    Love this thread. Was wondering if you could do a breakdown of Dejounte Murray? Thanks in advance

      Hey Rashidi, your breakdowns are great, and extremely detailed. Any chance you could do a Kobe breakdown from like 2008-10?

          As far as I know intangibles is only there to manipulate the OVR of a player. Comparing intangibles between players is not a good way to approach it and you could easily fix the OVR issue with centers by properly using INT.

            Consciously aware. I have a scale.

            Adjusting for centers has been a consideration.

            Rating w/o any adjustment makes it clear where 2K's formula adjustments need to be made. Literally anyone *cough* can go in and make an INT adjustment to an individual player.

            Getting as much data as possible is important for keeping bias out of the equation.

              Re: Intangibles rating, I personally make all players have 25 intangibles and let the overall end up where it ends up after having players rated as I believe they should be.

                I understand - but intangibles literally mean nothing to the build of the player. It's whole reasoning is an OVR adjustment to a player. If you really want to eliminate bias you should not even touch INT.

                  My scale (which 2K somewhat adopted after the fact):
                  99 = All-Time Great
                  90 = All-Star
                  80 = Starter / Sixth Man
                  70 = Rotation Player
                  60 = End of Bench
                  50 = G-League

                  If a starter, backup, and 3rd string all had identical statistics, this ensures the proper player gets the rotation spot.

                  A tighter range means the bonuses are ultimately slight. Whereas 2K has them all over the place with a wider range (30-99).

                    Didn't they also adjust the scale not only in the higher OVR ranges but also in the lower ranges? there are no 50 OVR players in the game anymore. The lowest OVR you can find is 66. Many end of bench guys are sitting at 70-73 OVR. The G-League guys are having something between 66 and 70.

                        If thats so, why is there "Intagibles" listed as one of possible GAME STYLES for each coach?

                          You are reading too much into it, intangible rating, as said, only serves to alter OVR ... Also, Shot IQ does not means that players will take better shots, its rather how agressive/quick will the AI shoot if open ...

                          Rule no.1 for custom roster editors, do not consider that all the names of attributes or tendencies literally mean that.

                            The Hawks are an interesting team to rate and project because many of their key players were acquired via trade and two of them never got a chance to suit up for the team before the season was cut short. They should be one of the most improved teams in 2021. If everything breaks right for them, they'll be surprise contenders after being one of the league's worst this season.

                            Atlanta Hawks
                            STARTERS
                            92 (+2) Trae Young (PG): Offensive Threat
                            87 (+1) John Collins (PF/C): Inside-Out Scorer (from 3-Level Scorer)
                            85 (-1) Clint Capela (C): Glass-Cleaning Finisher (from Paint Beast)
                            77 (+2) Kevin Huerter (SG/SF): Deep-Range Shot Creator (from 3pt Specialist)
                            77 (+2) De’Andre Hunter (SF/PF): Sharpshooter (from Mid-Range Specialist)

                            81 (+3) Jeff Teague (PG/SG): Inside-Out Playmaker (from Playmaker)
                            79 (+4) Skal Labissiere (PF/C): Mid-Range Finisher (from Mid-Range Specialist)
                            77 (+4) Cameron Reddish (SF/SG): Offense Initiator
                            77 (+4) DeWayne Dedmon (C): Mid-Range Specialist (from Mid-Range Shooter)
                            76 (+4) Vince Carter (SF/PF): Mid-Range Finisher (from Mid-Range Specialist)
                            74 (-1) Damian Jones (C): Lob Threat (from Interior Big)
                            74 (-1) Bruno Fernando (C): Finisher (from Interior Finisher)

                            71 (NC) Treveon Graham (SG/SF): Shooter (from Mid-Range Finisher)

                            PROJECTED 2021 DEPTH CHART
                            PG: Young (92), Goodwin (73)
                            SG: Huerter (77)
                            SF: Hunter (77), Reddish (77), Brown (72)
                            PF: Collins (87)
                            C: Capela (85), Dedmon (77), Fernando (74)

                            2K SPORTS ROSTER NOTES
                            Cam Reddish (73 OVR) looks like he hasn't been touched since December. 2K has him rated 12th best on the team. At 75 OVR, 3rd string caliber players Bembry, Fernando, and Damian Jones are rated on par with the team's starting SG and SF.

