Re: NBA 2K21 Next-Gen Video From the Developers
Yeah I thought it was unchanged after the 1st watch too. No option for this on current gen was a little frustrating as someone who was really trying to master shot aiming. Glad to see the change in next gen!Comment

This is a good idea. Having different swipes while playing simulates watching a different channel.Comment

Re: NBA 2K21 Next-Gen Video From the Developers
With each generation, 2K continues to make itself home in the uncanny valley. Looks really awesome at first glance, but doesn't feel right once we start paying attention.
I believe adding some ambient occlusion to the fans/bench is a great place to start. The lighting is very flat.Comment

As for the game it looks good but I personally think most of the graphic upgrades are noticed in player faces. I need to see it on my screen but the shorts and player models look a lot like last gen. Hopefully gameplay is good. Impossible to tell in that clip. I’m gonna love the death of loading times.Last edited by rudyjuly2; 10-27-2020, 04:32 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K21 Next-Gen Video From the Developers
Yeah, I decided to take a weekend and try to pound out the damage. Watching the locals being proud to drive their rusty and battered trucks made me rethink my decision. My ride still looks good on the driver's side [emoji16]. Now, that back passenger side...well...it isn't pretty, lol.Last edited by ksuttonjr76; 10-27-2020, 04:20 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K21 Next-Gen Video From the Developers
Hopefully, one day 2K will see that both hard-core AND casual fans appreciated 2K16's movement/footplanting. Yes, the game was slower....but the game was BALANCED. That was the appeal.
There is potential with the new movement system, but right now the balance is off on the defensive side. I cant really judge by this video, but that's what will be most important...the guts of the game.
The gameplay was cool, I definitely see improvements, which I'll get to, but-
Jrue getting chained to that screen in that fashion is worrying. The movement blog suggested a lot of that was rectified.
While I really, really appreciate all the lower bowl activity...2K has to know we've been clamoring for realistic crowd reactions for a while now. I'll take that over a detailed janitor sweeping 10/10. Its time to step up in that area fellas. Cant give us the "most realistic arena ever" line and not give us crowd reactions.
That line stood out to me too. I'm guessing the answer is probably yes?NFL: Bills
NBA: Bucks
MLB: Cubs
NCAA: Syracuse
Soccer: USMNT/DC United

These "expectations" are funny...
And dont give me that " well 2k14.." when that game while visually "cool" was bare bones as hell...and this was when everything was "normal"
I'm actually fascinated with what they have put out in a short amount of time with limited resources
IF it looks Dope, plays good, and offers way more than what 2k14 did as next gen title color me impressed especially during a PANDEMIC
We are spoiled ....

I am just disappointed in the crowd atmosphere. If I had one thing to really be improved on for next gen it would’ve been that. I just knew that would be a main focus for next gen. Hopefully, very soon.

Re: NBA 2K21 Next-Gen Gameplay Video with the Developers - New Game Modes & Features
That's been an area I've been hoping to see improved for awhile now. They took some baby steps this generation but still a lot of room for improvement. It's one of the areas I think NBA Live got right. Not perfect but definitely better than 2k. Heck Live 10 might have better crowd atmosphere than any 2k game.Comment
