Came up with a scale for Attack Strong / Dish to Open Man (also think I cracked the 2K formula). Was much happier with the ball movement. Fewer players putting their head down. The Bucks took plenty of threes, while the Knicks took plenty of FTs.
Bucks 124
STARTERS
B.Lopez: 6-11-3 (3-4 FG, 0-1 3PT), 30 mins, 5 fouls, 2 steals, 6 blocks
Giannis: 31-9-5 (15-21 FG, 1-1 3PT), 26 mins, 5 dunks, 1 steal, 5 blocks
Middleton: 20-2-1 (7-18 FG, 2-5 3PT, 4-4 FT), 23 mins
Matthews: 7-5-4 (3-5 FG, 1-1 3PT), 23 mins
Bledsoe: 18-2-7 (8-14 FG, 2-3 3PT), 30 mins, 1 dunk
BENCH
R.Lopez: 4-6-0 (2-2 FG), 16 mins
Ilyasova: 7-3-1 (2-2 FG, 3-3 FT), 17 mins
Korver: 0-0-1 (0-3 FG, 0-3 3PT), 16 mins
DiVincenzo: 10-1-2 (4-9 FG, 1-2 3PT, 1-1 FT), 18 mins
Hill: 13-2-5 (6-10 FG, 1-2 3PT), 18 mins
Connaughton: 0-0-1 (0-1 FG, 0-1 3PT), 13 mins
Williams: 5-2-0 (2-3 FG, 1-1 3PT), 8 mins
Brown: 3-1-1 (1-2 FG, 1-1 3PT), 8 mins
Bucks got out to a 10-0 start and never looked back.
The only quibble I have with this line is 21 FGA and no FTA for Giannis. His athleticism might be preventing fouls instead of generating them. His animations are simply too clean. He gets these lobs that the CPU makes no effort to defend.
Knicks 96
STARTERS
Gibson: 15-11-3 (5-8 FG, 1-2 3PT, 4-4 FT), 29 mins
Randle: 25-10-1 (10-29 FG, 1-1 3PT, 4-4 FT), 34 mins
Harkless: 0-4-2 (0-1 FG), 22 mins
Barrett: 6-2-2 (2-7 FG, 0-1 3PT, 2-4 FT), 24 mins
Payton: 9-2-3 (3-9 FG, 0-1 3PT, 3-4 FT), 22 mins, 1 dunk
BENCH
Robinson: 8-8-0 (4-5 FG), 18 mins, 3 blocks, 4 dunks
Portis: 8-1-3 (4-7 FG), 18 mins, 1 dunk
Knox: 5-3-2 (2-6 FG, 1-4 3PT), 18 mins
Bullock: 2-3-1 (1-3 FG, 0-1 3PT), 19 mins
Ntilikina: 14-2-4 (5-11 FG, 1-1 3PT, 3-4 FT), 19 mins, 4 TO, 1 dunk
Dotson: 0-0-2 (0-0 FG), 8 mins
Ellington: 0-1-1 (0-0 FG), 8 mins
Smith: 4-0-1 (1-4 FG, 2-2 FT), 8 mins
Randle finally got the lions share of touches. Prior to this, Barrett would usually lead in touches.
Portis isn't spacing the floor, but this might be a playbook issue. Knicks frequently have Mitchell Robinson at top of key doing handoffs - should be Portis instead in those actions.
Ntilikina had a floater game, made some good passes, but also had 4 TOs in the flow of the offense, which normally doesn't happen.
