This is what happens when you make a 5-9 pg that can’t dunk for the past 4 years.....lol.

I’m not getting this finishing the alleyoop down......my goodness.

My guy doesn’t finish the oop. He will go up catch it and then come back down.

Do I hold square ? Tap square ?

Lol.

I usually press up on the RS when I think my teammate is going to throw me one (proactive vs reactive), and I just hold the stick until I dunk or miss the lob.

No no.....made a Vince carter clone. 6-7, already at an 87. He has VC’s dunk package equipped. He has to have enough ratings to catch and finish an opp.

Honestly, I find pressing up on the RS to be easier for whatever reason. In my mind, I see myself as "going up" to catch the lob, lol.

Yea and then you come back from your dream and dude dumped it to you and you're getting bodied by a play sharp hahaha.



Nah I feel u tho because I'm the same way. I press it like I'm gonna crash yknow so it's funny. In a lot of ways I do stuff way differently than other people but that's a good mechanism imo.



And imo dudes are at fault for not throwing the oop. They prepare you like they are always gonna throw it then you get played once in awhile.


N trust I dunno if there is a too short limit as long as u got an oop package etc for optimal results.

I absolutely hate when they pass me the ball when I go into the paint. 90% of the time, like you said, I'll get bodied and I'm forced to reset the play. I don't know about 2K21, but I know height didn't make a difference in 2K20. My PG was able to catch lobs, and he's 6'0"...I think, lol...I forgot off the top of my head, but I know I created a short PG.

When the lob is thrown , your player will jump and that is when you press square.

Basicially after your player jumped.

Just play my career on pro.
Call iso with the ball in the cpu hand and then cut and doubble tap triangle.

Better is to get team takeover and practice.

Or use the practice drill if its still in lol

Thanks boys. Got 3 alleys in one game last night. Way to old and slow to hit square at the right time. I just hold up on the Rstick up (play on 2k low cam).

haha I feel you. I might be old and slow, but I know everything that's gonna happen before it happens.



The game has changed a lot tho with the way they made pass steals. I used to throw the ball by people's ear all the time but now people are pressing square. It's funny doods finally know that. There's almost no reason to not press square each time someone makes a pass.



Same w/ oops, they seem a bit less effective. They are still strong though. It's funny to play against some Zen kids who got like slide and shot programmed in and are trying to get open, then after they can't they just throw up an oop.It works but not as well as it used to.


way easier to throw an oop than to stop it. I remember in L*ve if you were there and pressed steal, it was yours every time. In 2k you gotta be quick, like before the guy starts jumping, to trigger the animation.

I can see why they let you dashboard with no penalty.

I had to dash 7 tines before getting a somewhat decent group to run with.

Jeez. Some of these teams of 5 can make you sick to your stomach.

Dashboard give the other team the win and move on.
