It's not unplayable. Just turn that feature off and use contacts like normal. That's all I've been doing and it's great.

For those MyGM types, it is unplayable. For me, who's a MyLeague guy, I haven't seen nothing gamebreaking. Just some annoying bugs like the upload draft class issue.

Am i missing something or are contract extensions not implemented at all? Not only does the CPU never extend any players but on User controll all i ever get is "none" (in addition to those not eligible) and can't engage in negotiations.

There's some bugs with the trust feature I think that should be looked at though. Currently you can't play properly with trust on. For example off-season tasks that pop up can't be viewed. So I can't see who my Governor and Coach want me to draft for them. I can't see if there is a request to build a big 3 in the off-season. This means that if trust is low the opportunities to build it back up are limited.

You can see the tasks in off-season during the draft.

Once the draft begins, pause the draft. Then go to Scouting - Active Tasks

There are significant bugs with the trust feature. It absolutely needs to be fixed.

But none of that makes the mode unplayable. I don't know about Mike Lowe but for me personally the endless hyperbole gets tiring.

How do you take control and relocate other teams or change their floors? For example if I'm the Bulls but I want to change the Suns floor after 1992 season how would I do that?

Start of the 1992-93 season, go to Settings and then Team Selection and control all or the team you want...then on the left stick, toggle to control the suns.. once that happens, go to download 2k designs and once that happens search "Suns" and it will give you all the options with floor and jerseys.. there I believe are two users that have the designs for America West Arena. Hit preview and then have em upload when you ready to select the one you want. Wallah

They do not. I've run into some issues updating the DNA of guys with younger and older models in the game, as well. It changes their age, years pro and can mess with their career stats on their player cards. Hoping that's a feature they can bring in for 2k24.

So if you’re in Jordan Era MyNBA and you trade for Rodman, he won’t have his dyed hair as time passes… you would have to import his NBA from a classic team then?

It would depend on what version of Rodman is in the draft class you download. The Rodman in mine has the colored hair, but he was a 40 year old looking rookie lol. I think that was the standard 2K class, but can't recall now.

But to better answer the question, yes. If you draft the younger Piston's version in the game, you would have to download his older model from classic roster to get the hair dye. Just make sure you remember his age and years pro in your actual universe, or he'll be 3-4 years older just from updating the appearance. I don't know what is causing that, because the birthdate shouldn't change.

Some guys just have their different versions already built in, and you can just change them in the appearance screen. I believe Ewing is like that, maybe Kareem and Moses Malone. Jordan unfortunately isn't like that, and I don't believe Rodman was either.

Maybe of interest to some, if not known already: I found a potential workaround to the issue of not being able to resign players on Rookie contracts. Not 100% true to life and not yet tested if the CPU also uses it.

What you do is edit a player in his 4th year. Change contract to 2-way contract instead of core (at the very bottom of contract menu) --> save --> change contract back to "core" (original length 4 years, salary back to what it was) ---> save. There isn't the "players on Rookie scale contracts ..." message anymore, instead it showed "refuse to resign" for Franz Wagner. After test-simming simming into January this changed to "will resign" and i could negotiate.

Edit: if a team already has 2 players on 2-way contracts you first need to release one of those to Free Agency, otherwise you can't edit anybody onto a 2-way contract.

The CPU does sign players to extensions after doing this tested with 30 team controll with automation on, not 'real' CPU though.

Might also be an option to just edit current first rounders that way but re-edit them to simply have a 4 year contract (how often are the team options even declined IRL ?) ...
