Re: How's your MyNBA Going - 2K22 Edition
I've seen 3 ingame inuries so far: 2 for me and one for the CPU. Kemba even got injured twice in the same game: First the ankle, then he hurt his knee coming of the drive. The announcers even talked about how he already was injured.
I really love the MyNBA gameplay this year, with slight adjustments. You really need 30 team control again this year:
- CPU rotations are awful. They still take out all 5 players at the same time, as long as you keep a starter out there you can easily kill bench units all night long. You really have to set up advanced rotations for every time or at least download one from others.
So just for you guys: If you use a advanced rotation just load it up under your team name. You really help other guys with that
- 2nd thing are the tendencies. Especially for stars it's really helpful to sit down and go through all the tendencies and adjust them to their real life playstyle. Now every game really feels different.
I'm in the middle of december now in my Knicks save and really enjoy the team. Randle is getting Triple Doubles regularly, Barrett is becoming a real go-to scorer and guys like Quickley and D-Rose are just fun coming of the bench.
We're in the middle of the Eastern Conference on the 5th seed, close to homecourt-advantage. I still can't really figure out what route to take this year: Try to fix my weakspot at the 2 this year or be patient and try to improve the team in the offseason. Sexton is a guy I am really looking at, who doesn't seem happy in Cleveland but I don't think he would take me over the edge. And for bigger options I would have to give up so much that this could really hurt the team. Tough decisions everywhere!Comment

I am only 1 game into my Orlando Magic franchise, but I am already facing tough decisions.
In years past, I knew how I wanted to build. Vuc, Gordon, Isaac, Fournier, and Fultz were a starting 5 that I was happy with for a year, especially with a bench with Terrence Ross, Mo Bamba, and in this past year, Cole Anthony and Chuma Okeke. Fournier was fine for a year, but not who I want to commit to long term. I'd roll with the roster for a year, trade some of my depth and bad contracts for picks and salary cap relief, let Fournier walk, and then use my cap space to replace him at the 2 which my preferred long term commitment.
This year, the Magic roster has had so much turnover, I'm not 100% sure what I want to build around. I love my core of guards with Fultz, Suggs, and Anthony, but I'm overloaded at PG. I'll have to start playing some of them slightly out of position at the 2... but none of them really have the skill set I want from my 2. I prefer Isaac to play the 3, but I don't have any PF's on the roster with the skillset I like. I could develop Franz Wagner, but I'm not sure I want to commit to him as a starter. And I like Mo Bamba's skill set to be my starting C... but his salary jumps to $22 million in year 2, so I'm not sure I want to keep him.
So I'm here with an entire roster in limbo. Of the 5 players that I have that I want to build around, 3 play the same position and don't have the skillset I want to play another position, 1 is going to command a huge increase in salary, and the other one is currently playing out of position. So I have a lot of decisions to make about the roster this year and how I want to build them and what direction I want to go.
It's gonna be an interesting franchise this year.Last edited by Levistick; 09-22-2021, 02:11 PM.Current Franchise: NBA2K22 | Orlando Magic (1-2)

Re: How's your MyNBA Going - 2K22 Edition
I did something different this year and am trying to find the right balance of shorter games, 6/7 minute quarters, and averaging out sim stats. I was HOOKED on my OKC rebuild for a few days. Ended up signing Serge Ibaka and then Sacramento offers me a trade for Buddy Hield! It’s been an absolute blast and a challenge too. I beat up on the Lakers as they just weren’t able to score. Then the Warriors absolutely curb stomped me as I just couldn’t guard them well enough. Most enjoyable experience I’ve had since 2K17.
Still hoping for continued improvement in Coach Settings adjustments and off ball logic. It’s not quite where it needs to be, but is well enough that it’s not an unplayable headache like it was last year.Comment

Yes I'm on ps4. So MyNBA is basically MyLeague then. Just wanted to make sure I was posting updating my soon to begin Hawks franchise in the correct thread. Thanks!

Ive seen ur thread on settings for sim stats, sounds like you’ve been getting some great numbers… I would think ur settings would still produce those great stats on PS5?

Re: How's your MyNBA Going - 2K22 Edition
Starting an Atlanta Hawks franchise. I want to try and play every game. I do have a plan however. Always play the 1st quarter to get into the flow of the game immediately. Simcast 2nd quarter. Play the 3rd. And depending on game flow, score, etc I'll play the 4th or at least first half of it. And of course play any and all OTs.
Game one at home vs the Mavericks! I have edited rotation timelines for Hawks and Mavs headed into the game. Plan to just do each team as I play them.
A big change for me is turning injuries off. I did this for two reasons:
1. Too many to deal with imo, and lack of no injuries in played games makes it unfair.
2. Once I set their rotations I can trust that sticks all season. This way every couple months I can adjust if a bench player is outperforming a starter. Or adjust based on production period. No worry about injuries and screwing it all up constantly.

Anyone get load management to work? I've tried low and high. The player will still play all 82 games with high minutes. Also anyone with a workaround to edit draft class tendencies globally since the button gone to change categories. Xbox seriesComment
