Lol damn man. I can promise you that won't happen with our classes. As we have been finishing up the League we have been testing some of the classes within the League and the variety has been great. Once Dreece actually gets his hands on the tendencies for these other classes it will be ten times better. In addition to that, once we finally finish the League we can put our full focus back on to the classes.

Re: SimWorld’s 2k16 Fictional Draft Classes by CWSapp/Dreece/Blindside (XBOX One)
Timberwolves update: After finishing in the lottery from season one, and picking up Christian O'Leary in draft, and trading Peckovic for Taj Gibson, we stormed into the reg season.
Wiggins went down for a few weeks which allowed me to move O'Leary into the starting rotation. He had been providing a nice punch off the bench almost averaging 15mins/13ppg up to that point. He slowed down a little once put into the starting rotation but was serviceable until Wiggins returned.
Things were going pretty smooth until about two weeks before the deadline when Rubio went down for 4-6 months with a dislocated kneecap. This pushed Lavine to starting PG and then I moved Shabazz into the SG slot. Taj had been a major dissapointment throughout the year, even losing starting time to N. Bjelica/A. Payne. Shabazz was in his final year and had already said he was going to test FA, so I moved them both for Batum who was not happy in Charlotte. This allowed me to move Wiggins to SG.
I ended up coaxing the team to a 4th place Western Conf finish and got the matchup of the Pelicans in the first round.
Season re-cap of FDC players
SpoilerO'Leary finished with 8.2ppg/2.9apg/17.4mpg and made second team all-rookie. Overall he was exactly what I had drafted him for, a reliable scorer off the bench for the second unit.
Jadar Choice ended up winning the ROY.
Overall we were pleased with the regular season effort. The two young superstars, Wiggins and Towns, both had progressed in their development and O'Leary became that scoring punch off the bench I was needing. However, in the first round matchup things quickly went south. We ended up being swept by the Pelicans as there was no answer for A. Davis. Wiggins showed signs of being the go to guy when needed as he averaged 28ppg, but Towns had some issues scoring and Batum was downright ugly in his shooting averaging only 8ppg.
This basically answered what I had already figured out, we were still a few steps from really competing. I had to get some more defensive help at PF, and a reliable player at either SG or SF.Comment

Second Off-Season
Due to finishing fourth in conf, I was given the 24th pick. So my dreams of picking up Ra'Shawn Michaels was just that a "Dream."
Due to the overall weakness of this draft I was willing to just sit at 24 and pick whatever fell into my lap.
SpoilerHowever, at the 13th pick the Pistons sent me an offer of Hibbert/#13 for my #24/Batum. Batum had ended the year pretty badly and was already on the outs. So I was going to move him one way or another. I put out feelers but at least during offseason there just wasn't anything involving Batum as a piece that interested me. Until this. Raquan Miller was still available and according to Sapp was one of the more NBA ready players in the draft, albeit with a probably low ceiling. I pulled the trigger.
In second round I took Bill Cheadle, who during FA I ultimately cut to make roster room.
Since I made the playoffs, this time I had the opportunity to sign one of the better FAs available. I ended up filling my PF starting hole by signing G. Monroe to a 3yr deal of about 15Mil/yr. I added Marcus Smart for a nice cheap 2 year deal. He added some toughness and much needed perimeter defense that I could play at either SG/PG.
This left me with 15 players:
Rubio,Smart,Wiggins,Monroe,Towns
Bench-Z. Lavine,Tyus Jones, Delladova, O'Leary, D. Rudez,Bjelinca,Payne,Raquan Miller, G. Dieng,R. Hibbert
Out of those Rubio, Hibbert, Delladova were all on the trading block. And in the case of Rubio were going to be moved the first chance I got. I had already committed to Lavine being my PG going forward and Rubio wasn't happy coming off the bench.
So until DC3 drops I will just be playing some summer league games to pass the time and see if I made the right choice on Raquan Miller.Comment

Can you guys comment on how we should use or not use the in game scouting of the DC prospects? If I recall we should ignore the potential rating? Do you just scrap the in game scouting to keep realistic?
On a side note how's the AI drafting? Do they make the "right" picks?

What I do for in game scouting is it forces you to pick something. So I click specific players and I go to the first set of rankings to the right and I sort and just click the lowest rated prospect and scout them once which is like 40 percent which I would hope I don't draft the 150th prospect. And then it goes 149th prospect the next time it pops up and so forth. I don't look at any of that information since I'm not scouting. And I try not to look at players potentials after I draft because it could sway you from wanting to trade that player if it's low and just not playing with them. In my recent experiences with the classes last year you can still get some great role players who won't develop into the next greats.

One thing that has been said before and I'll re emphasise is that Scouting a player to 100% is entirely unrealistic as it really isn't possible for a real life scout to go and say "player x" has a 87 potential.
Some people don't use the in game scouting at all. Some use it in conjunction with the reports sapp provides.
As far as AI drafting it's still pretty horrendous in my opinion so I would personally suggest controlling the draft yourself if you want to keep your game balanced and honest long term but again it's all user preferenceComment

Raiderz essentially hit it right on the head. It really is down to how you wanna do it.

Obviously don't make a top 5 pick drop to 12 or a consensus #1 slip really at all; but it isn't crazy to think a guy ranked 13th would drop to say, 17th. Make yourself some ground rules for how far guys can drop down pre draft boards and stick to that rule.
When drafting for other teams, I generally check our their rosters and see kind of what they need and as long as a player is in the general range I will take them.Comment

Love your guys work, but one thing I miss from the old scouting reports are the list of "best shooters" "best athletes" "best rebounders". etc.
Thanks for these draft classes fellasComment

As for me, I control the entire draft using the SimWorld mock draft/big board as a guide. I'll go team by team, and draft according to their positional needs, prospects that make the most sense, etc. If a team is stacked at PF, they might not draft a good PF prospect if there's a good player at another position. Or they could draft the PF and trade him for a veteran, etc. The more you immerse yourself in the game, the more fun it will be.Comment
