    I believe we are getting 2010-2011 "LeBron/Heatles era", I wouldn't mind a 2007-2008 starting point myself.

Hopefully they give us a new scoreboard or two to go along with a new starting period.

Question is do all players get pro play animation, do legends get them. And also does it lock you into more animations than before.

The subbing AI finally sounds good.

Graphically it looks identical to 2K23 if you ask me. They just removed that smoky filter effect they gave 2K23.

Watching the 2K23 trailer the movements look more or less as fluid as they do in 24 to me (maybe my eye for detail on that isn’t as intense as some) so I’ll have to see how it looks with real gameplay.

This is an interesting feature with 2K using actual game footage instead of straight mo cap to capture players movements. It makes sense to go this route technology wise since they have unlimited footage of all of the NBA players, heck even rookies coming into the league. Also they should be able to constantly update the players moves if they are using gameplay footage.

Two questions I do have are for one, will any of this translate over to the classic players? Classic players from the mid 1980's and up, they should be able to capture their gameplay footage easily from their games. It would be pretty cool for all if not most of the classic players movements, shots, dribbling ect to get updated to real life since they are using this instead of MO cap, which of course is in possible to use on retired players. If so this would be a huge step forward for the classic teams game play.

The other question I have is a presentation one. Can we finally get a true halftime show with better halftime highlights and highlight's from around the league of other games going on like NFL2K5 use to do. Especially since it seem like 2K will be utilizing actual NBA game footage alot with this 2K24 feature.

I sure hope so for the classic teams. I'd love to see Magic Johnson play and move like Magic.

Let's go! Good stuff Mike! Can't wait!

I just hope the issue with the ball not hitting the floor & getting stuck in mid air at times during certain chained dribble moves has been addressed. Especially with all of the new dribble moves being added. That has been one of my biggest gripes with the game.

All of this looks promising. Y’all know I’m a visuals guy though. Few things that standout. STAPLES FINALLY LOOKS LIKE STAPLES!! Arena specific lighting has finally been implemented!! And Tatum finally looks like a basketball player!! Huge W 2k 🙌

The crazy thing is how the defense reacted to the animation. That is actually very realistic. I need to know how does this behave as a user Defender? I hope we won't be stuck in an animation

O yeah, I’m impressed of the defender movement that feels very real and not only sliding with determinate fix path.

Guess I'll be the party pooper but I want to see the other 8 players on the court. The 1v1 animations look great but I want the whole shabang. It's a good start with this tech though. Only a matter of time before 2k eventually gets all 10 players moving more realistically.

They would just need to bring back the functionality of the old L2 defense where you get some AI assistance in shadowing the dribbler and just need to flick RS to turn your hips and cut off a specific direction.

No, the game looks great and I can't wait to play it. I just like players looking the way they do in real life. It makes the game feel more realistic.

Would you prefer the AI to make every single wide open shot? Because that isn't realistic. Even the best shooters ever are going to miss wide open shots.

I love the concept of this, but I’m still skeptical about how its implemented. It looks like a canned animation, the way the defender is moving and switching stances on the KD and Steph ProPlay clips.

Would be nice to see these plays happening on screen and actual gameplay. How free are we to branch out of these animations? What happens if I try this KD move but instead decide to cross over one more time and drive, or cross the other way and shoot ? How will these animations blend together?

Because what they showed is basically a Canned animation of something going on exactly how the real life clip. In videogames that’s now how stuff play out
