Re: MyLeague Random Events
Wait until the off season. Think of it as the Anthony Davis situation, it was known he wanted out but no trade happened until JulyComment

Re: MyLeague Random Events
I just wanted to say thank you for this. I am using it for my basketball dynasty to add a bit more story to the NBA portion of what I'm doing. Great work!?The Bulgarian Brothers - a story of two brothers (Oggy and Dinko) as they coach in the NCAA and the NBA.

Re: MyLeague Random Events
Hi, I used the tutorial to add custom events and added some that i´d like to share.
- Thanks, Doc : The player get his health increased by 20 or up to 80 (This would be something like a that Kobe´s treatment in Germany for his knees.
- Time to win, fellas : Using the "All Players" list, using only players with 1 year left, increase the "play to win" attribute up to 90 and decrease loyalty to 20.
- Stretching the floor: Same as "Big 3" but only applies to Centers.Comment

Re: MyLeague Random Events
It's a pretty simple 2 step process.
1. Head to the 'Lookup' tab on the far right and locate the time of league year want to add a story to and input what you want at the bottom of the columns.
2. Next you need to head to the Named Ranges and adjust the range for the appropriate Named Range to include your newly added event. To find Named Ranges, click the Data tab at the top and go about 2/3 of the way down that menu and you'll find Named Ranges.
Since we added an event to the NBA Draft section we need to adjust the two Named Ranges shown to include the extra row.
If you hover over one of those ranges you will see a pencil icon show up, click that and you will be able to edit the formulas.
In our case we need to change the "DraftLookup" formula from "Lookup!I2:I8" to "Lookup!I2:I9" and the "DraftResultLookup" from "Lookup!I2:J8" to "Lookup!I2:J9".
If you add multiple events to a section you just have to adjust the row number to ensure its included. If you add it into multiple stages of the league year you have to do the two steps above to each section and its corrusponding Named Range.Comment

Re: MyLeague Random Events
This is incredible. Thank you for this. I think you managed to encapsulate so many of our wishes into such a simple tool. Thank you for actually putting in the work to make it funcional and accessible.
The weird thing is not even thinking "wow I have thought about that before!", its wondering about how such an improvement to the myLeague experience, which adds TONS of value to it, is overlooked by 2k (well, we all know why).Comment

Re: MyLeague Random Events
This looks awesome. I've always tried to replicate the randomness of real basketball with myleague. IMO it fixes the problem with the herd of 80's overall players after 4-5 seasons as long as a lot of the random events decrease stats.
There should be special draft events that mess with players potentials/stats.Comment

Re: MyLeague Random Events
Nevermind I just checked out the spreadsheet. It has a whole summer league and draft column? I've literally dreamed of 2k doing something like this! I'll help think of some more suggestions but I'll definitely be using this for my leagues.Comment

Re: MyLeague Random Events
It's just a Google Spreadsheet. My guess is that if it's not available on mobile, that's a google problem with their spreadsheet not enabling macros from mobile browsers. Have you tried to use a chromium-based browser like Edge or Chrome on your mobile device??The Bulgarian Brothers - a story of two brothers (Oggy and Dinko) as they coach in the NCAA and the NBA.
