The point is we're heading that way.... The more money you give them for nothing, the greedier they get, the more they invade our lives with these micro-transactions... It's going to cost VC to play an Offline Quick Match soon....

Re: How much money have you spent on this mode?
Not really... Not all DLC is already on the disc...
Do you understand the ability to play a game as Jordan came with the $60 price tag, and you can do that, and edit his attributes any way you want right now?...
But you have people willing to pay $100 more to get a "Diamond Jordan", that's basically the same content you can already access, and edit to your liking?...
The card aesthetic, and the ability to play other idiots online makes it different tho, right?...Comment

By this logic we should be making fun of everyone who buys expensive basketball shoes because there is cheaper ones, or buys BMW's when you can buy a used chevy for much cheaper....Comment

Re: How much money have you spent on this mode?
I get what this guy is saying. Idk if I necessarily agree with him but I get his point. You're paying extra money but you're not actually adding any sort of content to the game. There's plenty of DLC that actually adds content so idk how you think he's saying that.

If the point is that all DLC that doesn't add "new" content is a scam, I don't agree with that either....
It really all boils down to my original point: people can do whatever they want with their money....it's their money...it's a silly thing I be worried about..
I mean, there are people who think buying video games period are a waste....but we buy for fun...(or most of us do, some 2k forum guys seem miserable half the time) but spending YOUR money to increase your own personal enjoyment of the game? That's a no, no.Comment

How much money have you spent on this mode?
Haha, shoe heads are actually a good example...
I sure as hell wouldn't rebuy some Barkley's I paid $100 in the 90's for $180 now in a different color...but more power to them....that's their thing...Comment

I was just speaking to the "on disc" comment, as 9/10 times, there are traces of what your downloading "on disc"...these guys are rarely building brand new content and importing it in...

Which games are you playing to where DLC doesn't add new content?
I agree with your points. I don't care what people do with their money, I was just saying I understand what this guy was trying to say. If people want to spend $20 to get some gold players then go ahead.

I meant that the car thing was reaching lol. They're a bit too different to make a fair analogy IMO.

Re: How much money have you spent on this mode?
Whether people are farming VC or spending real money, the bigger issue is that there's no way to play My Team normally and field a competitive team.
You could maybe say that it was possible before they patched the Domination team packs in January.
But since that "fix," the mode basically forces people to waste large amounts of time or money just to get a fair game online.Comment

Re: How much money have you spent on this mode?
How so, I have a grand am and my friend has a beamer. I still get point A to point B just fine. They are both cars and both do their jobs, he spent more than 3 times what I spent.Comment

Re: How much money have you spent on this mode?
So you're suggesting that the only difference between the two cars is price? When you look at it simply, the analogy makes more sense. There's just so many more reasons to buy a nice car than spend some extra money on a game. Maybe I was overthinking it haha

Re: How much money have you spent on this mode?
Your not getting the point by people blowing hundreds of dollars for these "special cards" which only have 1 or 2 boosts in stats is only hurting the community and has made 2k more money hungry. Look at all the ways they have patched earning vc its almost impossible now unless u give them your credit card number. All these my team tournaments are broken with people running 5 to 6 michael jordans in a lineup and they have yet to patch that its clear that all they care about is money and its only gonna get worse when 2k15 drops.
I can't get a point that's not being made. No one is debating the fairness of the mode or any of that...the "2k is all about money" speech has been given ad nauseam....that's fine....but it's not what's being discussed...Comment
