i'm pulling for you.. my bet is by monday/tuesday, you'll get an update with a return tracking number from kentucky. and with really good luck, xbox back by the end of the week.

either way.. i'm pulling for you on 9 days or less. i shipped mine on a saturday. got it back on a monday (crossing 2 sundays). hopefully your thursday ship day allows you to only have to cross 1 sunday.

Yeah I'm looking to potentially send mine back tomorrow (Friday) with fingers crossed that I can get it back from KY before week's end with the turnaround. I was gonna give it one more patch (today's) and then just send it back because at a certain point, I need to just stop waiting for patches and do something myself that may actually change my chances of issues.

I'll ask though, does it consider what you're doing a "same unit repair" despite it obviously being a replacement? Or am I not seeing a replacement option

Ok so I think I found a fix. Go to your nba 2k22 then hit the start button and select “mangar game and add-one” scroll down to saved data and delete all of it. Then boot up 2k and it’s going to say “saved data is corrupted” hit A to override and once you do that my game no longer freezes or shuts off my console. Let me know if this works for anyone else.

I did that a few days ago and it didn't fix it. 😔

Same as everyone else has said... this isn't a fix. The issue with the corrupted files has been going on since 2k21. When you delete and reinstall the game, it does the same thing as far as asking you to override the corrupted data and still shuts the xbox off.

My xbox change should be here tomorrow so I'm going to look at the manufacture date and keep the thread up to date as far as turn offs. I've had turn offs since the beginning of 2k21, sent it in twice before (both repairs) and finally they are sending an exchange.

What options did you choose in the issues type to get a replacement?

I just want to say that I appreciate everyone's maturity and attempts to be helpful at trying to resolve the issue on our own. Based on everyone's experience with the replacement process, I'm going to go ahead and bite the bullet and send mine in. I must have gotten lucky with NBA 2K21 when the issue resolved itself last year. I could have sworn they released a specific patch to address the issue, but I guess I'm wrong.

I know one thing for sure. This group of people was way more calmer about the situation than the crowd that was crying about the damn broadcast camera in the MyNBA mode. Yep, I took an unnecessary pot shot at them [emoji16].

Yeah I paid for expedited and sent mine off with UPS today. The estimate is arriving in El Paso on Tuesday hopefully, and it seems like they send out the replacement that day or after with 2 day shipping as well, so fingers crossed if it leaves Kentucky on Wednesday it will get to me in PA by Friday as well.

This last patch was my final straw, especially when it seems like their patch process is on a weekly schedule, I figured I could live with missing out on some games wednesday/thursday if they solve it next week by some miracle in exchange for the peace of mind knowing my Xbox won't be the cause of the issues.

Part of what made me want to do it as well was that my friend who was also crashing under the same circumstances (but just to the dashboard, not Xbox shutting off) stopped having that issue after the most recent patch. I figure if I'm still having issues past that, I may as well take the week off and get the exchange done and know it's not on my end for sure.

Are you doing it through the MS account? Can you say what options you choose under "device" - "issue type" and if you gotta describe the issue? I can't find an option that comes close to our issue.

First off, you will want to talk to someone over the phone. They are aware of the issue. The second thing is selecting the console won’t turn on. You will want to talk to someone (request a callback) and demand an exchange.

The exchange will come from KY. You will send your box from Texas.

Was it a repair or an exchange? Manufacturer date?

No absolutely do not do this over the phone. Handle it yourself.. Go to Microsoft website and login to the account you use to login to your Xbox. Go to devices. Make sure you Series X is registered there. If it's not then just add it using the serial number. After that click support then "start order". That's how you file a warranty claim... not through some faceless person in a call center.
