Either I'm really good w him, or ppl are terrible at post D. Either way, 3 wins in a row after a bad run.

I get him hot early. See what he can do. See what my opponent can guard. If he gets tired or doesn't produce, amethyst boogie usually comes thru. One of them gets on a hot streak every game so far.

So yeah. Solid 20pts 7rebs 2asst 3blks the last few games. I'm not a huge fan of basically an OP Bradley\Bol, but I'm winning. Lol. Yay.

Played a friendly vs. a Yao last night. Had Robinson, Sabonis, and Dikemve on him.

He did too well on contested shots at the rim. Didn't go off...we're talkin something like 6-9, but still too good considering the defense in front of him.

He's a cheesers dream. And it doesn't take much to get him hot, esp if he's grabbing boards and blocking shots.

I have yet to meet someone with a yao that's giving me trouble. So far my ruby KAT and emerald embiid are too much. They're both decently strong, really fast (for a center) and they can both shoot 3s. The oponent's yao is usually dead halfway through the 3rd quarter

I haven't had any trouble on Yao to be honest. Boogie dominates him with Ease for the most part. He's annoying and disrupts my driving but for the most part he's too slow so like previous comments have said I just kill him in transition lol.

I think some people miss the point. Sure you can stop him with your 50-100K Russell/Boogie/whatever. But you can get Yao for 5-6K. So for those people on a budget, its hard to stop him with anything but another Yao.

He's not OP in terms of all centers in the game, but his commonness makes him OP compared to other players at his price level.

Nothing fun about forcing an awful shot, and then Yao bailing the guy out with an offensive rebound everytime. You get punished for playing on-ball D on the shooter since your CPU defender on Yao mysteriously gets a 25 boxout rating..........(cough) diamond David Robinson

i aint gonna lie i picked him up and he fits my team well. i don't play cheese style but i couldn't pass up picking him up for 4000 mt and flipping my dwight howard and boogie cousins..

yao is a really good player and it's nice to have someone to combat the bol/bradley garbage.

i play such a slow paced game anyway he's perfect.

Amy Boogie cost less than 25k. Towns is way cheaper than that too.

Amethyst cousins the best pickup for price and emerald KP if Yao becomes a problem, don't let that low strength fool you, he's 7'3 with decent speed. Kill Yao every time for me.

I wonder how many people use Willis Reed against him like I do The height difference can make rebounding tricky but I can score off the pick and roll with him at will especially if you have a stretch 4 on the floor so your opponent's PF can't help.

Sadly I have found that size matters way to much in this mode. My Yao has decent rebounding stats, but due to his height I can get a double double with him by half-time. Small undersized centers with great rebound ratings (Reed, Wallace, Petit) just don't perform as well as anoversized big.

I've only had trouble with Yao when I played someone who had a completely diamond team and my players would double team whoever was on the ball, leaving him wide open for easy dunks.

I'm rolling with Emerald Towns and Turner at C and can't say Yao is that much of a challenge.

As has been said before, he gets destroyed in transition too.

Maybe try experimenting with some different lineups to mix it up. In light of the recent explosion of Yao lineups on MTO, I just purchased Diamond Bill Russell to run at the 5 to see what kind of nasty things he can do to Yao. I'm looking forward to that.

Im a big fan of Bill. Dude got me 3 steals in 10mins last game. He might not block every guy but hes right on them patrolling the post and it makes it very hard for the other team to score. I wanted an elite defensive center to back up Ewing and hes perfect. Almost tempted to start him sometimes.
