I just got the standard edition game and I don't know where to access MyEra from the main menu. The main menu shows the following:
MyCareer
MyTEAM
Jordan Challenge
Play Now
MyLeague
Features
2KTV

If anyone could direct me to where/how to access MyEra, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like you are on last gen. Only next gen has ERAs.

Am I the only one that is having trouble doing pick swaps? I see that the cpu can use them in offers but I can’t.

Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere but I've been searching endlessly and cant seem to find an answer. Has anyone found good slides for the salary cap/MYNBA settings in general specifically for the Magic/Bird Era? I want to start there and play all the way through but all the stuff I'm finding is for the modern era. Anyone help?

I’m just so tired of sports games not giving us a true next gen experience. Like little stuff like a weekly or monthly wrap up show. An awards show. A playoff wrap up show. Track playoff stats. Like this is not a true next gen experience. Eras is dope but it still could be better. Removing the rpg features turns the franchise mode into MyLeague, I like MyGM for a reason. Im hoping next year they commit to offline players for once in the last 7-10 years

Honestly if you asked me what an NBA game would look like in 25 years when Live 98 was out I’d say I’d imagine the AI would be fully organic and adaptive. Like any player can have their voices made to say anything, not just record stuff of some players like we have now. Also franchise mode would be like real life. Backstage scenes, interviews, walks to the locker room, everyone having their own personalities and complete signatures etc. Even taking control of players outside of games like GTA off court lol.

Back then commentary was already happening and franchise modes were very immersive for the time. I’d imagine commentary would become this whole adaptive AI thing where they just make comments and create storylines based on the league at hand. Not pre recorded and to where players are subject to what commentary was (or wasn’t) recorded for them.

I’d simply literally imagine a franchise mode would be completely open, fluid and where you can do anything. “Sports Center” type shows documenting the league. Highlights from other games during halftime shows. And everything as accurate as it gets.

Especially considering the pace of growth from 1990 games to 2000 games, we haven’t seen anything NEAR that in the last 10 years. Many people even prefer 10 year old games.

Now, back then I obviously didn’t factor in “my player/city/park” becoming a thing and draining all resources. So maybe if the game was still completely NBA based and all development went toward making MyNBA intertwined with “the city,” we wouldn’t be THAT far off my original vision.

Random question - anyone know if you can add a user-created draft class when starting an online myleague? I haven't been able to find a way to do this. Wondering if you add it as a scenario and THEN start it, but I haven't figured out how to add a scenario for a new myleague either...Sorry, just got 2k23 2 days ago and trying to figure this stuff out. Thanks for the help!

I feel you on this but we have to be honest with ourselves and ask the hard questions. When you hashtag #NBA2K, what do you see? look into IG and do it... do you see regular or even throwback games being played? No. Its all REC and snowman building (what I call doing those playmaker builds and all)

I definitely agree we need more support but Im just glad that they invested alot of time this year to MyNBA more than they have been in the past

a) If you start a Jordan Era and say you want to play as Vancouver Grizzles do they still move to Memphis even Seattle or you cant stop that?

b) Lets say you start in the 1991 era can you say just auto sim until say the raps or someone joins in 95 and then take them over as play as them?

c) as far as the draft classes go lets say you start in 91 but then you get it 1996 can you import the draft class each year?

d) when you playing in the Jordan era I know G-League joins in like 2001-2002 i believe if i create a expansion team in the jordan era can you use those G-Leagues to develop players or no.

B. Yes you can but as SOON as they join, change the team control and control them. You can easily forget to switch over

C. Yeah you can, the draft classes getting better each week too.

D. Not sure on this, but yes the G League comes in the end of Jordan Era.. im currently in 2001-02
