The new wave of offensive threats are pretty solid defensively as well since the blue/green pie chart was discovered. I have an offensive threat that gets 8 defensive badges. Build is pretty damn OP.

The Rec experience is nothing but a copy and paste of 2k16 that had the exact same problems. SF's playing the 4 and 3 PG's being on the same time. It's terrible.

Got a 6'7 SF (3 level, red and green chart), and kinda prefer the 4. If I've set my defensive badges up in preparation, it's actually really fun frustrating dudes with seven footers on D and able to take them away from the paint on offense.

Not only do badges enhance what you do well, but I also use them to help me level off mismatches.

Nah...I have 6'0" 2-Way PG, and I was placed at the SF spot. I presumed that I was placed there, because I probably had the lowest pass ratings out of the THREE PGs on the team. My *** got roasted.

While that is a problem, in my experience, it's not uncommon for both teams to have 3 guards, 1 SF (me) and a big (4 or 5). Granted yours may be different as a guard, I could imagine manynof you matchups would also be guards.

How is this even possible? You shouldnt be able to queue up with FIVE bigs!!!

Course we lost cuz i was with randoms. One slasher dude was flopping for 2 quarters cuz he wasnt getting the ball. The 2 shooters i kept screening for but they kept driving in.

I swear its games like this that make me not want to play this game at all. That team shouldnt have been allowed into the rec, period. And then they should have been so slow and not able to shoot to been KILLED.

              Im done.

While I'm not trying to flame you, a balanced team versus a bunch of bigs with no ball handlers, y'all should've prioritized defense outside of the paint (i.e. put tons of pressure on the ball and lanes before they got it inside). Offensively, spread the floor, and/or use your speed advantage.

                That's what I try when out-sized.

I was the PF and i was with randoms. If i had NOT been playing the paint then they would have blown us out by 50.

Speed advantage is overrated in rec. Simply cuz the courts are too small.

Against that lineup, just camp around the block. They got no perimeter threats. Those interior forces might be able to shoot but haven’t met many who could.

I hope in next Gen systems, we get bigger courts because right now these courts are too condensed.

I'm not tripping about the 3 guard matchup, because I do see those. I'm just saying that the matchmaking should be smart enough to know to not put a 6'0" PG at the SF spot. I might have tried to use my speed to my advantage, but I was deemed "trash" when my man was scoring so much. As a result, I didn't get the ball. It was so bad that they wouldn't even pass me the ball when I had an uncontested layup for a fastbreak.

As much as people complain about dribble gods these small courts + passing lanes lead to it.

I don't know who would make a player under 6'3 in this state of the game but 6' at the SF position is almost suicide lol. 2k definitely has to fix the matchmaking and what position they put these players at.

The only time I'm not at the one is if there's another playmaker on my team. I'm usually matched up with smaller offensive threats and they still put me at the 1 regardless. I don't get it.

I think it's based off passer rating. Have a buddy who made a sharp playmaker 6'3. His ball handling is higher but my passer rating is 91 where his is 89. I'm 6'5. It works out because i have better defensive badges but it can confuse people on the break and off the inbound.
