It’s like they tripled down on being bad, graphically. Unbelievable.
I was gonna say the same. Looks pretty terrible considering it still looks like 2K22 and considering I think 2K24 looks WORSE than 2K23, so at best 2K25 maybe looks like 2K23 again?

And I was trying to see if they brought glossy courts and reflections back at least. I thought it appeared they did? If I’m mistaken and somehow 2K25 gets shipped with matte non reflective courts again then I’m done with 2K (already was with 2K24 as I went back to 2K23).

And the movements don’t look as crisp or smooth as I think they think they do in this trailer. They look to me the same as 2K24.

Can anyone tell definitively if they brought gloss back to the hardwood?

Almost seems like they made it glossieR than 24, but still non reflective like previous 2K’s and real life.

I preordered 2K24 and picked it up day 1. I might preorder 2K25, but I don't want to make the same mistake I made with 2K24, which was assuming it was going to at worst look like 2K23 and at best look better.

It's hard for me to tell how a game is going to look on my tv from YouTube videos, and I miss the days of going to my nearby Best Buy to see how a game looks on-screen. I think we're of the same mind--gameplay is key, but I'm not going to buy 2K25 if the graphics look like 2K24.

          Yessir.

          All about gameplay for me.

Every follicle of Wemby’s hair could be scanned into the game and I couldn’t care less if I don’t have fun putting that ball through the hoop and stopping people from doing the same.

          Good to see you Kush.

I feel like 2k devs focused way too much on shooting (custom visual cues, pro stick rhythm shooting, go-to-shots). Imo, a solid contest sytem would suffice.

No mention to the passing system at all, which badly needs a revamp. Also, the fact they marketed shot cancelling as a new feature is not a good look.

The new dribble engine sounds great, and the improved spacing would definitely help the gameplay. But in the CR video I just saw NBA players doing what it seemed signature dribble breakdowns and escape dribbles.

On top of that, J.Murray and Trae Young shooting that default stepback jumper from the Xbox 360/PS3 days didn't help either.

Idk. I'm not feeling it right now. I'll have to wait and watch actual gameplay to dispel the doubts.

Choosing "Low Risk-Reward" will provide more forgiving shot timing that emphasizes ratings, openness, and taking smart shots over the release of the button or stick. A mistimed shot could still go in but the green make window will be smaller, making it more difficult to consistently have excellent-timed releases
This sounds exactly like I (and many others) have asked for for some years! Only thing is that it seems like you cannot set this in online league settings, but only in individual controller settings. so no way for a league admin to make sure that everybody uses it.

What does this mean, we can't get free throws?, that would be bad news for offline players

It just means the badge is gone. You could still draw fouls before this badge was added. It will the same in 2k25

Any news regarding the badges? Are they the same of year?

Would it be bad if I want LESS badges than having new ones?

Yes. I don't really like how weighted badges are compared to ratings. I can understand having situational badges, but I don't like there being badges for almost every skill. It has to come to a point where ratings should factor, instead of needing more badges

sigh...at this point might as well keep ratings hidden and just give badges for everything and anything.
