i like the idea of do you wanna be more skilled player (ala larry bird, kevin love, luka doncic) or physical beat young (lebron, zion or young derrick rose) ? one think forsure stamina better be around 80 - 90 somthing the rest is your style of play..

The whole point of starting your player at 60 OVR is for the online crowd who wants to be immediately competitive. With the storylines based on your player being a phenom heading into the league, I never liked starting at a 60 OvR. I always save up VC until I have enough to get me to 75 OVR, then I start.

That's why I wish they just separated the online portion and offline portion. That way you can keep the restrictions and microtransactions themed gimmicks for online. I rather them flesh out MyCareer and only microtransactions pressure would be for accessories. Some thing I liked in The One(Live) is that Physical Ratings are essentially maxed from the jump. If our weight never fluctuates, I rather physical ratings be at or near max potential from the start.

If it is as simple as just take 20 points off of standing dunk, add 20 points to your speed, etc, then I'll stand corrected and say yes you can make OP guards. But I don't see an allotment of points on this screen showing how many are remaining, which makes me think it's gonna be a "max up to 95 however you want under your caps" type of deal.

Just following this same screen, as ratings are added, overall goes up. So from a 94 overall SG, lowering standing dunk, O reb etc shouldn't change the overall very much, but if you used all those points on perimeter defense and speed the overall would be way over a 95 at that point, correct? How else would you add that many relevant ratings at a 94?

Also, are those 1000 points counting all physicals starting at 25? Because if you look closely, some ratings give you 'some' physicals and then you can add more after that.

You’re going under the assumption that stats might be weighted differently which I’ve acknowledged. But we don’t know that. From everything we’ve seen, you don’t even pick a position - just vitals. If I want to make a 6’7 guard while someone else wants a 6’7 lockdown, who’s to say which stats should be weighted heavier? I might value pass accuracy while he values steal. I would be surprised if there’s any weight difference on non-physicals to be honest unless it’s something where they start weighing more after a certain threshold like 75 or 80. I could possibly see physicals costing more but the only thing that contradicts that is the blurry photo where the guy is capped at 95 with not much in his physicals.

I don’t believe they “give you” physical stats. I believe they have a floor I.E. You need a minimum of 70 vertical to have 90 driving dunk. I would bet that both count towards your overall though.

I watched the video again and when the guy increased speed with ball his overall speed went up. Also driving dunk increased his vertical. So some of those stats with tie in with physicals.

Some people are going to be mad if we do start off as a 40 ovr but I might be one of the few people who wants to start as a 40 Ovr . It takes me back to those 2k11 days in Myplayer.

Every guard will be the same . That’s how I have a feeling once you get over 80 in a rating category.. it will cost more points . Or it will be worst then see playing making shot on current gen . If that possible who won’t have 95 3 ball 95 dunk and speed boost.. this is why a lot of ppl are wrong 2k is not making the game so everyone makes the same build ... it be the same with bigs every big can shoot and dunk and play defense...come on this can’t be true there more to this then just allocated points or this game will die if everyone the same.

I'll tell you this, as long as I can defend, whether they be a demigod or not, that's all that really matters to me. Most folks can't stop me in the post so scoring isn't the issue.

A tough grit Kevin Garnett build will be fun.

I wish more people wanted to be diverse like this.. well i think making a Kevin Garnett will be possible and a nice build. great defense, can post somewhat and a nice midrange, this sound realistic. i just really think will have complete control on where things go. But not everything can be 95 or max.. will see most build some 90 attributes and 80 and 70..

Honestly, I hope this gives me the opportunity to create a Pacers Jermaine O'Neal type player. That's going to be first build instead of a Shaq build where I can just bully everyone in the post. I actually might go with MJ like player for my second build.

My goal is still to create a Drayton Green esque PF . I still prefer playing as a big over a guard. I just hope that bigs don't get shafted by the sacrifices we could have to make.

I like playing as a big, because it's too easy to get frozen out as a perimeter, I like playing with "non-popular" builds, and I can still do "something" to help the team win.

Plus, I don't have the stick skills to be a great ball handler and everytime had a PG, I averaged 4+ TOs lol

I like playing as a big. It is rewarding to play the game the "right way". I only play MyCareer, but I don't like to cheese. I play within the offense and take advantage of opportunities to score. I feel if you play the right way and be efficient as a big, it has a huge impact on winning games. Doing the dirty work translates to winning. Setting screens, getting rebounds, not allowing easy baskets, hustling down the court in transition on both ends, taking high percentage shots, playing good help defense, making that extra pass

i think will be a good build and possible also maybe 90 and 80 defense ratings hi playmaking but knowing u cant be great at everything maybe like 75 layup 75 dunk and still have 75 to 80 3 ball . kind of lean on defense and balance offence as good as u can. this sound solid this is what i love to see Draymond builds, Kevin Garnett, Kevin love but also see Jayson Tatum. Tatum being 88-90 3 ball , 80 dunk decent ball control kind of do it all on offence. And now could make a Kyrie Ervin leave dunk/stand dunk at 25 but go for 90 layup 90 3 ball and playmaking and he's not great on defense. The separating dunk and layup with ratings and badges is nice.
