Is anyone else now seeing that players are no longer locked only into the shoe bands they’re signed with?

I can now put Reebok’s on Ja (for example).

Yeah it kind of sucks because you can’t change shoes for certain players (like Jimmy Butler or D’Angelo Russell w/ Li-Ning) or their brand is gone for good lol.

I second that, this has been one of the most consistent years in terms of shoe launch:
1) Tatum presented his shoe on Saturday and on Monday we had it on 2K
2) JA1 is only being released in April yet it is already in the game

Don’t blast 2K for one single shoe that’s worn by 2 players (Beal and Adebayo), they have been doing great this year

It's not about one model missing, even because it's not just one. I think about the scans, the layers, what's the sense of putting shoes? To satisfy the sneakerheads community, Wich is just a part of the game, i mean it's a basketball game not a sneakers game. But the way 2k cure that part, the aesthetic part also, i think it's lazy. It's not satisfying a community, it's just contenting. Come one they used to .do a hell.of a job on the old 2k. The colorways, every model had more than one "team colors"version. Maybe all of this it's just because of the transition to new gen. But I don't understand to put a scan for new gen, which is different on old gen. I mean com on it has no sense. It's hard to do not think they don't even check what they put in the game sometimes. Exactly like uniforms, talking about old gen it's getting always worst.

Here's an updated list of missing shoes for 2K23. There's an update coming up in a couple of weeks so hopefully, they will continue the trend of adding some new shoes. This is for newer shoe models only, not retros*.

Nike:
Giannis Immortality 2 (Nike has added all of their new models so this is more of a random suggestion).

Jordan:
Jordan 37 Low, Jordan One Take 4, Why Not .6

Adidas:
Adizero Rose 1.5, Adizero Rose 1.5 Low, Top Ten 2000, Crazy 97 (*Top Ten and Crazy 97 are retros but they were recently re-released by Adidas and have been worn in games this season)

Li-Ning:
CJ2, JB1, Way of Wade 10, Way of Wade 10 Low, Way of Wade All-City 10, Way of Wade All-City 10 V2, Way of Wade All-City 11, Yushuai XV V2 Low, Yushuai 16 V2, Speed 9, Power 8, Power 9

Under Armour:
Curry 1 Low Flotro, Curry 2 Low Flortro, Curry 4 Flotro, Curry HOVR Splash 2, Havoc 4

Anta:
Shock the Game 6, Frenzy 3, Daringly 3.0, GH4

Peak:
Surging Technology Triangle 2.0, AW1

Honestly, I would be ok if they only add the Adizero Rose 1.5, CJ2, JB1 and one of the Way of Wade 10. They will probably add the Sabrina Ionescu signature shoe, which was announced yesterday
