So while the overall may drop with a position change, the chance that they reach their ceiling will not.

And to everyone else.... looks like we bring back dem stats!
I like it! International stats will also be implemented, league stats and/or EuroLeague stats. Note that since Euro games are 40 minutes stats will not be as high as expected.

Thanks bro! If you want, you can use it as a base for your future draft classes. Actually, I have a total of 10 Fictional DCs (in the spreadsheet). BTW I'm King Mellow from NLSC.

Thanks man but Sapp has us set as far as the bases is concerned we mapped out pretty far down the line already. And at the risk of sounding ignorant I have no idea what NLSC is.

If you guys are interested in hearing the podcast for the month of November it can be heard HERE

Now on to the month of December. We getting through the season fast this year guys. Let me know what you think:

                        December Newsfeed

                        December 2, 2016
                        Christopher Sapp is…. Interesting

The number two high school prospect welcomed my interview at Kecoughtan High School prior to their game against Bethel High School in Hampton, Virginia. The young man, already breaking just about all basketball records in the state already (Even with local greats like Allen Iverson playing in the same city), barely made eye contact with me prior to starting the interview. I asked him a few coaches before the interview was abruptly stopped…. I’ll just let you guys read it and see how it goes.

CWSapp: Well you have the same last name as me but I didn’t expect you to look so much like me as when I was a teenager.

                        Sapp: Ok.

                        CWSapp: That’s interesting.

                        Sapp: It’s not that interesting.

CWSapp: Ok, so you have been receiving a ridiculous amount of hype since you were a freshman in high school. Are you at all shocked that you were able to live up to the hype.

                        Sapp: No.

CWSapp: There are people that are already saying that you could be an All Star in the NBA as a seventeen year old kid. What do you feel about those claims.

Sapp: How am I supposed to answer that. If I say I disagree than people will make a big deal out of it and if I agree, I’m an a**hole. So I’m just going to take the cliché way out here and say I’m honored that people think that highly of me.

CWSapp: I don’t want the cliché answers Christopher. I want you to tell the truth.

Sapp: The truth is that I not only think that I could be an All Star in the NBA at 17…. I think that I could probably win the MVP. But that’s just how I feel.

CWSapp: Wow. That is confidence if I have ever seen it.

Sapp: You said you wanted the truth right?

CWSapp: Well I have a better question for you. If you’re as good as you say you are, why are you ranked second to another senior a couple of states up in Aaiden Blackshear.

Sapp: *laughs* What the hell you want me to say man? You want me to tell you that they’re wrong. You want me to tell you that he’s overrated and I’m underrated?

CWSapp: Is that how you feel?

Sapp: All I’m going to say is yes… they got it wrong.

CWSapp: Have you ever actually seen Aaiden Blackshear play? He’s spectacular. The fact that both of you are coming along at the same time is nothing short of amazing.

Sapp: Saw him play once. He’s not bad.

CWSapp: I would say you’re selling him a bit short but it’s your opinion.

Sapp: You here to talk to me or talk about some other dude?

CWSapp: Technically, I am doing both. I am talking TO you ABOUT some other dude.

                        Sapp: I’m out. I have a game.

While I admit that I did not handle that with as much professionalism as I would have liked, I think you were able to get a quick glimpse of who this kid is. He seems to be a kid with a chip on his shoulder and he also seems to have a bit of an attitude. Personally, I am not too fond of him but his greatness on the court can not be denied. By the way, Kecoughtan beat Bethel that night and Sapp had 31 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists…. In only 20 minutes of play.

After a little less than a month of play, Ohio State finally cracks the top 25

I’m not sure why we ever left the Ohio State Buckeyes out of the top 25 but for some reason we did. I suppose it is because the team is pretty much filled with freshmen and sophomores. The thing is… these freshen and sophomores are VERY GOOD. Led by freshmen SG Tommy Campbell and PF Mario Cook, the team is undefeated and currently ranked 17th in the nation. I truly feel like this team will continue to shoot up the top 25 as the year goes on as both of these young players make their case for freshmen of the year.

Providence point guard Dontay Webb rejoins the team after quitting on them last year

It can be hard to give someone a second chance when they walk out on you but that’s what Providence has decided to do for their point guard Dontay Webb. During a public apology, Webb was asked what led to him walking out on his team. Webb said, “I was going through some things. I was in a dark place but I have gotten things straight with myself and with my guys”.

