Re: 2K needs to stop asking casual Park players like Agent00 about gameplay
For the sake of argument let's say that 500K of 2Ks player base are hardcore MyLeague players. We pay 10$ for the playable Gleague. That 5 million bucks. I know everything has a cost on the dev side as well but let's say that more than covers the time investment. I'd imagine we'd get more of a voice in shaping things.

I wouldn't pay for any of the PNO online features that are obvious but say .99 cents to play with the 2001 Sixers out of the box instead of unlocking them? SURE, let's do it. 99 cents for one Online Season? (idea I had years ago) YUP. So maybe its just a matter of finding the stuff that has value to the crowd not interested in MyPlayer. These discussions have to take place anyway, because the PS5 titles are probably the last console sports games that will be able to get away with getting full price for a yearly release.Last edited by Kushmir; 08-08-2020, 03:09 PM.NOTE: Any and ALL of my suggestions are specifically and only related to Play Now Online.Comment

I will say that the slower speeds felt pretty good at the start of the game but certain "slow" players felt incredibly fast (i.e. Gheorge Muresan).

Dude has no idea how basketball is played.

I don’t understand why 2K doesn’t just put in an “arcade” setting so that the online Park crowd can have their cheesy glitch-fest and the offline crowd can have a “sim” setting to get realistic gameplay. This way they can upload tuners/patches that are different for both modes so that instead of having to try and find a balance between sim and arcade, they can provide both and tweak them independent of one another.
Hell, call the arcade mode “competitive” so they feel like they’re pros while spamming the same 3 dribble moves to get to the basket.Comment

Whoa! I'm offended, lol. I became mainly a REC player this year, and I feel REC could benefit from more sim elements. Minus some cheese tactics (which can be found in any mode really), REC is no where near as bad as Park. What they need to do is stop asking MYPARK players what the game needs.Last edited by ksuttonjr76; 08-03-2020, 04:39 PM.Comment

You know back in 2k15 playing basketball was really a viable tactics. We were constantly able to beat those 90+ kiddies with 70 rated players by just playing solid basketball. not possible anymore... reason why I completely stopped playing all those myplayer online modes and focus solely on myleague (online).Comment

Re: 2K needs to stop asking casual Park players like Agent00 about gameplay
To me it is hard to believe and accept that it is not possible to create a game with different modes which will cope with the different profiles of users... Hell even 2 separate games if need be, one more focused on park and myplayer (and with a more arcade approach) and another one centered on emulate real NBA basketball...
They already have the technology and expertise to do it... we have been pretty close many times by the way (2k11 for instance)... and the point is that we are still many people who want a realistic approach to the game so, why not try to have both beeing on the same game (different modes/slider sets) or even in two separate products?
I think the content and tech in NBA 2k is good enough for that.. I still want to enjoy Online Myleagues with my friends having a realistic approach as the centerpiece of our experience... but I also want that those with a more arcade mindset can enjoy the game either... is that so difficult?Ignorance is Bliss...Comment

Re: 2K needs to stop asking casual Park players like Agent00 about gameplay
Everything in the park is focused around glitching, every guard needs to have lightning quick release thats faster than Curry, kyrie ball handling and layup package, Zach Lavine dunk packages etc.
Every big man has to be Blake Griffin with Dirk range and Tim Duncan defense.
And then you throw in all these HOF badges lol so now ever player on the court is a God and has no real assigned role.
You’re no longer playing basketball .. and it leaks into the base gameComment
