest since the first season is pointless for me.
Traded away Ntilikina since he's crap for Kennard and a pick, traded Kennard for someone crap and a pick, traded Morris for Evan Turner and a pick. So I've accumulated some picks at least, hopefully will draft someone good and try to sign a decent free agent and make a trade to become a bit more relevant. Have I screwed something up here or am I at least on the right path? I'm pretty clueless as you can probably tell.
Will not extend Portis or Turner, should I try to trade them for something else? Kevin Love is getable but I'm not sure I should go for him. Any tips?Comment

MyLeague - Cavaliers Update
End of 2021 - 2022
The final day of the regular season was full of emotions. Four teams were competing for three spots: Paul George's Raptors; Kawhi Leonard's Knicks; Durant and Kyrie's Nets; and us. Emotion added, we were away in Brooklyn. We ended up beating the Nets convincingly and seeded 7th. We meet the Bucks, and even if we gave a fight, they won the series.
My goal on the offseason was to resign Colin Sexton and keep the core intact. We had to let Thompson and Dylan Winter go, but we got Sexton in a 3years, roughly 17M each year. Nothing noteworthy in the draft.
Free agents came to plug holes. I'm going to go with Damian Jones to replace Tristan Thompson. But I'll be on the lookout for a new center during the season.
Players are developing well, except Sexton. I wish that player progression would be before free agency.
Start of 2022 - 2023
PG
Garland
Carter-Williams
Strong ('21 Draft)
SG
Sexton
Porter Jr
Cousins ('22 Draft)
SF
Harvey ('20 Draft): He's progressing well, a great defender.
Osman
Ojeleye: I wanted somebody more defensive-minded.
PF
Collins
Nance Jr
Chapman ('21 Draft)
C
Harrell
Damian Jones
Crawford ('22 Draft)
In the first game of the season, we dominated a weak Orlando. Damian Jones was great.Comment

I’m having a blast with player lock. Using the ADT roster and Schnaidt slider set. Haven’t touched MyCareer in almost a month now

Re: NBA 2K20 MyLeague Thread
Started in 2019-20 with expanded Vancouver Beavers. Also added Louisville Liberty.
Traded 1st pick Mason Plumlee to the Jazz for Dante Exum. Now have
PG - Exum, Isaiah Whitehead, Raul Neto
SG - Troy Daniels, Jordan McRae
SF - Luol Deng, Dekker, Caboclo, Luwawu-Cabarrot
PF - Terrance Jones, Michael Beasley, Jarrell Martin
C - Gorgui Dieng, Deyonta Davis
Currently 7-13 after 20 matches.
My trade-deadline targets are
- Shooting off-guard: Terrance Ross, Alec Burks, Bruce Brown Jr
- 2020 First round pick: Most likely will need to package Dieng + Dekker.
- Rescue Derrick Jones Jr: Hasn't been played in Miami so will try and trade for him.Comment

Re: NBA 2K20 MyLeague Thread
My suggestions would be:
1: Trade him for Paul Millsap. Denver used their Team Option to extend his contract but obviously he gets way too much money for his production so I think they only extended his contract to be able to trade him for some big contract. They can start Jerami Grant at the PF if Millsap is gone I think Porter + Millsap for Holiday + Nicolo Melli (or another big) could work. Probably New Orleans should throw in a 2nd Rounder.
2: Trade him for Gary Harris. Here you would get a kind of young player like Harris instead of the old Millsap. Also Denver Rotation at the Shooting Guard/Small Forward positions wouldn't be as heavy loaded as in my first suggestion. Harris has lost some value in the last months and I think Denver could move him. Porter + Harris for Holiday could work.
Just two suggestions!Comment

Tough one since Holiday gets around 26 Mio per Year and the Nuggets are definitely not a rebuilding Team.

Re: NBA 2K20 MyLeague Thread
IRL Millsap is in the top 5 of the entire league in defensive efficiency. THAT is why they picked up his option. That said, the team is somewhat underperforming IRL, so i could see them shaking things up. It really depends on how it is working out in 2K. I've done 2 different myleague expansion teams and both times Denver has been racked by injuries (including Millsap breaking his leg) and barely made the pl'ayoffs
But with his contract he is some kind of overpaid. Denver would have probably used that 30 Mio otherwise but in their current situation it only made sense to pick up the option because even without him they would only have like 10 Mio cap space. With that 10 Mio they most likely wouldn't get a player with the quality of Millsap.Comment
