Re: I am a MyEra/MyLeague diehard. Here are three things I would like to see in 2k24
Haven't played NBA in years, but am getting a new/current system soon to get NBA 2K24 and am really excited! Thanks for any info on my questions...
- So how are the hairstyles now (on 2K23)? Do they have Smarts green hair and Kai Jones' teel? Can you edit players hair? Like if someone has a fro and gets a buzz cut? Just don't want to start my MyLeague(?) and then have a major look change and be stuck with that for years of playing my Franchise.
- Is it easy to add/move/replacing teams for custom ones you create/download?
- I pretty much only play offline Franchise Mode, any big changes in the last few years?Comment

2K broadly releases a few likeness updates per year. Here's an example: https://www.operationsports.com/nba-...s-patch-notes/
2. I've had very little issue relocating, customizing, or downloading designs when it comes to expansion in franchise mode. I actually finally got around to creating some of my own logos and uploading them to use on courts; the only issue there is that sometimes it took the server hours/days to get my logos online (other times it was very fast).
3. A big complaint among franchise gamers is that there hasn't been much under-the-hood updates within the mode for a couple years. Classic gamers, of course, were blessed with the ability to begin their franchise in 1984, 1991, or 2002 this year, however.Comment

1. Hairstyle quality is in the eye of the beholder. Smart and Jones both have their hair color. A number of players do, indeed, have various hair options but it's not unlimited. Generally, if there's a player who's had two or more very distinct hairstyles in real life, 2K may offer each as an option. For instance, Michael Jordan has a "hair" and "bald" style.

So if you are in a Franchise (think it's MyLeague) and a player decides to go to cornrows or a buzzcut from a mini fro, are you stuck with the old style. I know you said they do some updates, but I will probably start my franchise by the beginning of the regular season that I plan to go many years into. Those won't update in already started Leagues, will they?Comment

I bought 2k for the first time in years to play MyEras. Absolutely love it, even if it's not perfect.
One thing that drives me CRAZY though that hasnt been fixed over the years is the timing of player options. You can't trade most guys on rookie deals during the draft because they haven't had their options picked up yet. It's so backwards. In real life a guy has his option picked up or declined in October of the previous year, so he's guaranteed already heading into the following season (October 22 for the 23-24 season for example). But with the incorrect timing for this process it severely limits the best trades in the NBA! It's crazy it hasn't been fixed in 10 year or whatever.Comment

Also it's mental that you still can't initiate draft night trades with or for the rights to players who have just been picked, but the CPU can. So if someone drafts a player you want before your pick, the only way you can propose a trade to get them is by putting something in the trade finder and hoping the CPU offers that player up in exchange.Last edited by sirdez; 07-30-2023, 07:47 AM.Comment

Re: I am a MyEra/MyLeague diehard. Here are three things I would like to see in 2k24
I want them to highlight the small additions that they added this year. Again, I am assuming that they didnt go all out like thwy did last year... which I get but tell me about those small additions.
How many new courts did they add? Uniforms that were missing? Players that theywere able to add from previous years?
Championship bugs, were those figured out? You know, the 90s camera bug to the modern day Finals MVP bug with someone from a previous team on the podium?
These small things actually help us enjoy the game more than they probably understand.. well for meComment

Re: I am a MyEra/MyLeague diehard. Here are three things I would like to see in 2k24
All-Star Game Jerseys – Players will now have available past era specific uniforms. Last Years game took it a step, but now we are taking it up another notch!
Championship Celebrations - Teams will now have dynamic celebrations, as we captured a variety of celebrations that you will see throughout in Eras.
More Uniforms and Courts - We have added more uniforms and courts throughout the eras, so that users feel that real connection that may have been missing in last years launch. Rebrands have been refigured as well through out eras!
NBA Playoff/Finals Decals - We have now made Era specific decals that will move along with each era. The 80s script will be in the Magic/Boird Era, a 90s script and an early 2000 script for the Kobe Era.
Something like that! A new era cool but lets fine dine the older ones hahaComment

Right! In the Courtside Report, tell me about like:

Don't forget about having a mvp, defensive player of the year and coach of the year award ceremonies in front of the fans also
Player of the week, month and playoff picture gets communicated through shows such as NBC showtime before a game of the week matchup on the schedule would entice me to pre orderLast edited by midwestking100; 08-04-2023, 06:39 AM.Comment

The G-League isn’t done well. Some guys are too good as FA. Meanwhile I send my 14th roster guy down and he’s suddenly Irate over the demotion lol. And he declines in ability! Using the G League should be more realistic.
And even with durability slider at 1 there are still too few injuries. Injuries are a huge part of the NBA and our depth never gets tested.Comment

Allow us to be able to assign free Agents to any team in G League for once.Comment

All of this. This is the flavor that I were talking about. A bland my era mode gets boring no matter how you slice it.
