Re: NBA 2K23: The Little Things
I just really like the way the ball falls in here after a foul. But once it went in I felt like I celebrated just like Jaylen did lol

Re: NBA 2K23: The Little Things
Verrrry little thing but I'm so glad the Eras players have largely been outfitted in classic Nike, Converse, or Adidas shoes right out of the box. One of the biggest classic team editing tasks over the years has always been replacing 2K generic shoes with something era-appropriate but so much of that work is already done.
I noticed that this changes a little bit in year two at least in the Jordan era.Comment

I might be the tiniest thing because I'm new to next gen. But does anyone when defender turn their heads to locate the man their covering? Their heads are constantly moving.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: NBA 2K23: The Little Things
I used to love doing the cat-and-mouse with AI-controlled Russell Westbrook in 2K12 because he was coded more of a shoot first point guard. As he would try to run offense I would offer him a drive to the basket. When he would take the offer, I would quickly close the scoring lane, and he would go back to running the offense. I would offer the lane, he would get distracted again. I would do that until the shot clock was around five then revert to a regular man. With five seconds OKC had a tough time getting good shots; I am surprised KD did not leave OKC in that franchise file lol.
Not sure why your opponent quit: He would have only been down ten with three left in the third and all of the fourth left.Comment

Actually, that looked like the cat-and-mouse guessing game of a mentally fatigued opponent. It looked like Tatum had been wearing'em out previously, so they were walled-up to stop him even though he was far way in the corner. Brown was so open, three or a layup could not go wrong; turns out he got three the old school way.

I don't understand why he quit either. But this is a common thing in PNO. I want to say about 40 to 50 of people's wins happen in the first 2 quarters. The lead isn't some unreachable place either. I once had a guy quit after I came back from 20 point lead. I was still down like 3 points. I get rage quitting. But man if you build the first lead why would you think it's not possible to build another. I had one where he was up 10. I hit a few 3 pointers and he quit.
I wish they stopped this quitting culture. Like make them wait an hour (or a few) before they can start another game if they quit after the top off.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: NBA 2K23: The Little Things
I discovered the Pistons 1990 yesterday and i was really shocked to see Bill Lambeer was not dangerous for 3 pts.
Aguirre was not as strong as i thought. He was small and not thick.
But i was pleasantly surprised by Thomas and Joe Dumars and Rodman.
Edwards was really strong for the fadeaway, i think he maybe was too strong!!
But the gampelay was huge!! the Jordan moov are absolutly fantastic.
Ah just a small thing lol, when he is alone on fastbreak, if i made a long pass too him, when he reveived the ball, he stop running, and defender can catching up him, so he is not really alone to make an easy dunk.
For the dunk on fastbreak they are really bad!!! Please 2k, give us better dunk for Jordan when he is alone on fastbreak. We see a lot of 2 hands dunk, but rare when he make a one hand dunk. Maybe i don't have the good technic.
Good Example on this video below: i steals the ball, and you can see that when i get the ball, it is like a stop running while i'm pushing on R2 so the defender can catch me up and after he run faster than me so during the first step i run slowly than him, and after i can run normally but it is too late, and the dunk is difficult.

Re: NBA 2K23: The Little Things
Honestly, I love the organic normal plays. You'll still have grazing elbow blocks from time to time and funky layups but every now and again you get a sequence where you're like, "Wow, that looks like basketball."
Most recently it was this:
<iframe src="https://giphy.com/embed/pT7zWfSaTEB1BxZlXj" width="480" height="270" frameBorder="0" class="giphy-embed" allowFullScreen></iframe><p><a href="https://giphy.com/gifs/pT7zWfSaTEB1BxZlXj"></a></p>
David Robinson going up and getting that shot, Johnny Dawkins never breaking stride in the loose ball recovery (as opposed to that hitch we often see), and a smooth contested layup at the other end
Bonus: LA's Tony Campbell standing in anticipation on the bench only to watch Kareem thwarted.Last edited by VDusen04; 01-17-2023, 08:10 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K23: The Little Things
The new ERA Mode plays entirely different than the current Era. Dennis Rodman does his cuff as he rebounds the ball. You must box him out. Dennis loves the put backs. He also bring down the ball after retrieving a rebound. His nickname should’ve been The trash man because he will destroy you by rebounds and points if you leave him uncovered.Comment
