Do you have a channel in Youtube?

No. It’s super simple to create a custom color ways though. It only takes a few mins. Follow these steps.
1. Find a photo (I use Getty images, NBA Kicks IG page and Hoops_sneakers_ iG)
2. Take a screenshot of the photo
3. Load it into one of the color identifier apps (currently using Color Picker for iOS)
4. Zoom in on the area you’re customizing to get the RGB value ie. 200 89 20 for example
5. Enter those values into the 2k shoe creator of the model you’re editing
6. For the materials you can play around with that but I always use rubber for the outsole and midsole. For the lining I use Fabric. Others may have different preferences.
To me it’s like artwork lol. I get inspired when I’m scrolling through IG and I see something I want to create. I only do color ways that are used by NBA players since I only play franchise and play now.

I always wonder what material “base” is when shoe editing. Do they mean they use a base material on the specific shoe (so it’s at least accurate to the specific shoe material) or is it some universal generic material they apply to all shoes?

Yeah that one. Can I find it in the regular shoe selection screen to give to Book? Can’t seem to find it anywhere. Not sure if I’m missing something right in front of me.

Yeah same here. What I do is when I know for sure what material is on the real life kick I’ll replicate that on my edit. When in doubt I leave it as the default. Midsole, outsole, straps, tongue, heel those things are usually pretty easy to figure out. It’s usually the base and overlay/underlay are harder to figure out. Plus sometimes the materials in 2k just don’t look right.

Glad to help. Big respect to all the creators on YouTube. I used to follow the videos and pause play pause play lol rewind because it went too far lol. I had to find a better way to make it less time consuming and to get the color ways I’d see every night in the NBA.

When you go to the roster menu go to Booker and select edit. In the shoe section select colorway and head to the Kobe IV. I believe there are 4 or 5 colorways and the purple Booker one is in there.

Thank you! I finally figured it out yesterday. I could’ve sworn I’ve checked the Kobe IV colorways a billion times since getting the game and didn’t see it. But I did this time.