                            POINT GUARD
                            Trae Young (92) exploded in his sophomore season, reaching superstar level much faster than anticipated. Young's defense (worst in the NBA back-to-back seasons) limits his overall ceiling, but he's still a player to build around. He's modern Steve Nash.

                            Jeff Teague (81) was acquired mid-season for the remnants of Allan Crabbe. The former Hawk is a starting caliber player and a bit of a luxury for this team. Teague saw many of his minutes at SG off the bench, and struggled. He'll likely depart in free agency to a team more in need of his services.

                            Brandon Goodwin (73) is exactly what the Hawks want out of a 3rd string PG. He earned his promotion from a Two-Way contract.

                            SHOOTING GUARD
                            Kevin Huerter (77) was held in high regard after his rookie season, with some comparing him to Klay Thompson, projecting the next iteration of the Splash Bros. Yet Huerter isn't the defensive player or scorer that Klay is, and didn't really improve much in his sophomore season. He might be backing up Cam Reddish next season.

                            DeAndre Bembry (73) still can't shoot or stay healthy. He'd need to re-invent himself as the backup PG to stick with the Hawks in a meaningful role in restricted free agency.

                            Treveon Graham (71) is held in higher regard than his dismal statistical output would indicate. Graham is a solid defender, yet has only shot 35% from the field and 28% from 3pt his last two seasons. I anticipate him joining a non-rebuilding team in free agency.

                            SMALL FORWARD
                            DeAndre Hunter (77) was drafted for his defense, but didn't make much of an impact there. A bit alarming as he's older for a high-lottery prospect. With Cam Reddish progressing quickly, Hunter is likely battling Kevin Huerter for a starting job next season.

                            Cam Reddish (77) was historically dreadful to start the season, but substantially improved after that. He's an 80+ OVR if we exclude his first half.
                            Pre-ASB: 9-4-2 on 35-32-79 shooting
                            Post-ASB: 16-4-1 on 50-39-85 shooting

                            Vince Carter (76) finally had age catch up to him at 43. His 3pt shooting declined and his finishing ability fell off a cliff. It was a good run for Vinsanity. He was still more productive as a small-ball four than Paul Pierce was his last two seasons.

                            Charlie Brown Jr (72) spent most of the season in the G-League. He has ties to Bembry and Hunter, so I expect him to continue with the organization next season.

                            POWER FORWARD
                            John Collins (87) had an All-Star caliber season marred by his early-season suspension. The Hawks were 15-26 w/ Collins and 5-21 without him. His pick & pop game with Young is an integral piece of the team's future.

                            Skal Labissiere (79) never got a chance to play for the Hawks. By all accounts, he is Collins-lite. Similar build with a good jumper. He spent most of his minutes at center this year, backing up Hassan Whiteside in Portland. He suffered his injury two minutes into his first start of the year (at PF, w/ Melo sliding to SF). Given his similarities to Collins, I would like to see the team retain him in restricted free agency as their backup PF.

                            CENTER
                            Clint Capela (85) acquired Capela to be their starting center for the next few years, shoring up a position of major weakness. Unlike Russell Westbrook, Trae Young won't cause any spacing issues playing w/ Capela. I'm expecting the Hawks to push for 45 wins

                            DeWayne Dedmon (77) was thrilled to get out of Sacramento and return to the Hawks. He's overpaid at 13M, but his shooting, rebounding, rim protection, and veteran leadership help shore up the position.

                            Damian Jones (74) went from starter to out of the rotation when the team re-acquired Dedmon. This is without Capela ever even playing a minute for the team. Jones will likely move on in restricted free agency.

                            Bruno Fernando (74) is likely the long-term 3rd string center. Good defender but a bit limited offensively.
