Yea wish they fixed it instead, but if the choice was between keeping the cheesy system and sidelining it this year, they made the right decision. To increase coach's trust you're going to just have to actually listen to them.

HOWEVER, part of the feature as implemented is indeed broken. Last I played you couldn't check the off-season tasks. So the staff aren't able to tell you who they want you to target in the draft. Not sure if it's been fixed (guessing not).

But most tasks coming from coaches are more long term. I think the earliest completion dates are end of the trade deadline. So going half a season at minimum without being able to make subs or set rotations.

If they wanted to sideline it until they improve it for next year cool, but they should've adjusted the things that touch it for this year. Sponsors are effectively removed from the mode, yet there are still GM skills to unlock additional sponsor slots. If EA did something like this with Madden we would tear into them hard.

Good point on the offseason tasks. The way it is now my head coach acts like my girlfriend.

Coach: Its fine draft who you want to draft
Me: *drafts who I want to draft*
Game: you lose 15 trust for not drafting who your coach wanted you to draft

also doesn’t help that point of emphasis is also removed with this feature being broken. if they were going to remove conversations, they should have fixed everything tied to it.

I need them to add back the ability for us to train specific attribute ratings. The team system training doesn’t cut it for me. I didn’t realize that they took it out last year. Without any real guidance from 2K, some of us have mastered training for systems and now have that stripped away. Smh

Honestly, I have no idea why they removed these detailed features. It worked well, and I never heard anyone every complain about them. I'm all for making it more challenging, but to completely remove them is ridiculous.

Is there any documentation on how the new system works even? I find it incredibly opaque. Exactly what attributes is "two way" player improving, and which is it regressing? How does it differ, exactly, from "all around". Etc etc.

The old system was probably too easy to game (eg making post moves, blocks and orebs dump stats on 95% of guards to free up tons of training points for the good stuff). And it was maybe too time consuming/arcane. But I do miss it.

I didn’t see anything this cycle or last cycle but questions like those may have answers in other threads because we’ve always had the ability to train specific players based on desired individual archetypes.

I’m just not 100% convinced that the Devs running the team training stuff know exactly which tendencies and attributes impact system efficiency ratings.

For example: does having my team train on “Team System” impact each player on the roster the same? Do they know how much a rating like defensive consistency matters to each player but things like post up tendency impact Bigs more than Guards? Does setting training “Team System” have an impact on player tendencies?

I don’t know why they took away the ability to choose who the sim engine would prioritize who you wanted to score the 1st, 2nd and 3rd most. I use an all time superleague roster and control all teams and the way it is now, each team has multiple players who are averaging 15-20 PPG cause each team has multiple high level scorers. I play every game as my Bulls and Jordan is averaging 34 PPG. But the next best scorer is 27ppg then 25 after that. So it’s imbalanced. I prefer when I can pick a few guys from each team to give MJ PPG stat competition. APG on the other hand is insane by good PG’s in my league.

I guess I can adjust touch and shooting tendencies but that’s annoying and I don’t want to mess with how players should play when I’m actually playing them. In 2K22 I could at least choose who I want to be the primary scorer.

Yea it's actually necessary to adjust Touch and Shot Tendency. There's no way around it.
I've been saying this for years but Touches makes no sense as a player specific tendency. How many touches you get is the direct result of the coach's gameplan and team strategy. It should be next Player Rotations.
Something like how you adjust rotation should be how you balance touches.

Is there a page where it shows the number of Action Points you currently have? I know it shows the number of Action Points you get each day at the bottom left of the screen, but I can't my total current number. Has anyone seen it?

No player priority, and animations changing in the offseason??


As gut punching as priority removal is, the animation change is game breaking for me. Please say it isn't so, major testing required before I start any projects.

Sigh what a bummer, hope it's manageable.

Hello everyone, I am in an online league with some friends. The league manager, I do not believe is using trade override but he is able to build these crazy super teams. I notice he just trades and trades and acquires players like LeBron for example, then he will trade LeBron and keep trading until he somehow has Lebron and Giannis. Anyone have a clue how exactly he is able to do this. While still getting draft picks and young talent. I have tried to mimic this using the trade finder and I can land some 4 star players but not at the rate of this guy.

Go into transaction history and take a peek at his trades. My immediate suspicion is shenanigans are at play, but I'm not familiar with 2k's online leagues
