It's probably the worst feeling about this situation. No notes. So we sit here and pull our hair thinking maybe it's just us... Or is it just them. I like to think they did nothing but add what they said. And then just put all my team updates because they don't care about anything else lol

Between the vague update notes and the daily under the hood updates, it is just too much.
Just gets frustrating that you can't play the same game you played yesterday. I paused the latest update, don't know if I will download it.

It never will at least not this year. They removed NBA Finals patches on jerseys since 2K18. And it still hasn’t comeback even when it’s still there irl..sad

Personally, I have felt the game speed change a bit for a while now, seemingly dependent on what time of the day I play.It is almost like when a game is always online and the speed varies depending on server traffic.

Interesting, this is the same strong feeling I got while playing other franchise titles, like Fifa and PES.

What could be to cause of that?

The best fix for this I found so far is to run a DNS benchmark on your network and write down the IP address of the two fastest results (besides the IP of your own router). Then set up your console with a static IP address, and use those results as your Primary and Secondary DNS.

Doing that smoothed out the speed changes for me somewhat, at least to where I can play at different times of the day without feeling like I have to modify my play style to account for the speed changes.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that once you have that all set up, you should also look up what ports the game uses and forward them in your router.

Seriously, whats with all the patches? Its annoying. I'll just turn off the update option and use the game as is now until new season of whatever. Is that what they want to achieve? I seriously doubt it.


Because, up till recently, you had to put the general slider for ON BALL DEFENCE all the way up to 100 to see traces of decent defense applied.

Now it seems that value is just overkill, even with ball handling at 60 its hard to see any attacker passes any defender (at least in cpu vs cpu matches).


And whats with that annoying music during free throws?! What the hell is even that?

Why some users dont have it and some (like me) cannot turn it off?

i never dreamed the music was there for all the shots during all games at all courts! I thought it was just random!

Bruh I stopped playing 2K cause the music just kills the immersion when you’re playing and the crap starts playing

You can disable the PA sounds entirely in the settings. But this means no buzzers, no shot clock sounds. But that'll make it to where you won't hear any music.

You can also disable the PA in the neighborhood to make it so you don't hear music in the Park/Rec

As for 2K, they have some sort of process which runs in background that collects data from the user (noone is sure how much, it has been speculated all the way up individual controller inputs) to "help customize their experience". This is why sometimes people get "special offers" for VC or whatever that only they see.I would not be surprised if other games did this same thing.

My theory is that depending on what or how much this process is doing and the amount of traffic on your IP, it might be bogging down resources and making the game run slower. Kind of like when trying to play an online game when you have a download going.

I tried shutting off PA settings...no buzzers, no shot clock sound, but the “friggin music” is still there at foul line..

Unless I’m doing something wrong...

I play offline too...
