I have a diploma in Computer Engineering, granted I never pursued coding as a career, and I have to disagree with most of you. Finding issues like why no stats display in a Rec game and some of these other minor presentation issues would not be extraordinarily difficult or time consuming. These coders have much more advanced troubleshooting tools than what a high schooler would have or even I would in post secondary. On top of that, they have oodles of experience to fall back on. It’s possible 2K has a long list of problems to fix and some of these things are low on the priority list but I think you’re letting them off the hook to think they don’t have, or couldn’t acquire, the resources to correct these things.

Did I say it was hard? I said I hated it, and it's not easy...big difference. Some stuff is just a pain in the *** to address.Comment

Re: There's so many issues that are simple fixes yet they are ignored... for years
Tbh idk why some of ya'll are allergic and seem so 'offended' by complaint threads. Complaint threads are how 2K hears how they're doing from the community. Complaint threads are how a better product gets made. Especially if it's on OS, who are typically more sim than people on twitter. Complacency and the 'wrong' feedback is how you get an arcade game like we have now.
Because a lot of times “complaint” threads devolve into overly-angry rants and personal attacks for no reason. On top of that, many complaints are just vague and non-constructive, as if they’re not looking for a solution or to give honest feedback but instead just to vent.Comment

Is there ANY way to fix the CPU pick and roll D?
I have tried everyone's sliders...tried HOF...tried it all...
And no matter what I do, I can call for a pick... using Ben Simmons... and just run around the pick and dunk EVERY time.
The CPU pick and roll D is atrociously bad.Comment

Some guys are really unguardable in the PNR, Simmons being one of them.Comment

Guys like Simmons, Lebron, Giannis, etc. (basically all athletic forwards over 6'6") are all too fast in-game due to a glitch with the Speed w/ Ball rating for taller players. For whatever reason, an athletic forward with like 82 Speed w/ Ball rating is faster than a shorter player with 99 Speed w/ Ball. So you can go in and decrease these players' SWB rating individually or just mass-edit the entire roster SWB rating down, then increase the Speed with Ball (Min) slider by the same amount (for whatever reason, the Min slider works whereas the Max slider has no effect). On top of these players being too fast, bigs are WAY too slow and therefore they're complete non-factors as they can't get into position on defense. Easy fix though, just increase the Speed/Acceleration without Ball (Min) sliders to around 55 and slow players will move realistically instead of in slow-motion. Final tweak here would be to increase the CPU Lateral Quickness so that you can't just run around or blow past them with ease 100% of the time.
I'd also recommend increasing Driving Contact Shot Frequency as well as the Layup Defense Strength (Gather), Help Defense Strength, and Contest Shots sliders so that the defense is better at defending layups/dunks and is more likely to trigger a contact animation, but some players (typically the same players who have the SWB glitch) are far too good at dunking in traffic as well. Dunk In Traffic Frequency has seemingly 0 effect on this, but lowering the Dunking Ability slider will decrease the frequency of these OP dunks.
So yea, as you can see there are a series of gameplay issues all coinciding to create this problem, and all requiring their own band-aid fixes to even start to alleviate the issue. But even with these fixes in place, the PNR hedge defender logic really can't be helped. Sometimes the defender will play smart defense, and sometimes he'll ignore that the PNR is even happening as if he's never played or even watched a game of basketball before.Comment

Good to hear Da Czar is onto it. You are right, some players and teams you cannot use if you want any competition v the cpu. Simmons, Giannis, LeBron...you can literally call for a pick, run around it and dunk almost every time even maxxed D sliders on Hall Of Fame.Comment

The main "solution" is to go into the coach sliders and set Help Defense to 100, which will make the D rotate to protect the basket.

Yeah, I tried all your sliders and they definitely help a lot...not ideal, but def makes it more playable. Unfortunately, even with those edits (as you said) most times you can still score at will with Simmons, LeBron, Giannis...the Hedge AI, as you know, is a mess (praying for a fix!).Comment

Glad I could help! As long as they fix the rotations and hedge defender decision making with this next patch, we’re in business [emoji1305]

Yea, unfortunately you can only improve the defense to a certain extent, but there’s nothing that can “fix” it until they make the AI, well, intelligent.Comment
