How do you edit rotation timelines? Seems difficult to me.

Oct. 22 - "Hard Fought Battle Comes Up Short In Magic Home Opener"

After an abysmal shooting performance in the season opener (14%), the Orlando Magic immediately went out and made a move to acquire Buddy Hield from the Sacramento Kings. The Magic sent Gary Harris and a 2nd round pick to Sacramento to seal Hield's services.

He made his presence known immediately, hitting his first shot attempt in a Magic uniform, a 1st quarter 3 pointer. Hield would go on to hit 2 more 3 pointers on the night, but despite his contributions, Orlando's 3 point percentage dropped even further from opening night, sliding down to 13% on the night.

Orlando fell down early to the visiting Knicks, giving up a double digit lead in the first quarter. By the 2nd quarter, the lead had neared 20.

The heavy lifting on the night came from Orlando's small guys, their 3 man back court of Markelle Fultz, Jalen Suggs, and Cole Anthony. The back court trio would combine for 66 of Orlando's 90 points, with Markelle Fultz leading the way with 28, and Cole Anthony following behind with 22. Jalen Suggs added 16 of his own. The young guards were the highlight of the night, getting free off the pick and roll and getting to the basket seemingly at will. Led by the 3 young guards, Orlando fought back, narrowing the deficit to just 1 late in the 3rd quarter, but were unable to capitalize and in the 4th quarter, the deficit ballooned to 17. The final difference of 11 points is the closest the Magic would get the score yet again.

Orlando is struggling in the early goings to find any sort of outside game. The only other Magic player to hit a 3 pointer was Terrence Ross, who was 1-8 on the night from behind the arc. His is 1-14 through the first 2 games.

Next up, Orlando travels to New York for a rematch against the Knicks.

Re: How's your MyNBA Going - 2K22 Edition

I usually do a fantasy draft to start off, and this year I chose the Grizzlies as my team. I ended up with the 1st overall pick and went with the cover boy. I decided to build a (overall) young but playoff ready team. Here's what my lineup looks like:

PG - Luka Doncic, Ricky Rubio, Jordan McLaughlin

SG - Gary Trent Jr., Damion Lee, E'Twaun Moore

SF - De'Andre Hunter, Terance Mann

PF - Bojan Bogdanovic, P.J. Tucker, Chuma Okeke

C - Mitchell Robinson, Dario Saric, Kevon Looney

My plan is to develop Hunter into an elite two-way wing and an all-star so that he can become a legitimate 2nd option to Luka. I also want to develop Okeke to become a Nic Batum type of player (i.e. an all-around point-forward) and eventually become the starting 4.

As far as my other young players, I envision Mitch becoming a better Clint Capela - a mobile, switchable defensive anchor and an elite lob threat on offense (with a little bit of a post game). GTJ will be a solid 3&D guard for us for the foreseeable future and Mann will be a great hustle/energy guy who will consistently rebound and defend.

Overall, I think this is one of the most exciting teams that I've drafted on 2K, and I can't wait to start playing some games with them.

          New York Knicks

Game footage is on YouTube @newbreeduniverse and Facebook @FoulMouthDad

          Season Opener

Celtics smoked us in the first half. Jaylen Brown (17pts), and Tatum (25pts) were taking turns lighting the fire for the Celtics. Meanwhile the Knicks seemed completely oblivious to the fact they were starting the season tonight. Turned the ball over 22 times, and did not connect on a single three-point attempt (0-13).

The lone bright spot in this contest was Mitchell Robinson returning from injury to swat six Celtics attempts.

Next is Back to Back with Orlando Magic.

          Top Performers
          Julius Randle 15pts, 7reb, 4ast

Re: How's your MyNBA Going - 2K22 Edition

I was so naive to put the game to Hall of Fame difficulty after a good run of games. First game after that I got killed my the Mavs shooting 80% from 3 and beating me by 20 points.

I'm at the half way mark with my Knicks and my league is on path to a ridiculous season.

              Playoff Picture East

              1. Sixers 32-8
              2. Celtics 28-14
              3. Nets 27-14
              4. Bucks 27-16
              5. Knicks 25-17
              6. Heat 24-18
              7. Hawks 23-18
              8. Raptors 22-19
              9. Bulls 20-20
              10. Pacers 18-24

Biggest suprise, besides the suddenly working Ben Simmons Sixers, are the Celtics. Tatum played like a MVP everytime we faced each other, but it looks like he is giving other teams the same treatment. The bad news is that he got hurt the last game and will miss about 2 months of playtime. I really think about a trade for them, maybe Beal oder Sabonis would make sense for them. When Tatum is back this team could really contend and after all those mediocre years maybe it's time to go All-in.

