In the older 2Ks before "Broadcast", I believe it was "Side", "Press", and "TV Cycle". I love the TV Cycle cam when it was showing the actually side broadcast view, but when it randomly went super up close to the ball handler, it was impossible to PLAY on. That was my main frustration with the original 2K, that we didn't have a consistent broadcast camera.

However, you mentioned "side", I believe this is what you were talking about. I uploaded this awhile ago (Original 2K gameplay) using an emulator. I own the physical game, but this is the only way I could record it (Using Demul). Dont mind the crowd bug.

But yeah, this was the best I could get for a "broadcast" type view.

i understand the love for 2k cam, but Broadcast Generic for me zoomed out as far as it can go. This or nothing.

Here is a camera angle I really wish they would bring back, and it was ONLY in 2K8. Trust me, I went backwards and forwards looking to see if they put this "crowd" camera (That resembles the old Live angle) in other 2K's, and they didn't have it in any other 2K but 2K8.

These are highlights of a game against my brother. But this would look really cool on this gen, and It's a "gameplay friendly" camera that shows the whole court.

That's what's up. . . Side was the best, it made the floor seem somewhat bigger. I also sometimes played on TV Cycle Cam, everything you just said was spot on about it. I still have my original Dreamcast, the HARD copies of ALL those older 2K series, 4 controllers with extended controller cords in the storage space over my garage along with my Atari[emoji1421][emoji41]

My favorite "Iso cam", was great on 2k College Hoops, wasn't quite as good on
NBA2K10 -17 because in my opinion it was a little too close. I liked it because it gave the a 3D feel to it.

My personal preference right now is the "high cam" with zoom at 2 & height at 8 or 10.

I'm a 2k cam guy. Imo, it's closer to how the game looks when you're playing, and in 2k, I'm playing basketball, not watching.

Different strokes for different folks, it's all good.

For me, I never had the feeling of actually playing on 2K cam, as it's a 3rd person view that hovers above the court. And, it has the other disadvantages (Atleast to me) that I mentioned prior.

I am also an offline guy, and play the LARGE majority in MyLeague or play now. I am not online creating a player, out at the park, etc. Now, If I were to play those modes, I would also use broadcast.

Either way, it's whatever gives you the best experience. For me its different versions of broadcast.

I always use 2K camera, just feels weird playing without it after all the years using it.

I absolutely think that can contribute to the "choice" in both cases. Some have played on 2K cam since they started playing (Or since the series started), and it feels strange using a different camera view.

For me I have other reasons outside of the feel. Many reasons feel wise, and otherwise.

The good thing is, we have the choice. Its win win really, as long as we are not playing locally and fighting with someone about which camera view to play on. Luckily, both my brothers prefer broadcast cam ten fold (like me) so it's never a problem.

I can play on both. The game looks much better in broadcast cam but I mostly play on 2K cam. Funny the other game I play strictly on broadcast.

I PLAY 2K CAM CUZ I LIKE TO WIN. haha.

Need that floor vision. Big into stealing long passes, tipping them. I'm the designated fast break defender usually.

But I remember give n go. I liked 2k cam even back then.

Even stealing passes in the half court is probably easier on 2k cam.

                                I NEED TO STEAL PASSES.
