Don't like it, don't play it. There are plenty of other modes you can play. They have other gamers they need to cater to besides us.

Would be nice if they allowed separate game file installs so we don't have to install the modes we don't play, like some other games do. But I imagine with everything in NBA being so connected, that wouldn't be possible.

NBA 2k posted a blog, THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO READ, regarding The W features and you feel this is "shoved down your throat" or is it that you just dont want anyone talking about the WNBA. It seems like the latter.

Saying "you are wrong with the world" might not be the best response to having an open dialogue. I'd say it's a fair question in regards to 2k putting such an emphasis on the WNBA inside of a video game marketed as being an NBA game. In line with the question, I would genuinely be curious to see how many users play the WNBA mode.
With a limited amount of resources (both time and money) available towards the improvement of a game released annually, I think the question merits an answer.

Seems like they're brining a good chunk of pre-Neighborhood MyCareer ideas into the W.

Figure most of it won't work it's way into this year's MyCareer, but I'm crossing my fingers. I kind of miss those optional workouts and the team facility and the impromptu games/workout sessions at your MyCourt with contacts you got in the game.

At the very least, seems like we're getting the ability to save badge loadouts?

Also looks like Hyperdrive, Quick Chain, Triple Threat Juke (as someone who used triple threat/jabs a lot more this year, I'm intrigued), and Glue Hands are new playmaking badges.

The WNBA is a part of the NBA; it's like the Gleague in a way. It's all under the NBA umbrella. It's why a solo WNBA game makes no sense. On the gaming front, 2K has the NBA fan market on lock. We're not not going to buy the game and they know it. In addition to marketing the WNBA, which the NBA wants, they could also squeeze out some new sales to a new demographic. There's growth potential there. It's like that 2K league thing. I couldn't care any less about it but 2K or the NBA sees something there. I'll probably dabble with the WNBA before not touching it again. If nothing else it's a value add.

Obviously catering to the huge WNBA market. Very smart move by 2K to dedicate resources to that over other modes that need more attention...

There is nothing "white knight feminists" about understanding why 2K has included the WNBA into the series and why they are promoting the changes to the mode, which they do for pretty much every mode in the game. WNBA can open a new fanbase and potential customers to the series and it does 2K no good if they don't continue add and improve to the mode.

I don't see how having a blog about it is "shoving it down our throats." The first blog was about "Seasons." Was that also being shoved down our throats? We are getting blogs for My Career, My NBA, The City, and My Team. So I guess all those modes are also being shoved down our throats because 2K is dedicating time to talk about how those modes have been changed and improved.

I don't understand why some people seem to have issues when modes they don't care about get attention. I'm mostly an offline player but I understand there are other modes in the game that other players are interested in. I simply focus on the stuff I care about an ignore everything else. It's that easy.

Once some of you Mature and have a daughter who plays Basketball or any other sport, you Will see the importance of Promoting Professional Sports Leagues for women. Until then keep being fools.

I feel 2k did a solid job with the WNBA on court experience, it's a nice change of pace when I play it in MyWNBA compared to when I play MyNBA. I actually hope they add more of the myNBA options and features to MYWNBA this year.