For my Knicks: I still have my eye on Sexton, but I think I will wait to the deadline. If he still wants to leave Cleveland by that, I will try to put a package together. Don't know what it would take realistically though. In real-life the rumour was Kevin Knox and 2 first. Since Knox is barely a NBA rotation piece I think maybe Obin or Quickley and a first could be enough. I would miss both guys, but the hole in production from Fournier is really showing.
Burks is already gone and got replaced by Cedi Osman who plays great D, makes his open 3s and shows something as a secondary playmaker. That's all I can ask for.

              Playoff Picture West

              1. Warriors 28-13
              2. Lakers 27-14
              3. Jazz 24-17
              4. Suns 24-17
              5. Pelicans 24-18
              6. Blazers 23-17
              7. Nuggets 23-18
              8. Mavs 23-18
              9. Clippers 23-19
              10. Grizzlies 21-22

The Warriors are getting carried by a potential MVP season from Curry leading the leage with 32PPG with 5 board and 5 assists and shooting splits that are out of this world.
Their rookies don't really play a role in the rotation, so maybe they could package them and get a piece to go for another championship run this season. The return of Klay really helped them, but I doubt this will be enough.
The Suns should look to maximise the CP3 window and also look like a interesting trade candidate.

Zion and Lillard are winning some games this year, but with how close the West is they could become unhappy quickly. So the Pelicans and Blazers should also look to keep winning games and making deals to get to that point. I feel like in a situation like this, the trade deadline could get really wild and I really loke forward to that.

Oct. 24 - "Magic Pick Up First Victory; Down Knicks In Blowout"

The Orlando Magic finally picked up their first victory of the season, stepping into New York and downing the New York Knicks in what would be a 93-66 blowout. While Orlando continued their shooting woes - shooting just 3-21 from beyond the arc (all 3 makes were from Buddy Hield), the 3 man backcourt of Fultz, Anthony, and Suggs ran circles around the Knicks defense. Cole Anthony led the way for Orlando with 16 points, while Markelle Fultz added 15. Jalen Suggs and R.J. Hampton both added 14, and Mo Bamba had his best game of the early year adding 13 points and 14 rebounds. Isaac and Bamba solidified the interior defense and locked up the Knicks offense.

Next up, the Magic return home to host the Heat.

has anybody else noticed in MyNBA the halftime show is quite varied? (PS5)

i’ve seen rookie of the year race, 3 pt and dunk contest race, standings, power rankings, injuries, trades and scores around the league..

and i think the highlights are more contextual

Simcast 2nd quarter. Play the 3rd. And depending on game flow, score, etc I'll play the 4th or at least first half of it. And of course play any and all OTs.

Game one at home vs the Mavericks! I have edited rotation timelines for Hawks and Mavs headed into the game. Plan to just do each team as I play them.

A big change for me is turning injuries off. I did this for two reasons:

                      1. Too many to deal with imo, and lack of no injuries in played games makes it unfair.

                      2. Once I set their rotations I can trust that sticks all season. This way every couple months I can adjust if a bench player is outperforming a starter. Or adjust based on production period. No worry about injuries and screwing it all up constantly.

What I've been doing is turning autosave off(I do this anyway) and sim the next game and if there's an injury I don't save and back out. I reload my franchise and manually put the injury in then play the game. I have to have injuries.

Man I hope the devs don't treat this like 21 with the lack of block defense situation and don't acknowledge the bugs until next year that's why they been so quiet about MyNBA after Launch

If we don't hear anything about patches concerning MyNBA by the NBA Tip-off we probably have to wait until 23 unfortunately but I'm still trying to figure out what bugs in 21 the Dev claimed have fixed 🤦😒

Someone said under basket shot tendencies might glitch for every player after you run a season. Worth looking into.

Also part of the “fun” of dealing with injuries is seeing it happen in the game. Has anyone turned sliders up to see if it has an effect? Was hoping 22 fixed that issue. Especially considering today’s NBA injuries occur like a glass road shatters.

Question as I usually do Retro MyNba franchises

If I do a current one and select 2k roster - will that be a 'living' roster? In other words will missing free agents get added and missing players get added to teams or is it best to wait until a week or 2 after the season starts and begin at that time?

I wish they would go back to the way the roster updates were on ps3. Where you could pick which one you wanted from a list instead of just the current one.
