The shooting needed to be nerfed, but instead they turned it up. Now anyone can’t shoot. One of the Thompson twins hit 3 threes in a quarter on mePsn: Alabamarob

Meanwhile they nerf the post game. I’ve seen the post fade glitch they were talking about, but there’s absolutely no reason for the greatest centers to ever play the game to miss point blank hook shots in practice mode. I submitted a ticket to 2k and they closed it. I’m sure I could raise the close shot slider, but that isn’t even the issue because standing floaters with these same centers are automatic. Only the hook shots are messed up.Comment

The default tendencies have glaring errors. You need a roster. Download mine and try a game. It works wellComment

Re: NBA 2K25 Version 2.0 Patch Released Ahead of Season 2
Playing on All-Star, I lowered all of the CPU's shooting sliders to 47 (aside from midrange, which I dropped to 48) and lowered the User's 3PT shooting slider to 53 (might go down to 52 or 51 depending on my numbers over the next few games). That seems to have produced good, realistic results. Post-patch, the CPU was knocking down shots in my face even when I completely smothered the CPU player. The perimeter defense rating matters a lot more this year, but come on, weak defenders are weak by NBA standards, they're not middle-aged, out of shape players down at the YMCA or LA Fitness.
I know the Jazz have been terrible on D, so that should be reflected in the game, but bad defenses should be allowing around 49% of FGA, not 60% like the CPU was dropping on me post-patch. The shooting slider tweaks should suffice, though, there's nothing else that needs to be touched as the overall gameplay flow is GOATed.Comment

Re: NBA 2K25 Version 2.0 Patch Released Ahead of Season 2
Guys sorry if I demolished the post patch game. I don't know what had happened, I had 3 unexplained games, they complete senseless from every point of view. Today I played again, Always with the same sliders that I have always used and the game runs very well. I don't really know what had happened, as if it had temporarily buggered. So I have to take back what I had saidComment

So they buffed shooting in general? I thought it was just for the button. The CPU only rhythm shoots…

That's been my experience. Before tweaking the shooting sliders, the CPU was even harder to defend against than it was pre-patch and my 3PT% was too high as well.
Your experience may vary, though. A few people on here have said the game is easier now, though I find that take perplexing. I'd suggest playing a few games and making small changes to the shooting sliders depending on what you see and your play style.Comment

1. You have multiple tools to customise your game especially this year.
2. You can't expect every game to play the same. You might have a series of games where everything goes wrong for you or the cpu or both.
3. Play the game when you're not tired. Depending on the opponent and difficulty you're playing on, if you're very tired you can't focus on D or offense.
4. Use coach settings and plans. Cpu adapts quickly in this year's game. Spend a bit more time shaking things up. If you feel bored don't launch the game. Play something else and get back to the game later in a better mentality.Comment

The wide open shots with anyone over 60 3pt rating is almost like a layup.
It’s even worse from mid range.
I think they have done an excellent job with the contest system, and it is damn near perfect. That is why I don’t understand why they made open shots so easy.Psn: Alabamarob

The CPU shooting accuracy post patch is way more accurate. They are at 45 to 60 from three every game, and that is with me contesting a lot of those shots.
