Ball had 3 fls in the first quarter. They kept him in, so I just ended up simming the game. He ended up with 36 min.

That's concerning, because 2K's substitution system always at least accounted for foul trouble. So we have fatigue meaning nothing, players not being subbed out according to rotation settings, and no subs for foul trouble.

I had a game yesterday where Tyrese Halliburton got 2 early fouls and was subbed out and didn’t return the rest of the half so it’s all over the place with that apparently

I may have a work around guys!!! I just played a MyNBA from Steph curry era and I switched over to cpu team. You need to go into the coach setting and change subs to rotation (I am almost certain I also changed player minutes to manual. If that doesn’t work then put back to auto). Then go to coach sliders and change bench depth to 12 (or more). bench utilization to 100 and lineup performance factor to 0. I played a great game and no one played over 38 min. They played a total of 10 players. I will play a few more games tomorrow and hopefully it’s stable until patch comes out

I setup a roster where every team had a 10 man rotation, 100 bench utilization, and 0 performance factor. It led to plenty of subs, but “hot” players still would not get subbed out.

It doesn’t seem to be an issue with anything other than that erroneous hot label that’s only visible in the Substitutions menu under Gameplan. If the player doesn’t get flagged as hot, the game will sub them without issue. But if they do get flagged, they’re staying in.

FYI to everyone in this thread. 2k have stated in several (extremely obscure) places that they are working on a fix but it will be specifically through an upcoming patch. It won’t be a main screen update (I’m pretty sure those updates are just roster and VC related things and nothing to do with any gameplay fucntion.)

2k Evan acknowledged it on the discord and has it listed as “in progress” as of noon on Tuesday the 10th. Da Czar has also acknowledged it on twitter and stated there will be a fix coming in an upcoming patch. It’s not going to be a main screen update, it will be a patch. Until then, practice your dribble moves, work on draft classes or go play college football 25.

I think the majority of us offline gamers don't use the fancy dribbles and we stick to the basic dribbling system with the odd signature move.
College Football 25 is mediocre at best. I'd rather go play Madden 08 on PC.
Draft classes is a good idea though.

So you don’t play realistically then? Iso is a major part of NBA offenses.

Yes we heard the same thing, but the issue is .it could be over a month before this update comes out. We're left with a game that is virtually unplayable (for any realism that is) until then. People believe this is game breaking and should be a priority to get fixed ASAP.

It's not just in the Era modes that it breaks, it breaks MY PLAYER too, because I just started with the Orlando Magic and I am behind Suggs as a PG, but I'm getting over 40 minutes a game because rotations and subs arent working.

It breaks every mode practically.

Oh yeah, I’m completely with you. I posted that because there’s lots of people on all nba forums asking if it’s been fixed yet. It won’t be until there’s a game patch.

I mean I don't use any excessive fancy dribbling and in general I run plays and follow them. I also play on Real Player %.

I use fancy dribbles if the player I’m controlling does IRL. I can’t imagine using the Mavs and having Kyrie just left-right crossover and drive. Gotta hit them with some hesis, launches, pull backs, step back shot cancels into crossover drive launches, right back into a step back as they over commit to the drive.

They seriously released a game where subs don’t work. Unacceptable. Reminds me of the yearly issue of cpu never calling time out either!
