Any tips for using broadcast cam? Find it much harder to get the shot/layup/animation I want.

Change your shooting, dribbling and defense controls with the R Stick to camera relative. It makes A LOT of sense, because the way you use the stick will correspond with the positioning of your player on the court in that camera view (trust me, it makes sense)

Yeah, the notion that an advantage exists somehow from a competitive standpoint with 2K cam doesn't make sense at all to me... which is why I say in my first post that someone who plays on broadcast is no less SIM or worse at the game than someone who plays on 2K cam.

In fact, the large majority of people who have commented in this thread are using broadcast 100% of the time, they are PLAYING and not watching just like those on 2K cam.

When you are on the corners on 2K cam, driving baseline etc, you are literally not behind the player, the camera doesnt spin to being behind the player, you are only directly behind the player when you are bringing up the ball, or facing the basket from the front, and still you are in a 3rd person perspective hovering above the player.

Broadcast players are no less sim or skilled than 2K cam users, and vice versa. Whatever view you play on and enjoy, is great. But myself playing on broadcast doesnt mean I am any less SIM, or SKILLED than someone who plays on 2K cam.

I wasn't saying you can't play every single bit as well on broadcast. And yes, you are playing, but I'm just saying I that I prefer the experience to look a little more like actually playing basketball looks like. I like feeling like I'm on the court.

Re: 2K Cam vs Broadcast Cam

i play on broadcast cam only as i want to mimic every "NBA" player movement. i like to relieve the game before and still play it as if i was the "NBA" player.

here some sample. i try to emulate how Lillard attack the basket.

or this Derozan dunk with real sound

at the same time what they wear specially shoes has to reflect on the game.

if that is not sim/realistic gaming then i dont know what is.

my apology for the video. just want to show to the people who play 2k cams that we dont just watch the game we actually play "NBA" basketball. Peace

Used to be broadcast only for the longest time. Switched to 2K cam last year and haven’t looked back since.

So much easier for me to play good defense and to run my offense on 2K cam. Opens up the entire court for me on both ends.

If you actually ever played basketball, then 2K View is the only way to play. If you just watch basketball on TV then yes, Broadcast would be the obvious choice.

Yeah, I played college, ref college/hs now and have been playing broadcast forever. This is an asinine take by you.

I played and do play, and have preferred broadcast since day 1. I prefer broadcast whether I am on player lock, playing 5 on 5, shooting around in freestyle, etc.

Again, 2K cam does not make me feel like I am actually on the court playing at all, for the reasons I have already mentioned. I play on broadcast with camera relative controls, and that's my preference. Nobody who plays on 2K cam is superior to broadcast players basketball playing wise or knowledge wise, and vice versa. It's a camera view preference.

Like the person who commented above me stated, saying that 2K cam is the only way to play if you "actually ever played basketball" is not a sound take, and also not accurate.

                                Broadcast Cam all day!
I buy 2k for the sole reason of my love for the nba hence the title of the game. Broadcast replicates how I watch the nba. I’ve seen a lot of comments about 2k cam is for people who know/play basketball better.... I’d just go outside and play basketball in that case, instead of living vicariously through a video game.
