Re: NBA 2K25 PC/Steam Early Tip-Off starts NOW
Living vicariously through all who have it -- this week is hell week for me at work and I don't have the time to do any gaming. But I am excited to see the positive feedback here for the PC version (it got some love, finally).Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 PC/Steam Early Tip-Off starts NOW
Runs fine for me on the ROG Ally X using these settings.

I can't get anywhere near the settings in that link. I figured out some settings that make the game play well and look good I just have to start and quit a play now game when I first start 2k25 in order for the game to stop stuttering lol.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

Re: NBA 2K25 PC/Steam Early Tip-Off starts NOW
I'm on rog ally x. I find the 1600 x resolution Is the sweetspot. The graphics hold up and the frames are fairly consistent.
Regarding gameplay, I'm still on the fence. I heard dribbling is meant to be sufficiently improved, however I'm not seeing this. Am I supposed to just dribble with left stick or should I hold down something else to enable the new dribbling mechanics? I didn't play 2k24 but did 2k23 and often I feel like I'm playing the same game albeit it feels more polished in some areas.
A few notable improvements are that you can score contested shots more which is more realistic as when I last played it seemed open shots could go in, contested always missed particularly for AI. The graphics also seem a step up but that could be because I'm playing on pc. I also feel defensive rotations have improved in certain scenarios. Particularly on the pick where the covering defender offers better support than in previous versions.
I don't see that the game is a generational improvement though, at least not yet. It still very much feels like I'm playing something I played before and the match sounds and crowd reactions etc still feel a bit lacklustre and sometimes that can break the immersion but still early days.Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 PC/Steam Early Tip-Off starts NOW
Hey PC users, anyone with a RTX 3050 or 3060 or 4050 notebook (6GB) play the game?
I try to discovery if 2K25 runs on my notebook or buying for PS5.
I like to play in HIGH/ULTRA with 1440p res.Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 PC/Steam Early Tip-Off starts NOW
Have a 4070 Super and a Ryzen 9 and I'm experiencing frame rate issues. It's still smoother than my son's PS5, but it's definitely noticeable and frustrating. I turned down shaders to medium and Crowd NPC to medium as well, and it seemed to make a difference. But it doesn't look as good. Hoping there's something I'm missing or a future update that smooths the frame rate out.
Can't get over how much better it looks on PC by the way.PSN: sportdan30
