Thinking of future 2k's and I'm hoping that this makes its way in. In my opinion, it's one of three of the most logical next steps they need to take.

The first is, year-to-year saves. I mean, assuming that the gameplay is as good as it sounds and MyNBA doesn't have any major bugs, then I could a lot of guys not having to buy another 2k for a long, long time. If that's the case, and 2k wants to make news sales each year, then they have to come up with a way to add Y2Y saves. That way you can continue your MyNBA with the latest and greatest gameplay, MyNBA improvements, rookies, etc. If not, and you're happy with your current MyNBA, then why buy the new game?

The second is improvements in CAP as well as either a way to add players aging or a way to easily change player models without using the DNA feature (which iirc causes a player to lose their stats). This just makes too much sense since we will be going through so many seasons then it just doesn't look right to see players stay the same.

The third is year-to-year draft classes. This one may be the toughest but if they can get Y2Y saves and a new and improved CAP (that they plan on using for the next couple of iterations) then hopefully Y2Y Draft Classes could become a thing. That would save creators a ton of time each year and if Y2Y saves are already in and the ratings, tendencies, etc. stay the same then I'm hoping that this isn't out of the realm of possibility.

There is most likely a corporate reason why they cant.. If they give in to those two players, then it could be a situation where they lose their Jordan deal, or other players then start puling out and reworking their contracts. We really dont know the ins and outs of it butwe gotta do what we can control.

And what we can control? Is the Create A Players!!

This is incredible and game changing. It's also depressing because we are probably never going to get it in the game. At the very least just include 2 or 3 main different player models for the superstar players who obviously changed appearance throughout their careers. For example 19 year old LeBron doesn't resemble 37 year old LeBron.

Agreed that this would be a great next step having year to year saves. It would save so much time for creators each year as well by just having to upload the player dna 1 by 1 for a whole roster that keeps them from having to redo tendencies, accessories, and sigs of every single player every year (ala the show in the past). Just port it over. That’s all so time consuming. I also agree on the draft classes too not having to be recreated every year. It would be a gamechanger that also keeps the community from having to wait 3-6 months for roster creators to edit & release their rosters. I’d also like to see cross console shares between rosters, caps, play, etc… I’d also like to be able to share playbooks. Create a playbook and just upload to a team rather than having to add plays 1 by 1 for each team.

But like what you said if that’s not in it’s why I see 23 being a game I play for a few years just because of the classics and not having to redo all the draft classes and years after the community gets to all the years this year.

All of that would just simplify everything and make life so much easier for creators and benefit the whole community.

I'm personally hoping for improvements to the create a player system to coincide with this new NBA mode. Hopefully they take a page from the WWE 2k series, because if they had a similar system to use images you can download and textures including tattoos then the community could essentially create new player models comparable to the in game player models, which is what we need to fill out the rosters.

2k might finally get Barkley in the future
Charles Barkley has always been a crusader for retired players and very recently, his efforts bore fruit and now, ABA players will get paid!

Barkley on the future cover with his Sixers, Suns and maybe even Rockets teams in the game would be EPIC.

If true, this deserves it's own thread! Imagine him, Reggie, Rasheed and all the other missing players and teams. I'll support them yearly for this with preorders. This will literally change sports gaming. Only if they can change creations to the wwe formula for people and shoes they would be in a league of their own!

This was being spoken about in another thread, but that deal between the NBA, NBPA and the former ABA players likely won't effect anything.

Those guys (Miller, Barkley, Wallace, etc.) likely just want too much than what 2K is offering. I've never heard Miller or Rasheed Wallace say specifically why they won't appear and it likely has little to do with past players (not getting paid).

Clearly an article that jumped the gun since Barkley wants more than just former players being paid. And Miller has nothing to do w/ Barkley. Also **** Reggie, glorified 3pt shooter, as long as we get Barkley at some point.