Providence athletic director Robert Driscoll seems to have no grudge with the young point guard. “Things happen in life. None of us are perfect and he stood up like a man and admitted that he made a mistake. That’s enough for us”.

Providence will really benefit from getting Webb back as he was one of the best point guards in the conference last year.

No problem for Dajon Romero at the point guard position

We reported last month that last year’s number one recruit would be trying out a little point guard for the first time in his life. A month later, he is handling the role beautifully. Although Memphis stumbled a dropped a game in the month of November, Romero is playing great. Averaging 18.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists, the team is feeling great about Romero’s play.

Although Coach Pastner wants Romero to work on passing vision, he has still done great for someone that has never played the position. Although the Big Board hasn’t been put together as of yet, I can assure you that Romero will be very high on that list.

Duke is wasting no time racking up players from the top 150

Last year we reported that the 14th ranked high school player in the land C Jeremy Prince would be attending Duke. Well in just one month, the Blue Devils have taken home three more verbal commitments from top 150 players in the country. #8 Ranked Player in the nation SG Tre Turner, #28 SF Kevin McField and #130 SF Landon Moss have all verbally committed to play ball at Duke.

Other players that have already verbally committed this month:
#5 Ranked High School Player – C Omar Lewis commits to Louisville
#18 Ranked High School Player – C Kalen Rhodes commits to North Carolina

#21 Ranked High School Player – PF Shaun Boyd commits to Miami
#40 Ranked High School Player – SG Semaj Lofton commits to Connecticut
#49 Ranked High School Player – PG Brian Smith commits to Indiana

My Christmas Gift to you…. My list for top senior prospects in the country

In a world where players pretty much always bolt early, there are still some guys that “stay the course”. Although this list will be rather short, here is my list (in no particular order) of the guys that could have went to the NBA but decided to stay.

                        1) SF Kevin Dexter III/ USC
I have talked about Kevin Dexter before so most of you should not be surprised that he is on this list. Dexter has been a starter at USC since day one and during his sophomore year, he asserted himself as one of the top college players. Last year, his stats took a bit of a dip due to sharing the scoring load with star freshman PG Rashard Wallace but he has always been active everywhere on the court. I love his hustle, I love his energy and I love his “team first” attitude. Expect to see Dexter fall somewhere in the lottery.

                        2) SF Greggy Harris/ Florida
Greggy Harris actually reminds me a lot of Dexter. Harris is actually more talented than his stats will ever show. He is a capable scorer and an underrated shooter but Harris is dedicated on the defensive side of the ball. Harris is usually guarding the team’s best guard or forward and takes pride in locking down the perimeter. Oh, and you have to love his “work hard but have fun” mentality. This is another mid to high lottery pick in next year’s draft.

                        3) C Samuel Sanchez/ Nicholls State
How do you think the 2 time Southland Player of the year plans to follow up his excellent junior campaign? By being the front runner for a third conference player of the year of course. At 7’1 280 pounds, this big man has a Joakim Noah mentality throwing his big frame around and never giving up on a play. He is currently second in the nation in rebounds and has a good chance to lead the nation when it is all said and done. I love this guy as an NBA prospect and think he will also be a high lottery pick.

Can't wait for these classes to start rolling out in full force. I have an idea for a MyLeague with my Mavs or maybe the Spurs, where we compete for a couple years, and I pick up some solid role players in the first round, then when our older players start to retire, fall off for a couple years, and try to pick up Sapp or Blackshear in DC 4 or 5 and rebuild around them.

Sapp! I know I'm late on the response train but I've been meaning to get a hold of you regarding scouting reports. Firstly, can you put me on the list? My old e-mail was on there but not my newer one. [email protected]

Secondly, I want to streamline the scouting process to involve as little of 2Ks system as possible. They had a beautiful idea, but those stats are a bit wacky. Been a long time since a College player averaged 30ppg. I love all of your work as I've told you and I am just as big a fan as I am a teammate. I keep having to resist simulating my MyLeague because DC2 isn't out yet. I am dying to play with some of these studs in DC1.

The scouting reports are one of the best aspects of the classes and I know that they take a crazy amount of time away from you. Love the stats idea.

P.S. That Christopher Sapp from DC2 sounds like kind of a real D--- head.
