"Other guys" real classes tend to use higher starting overall ratings because they try to get them to fit into 2k rating scale. Potentials of a lot of those classes also are way higher than we use.

You can use what you choose but whoever "real" class you use I can guarantee it will mess up the consistency of your MyLeague when it comes to the absolute mess that we have corrected in the default 2k roster and those sorry @$$ generated classes.

Ive been comparing a lot of the top classes and yours, and usually the overall ratings are similar such as the top guy in 1 and 2 gold were 76 and 79, and in real classes ben simmons, the #1, has a rating around 76-79. Also the top 10-15 have 70s and then it drops off. I agree with you on potentials though, usually theyre around 80s when they should be 70s. Im thinking i could just decrease them all by 5-10 and be ok, but im wondering if thats still not enough due to individual attributes.

Individual ratings and the most important aspect of prospect creation for MyLeague....TENDENCIES lol.

We are able to take guys like Jamaal Crawford and Steph Curry and make them dynamic. We're able to do that because we properly scaled all tendencies so we can have the behavior we want for guys to match the animations.

Getting guys to use size-ups was a concern for a lot of players....not in our sets. I've been able to create "pet moves" for a lot of our star players in our fictional LEAGUE.

As I said before you can do what you like because ultimately you wanna enjoy the game. Happy hunting

                          1) I'm curious how you do your tourney. How do you determine who is in, seeds, then games and stats?
As you guys know, we put all 150 players in each draft class to use. As many of you also know, the classes are not treated as individual classes and instead a large pool of players that are all in college at the same time. For example, a player that is comes out as a senior in draft class 4 will be a freshman during the DC1 stroyline, a sophomore during the DC2 storyline and a junior during the DC3 storyline. With that being said, I have a spreadsheet of a few hundred players that are “active” in that particular draft class stroyline. That spreadsheet includes the school, class and caliber of player. Before I start writing the storyline I look at the spreadsheet and provide each school with a particular score depending on the amount of talent they have and additional points for “returning talent”. Using that score sheet and my own small twist on things,I determine who is in and how they are seeded.

The results of the game are determined using a random number generator. To make a long story short, the two teams are each provided random numbers within a range. The higher the team is seeded, the more of those random numbers they are assigned therefore giving them a higher probability of winning but also allowing for upsets.

The stats are determined mostly through me after a winner has been determined. The stats are generally based on a player’s strength though so the likelihood that you will catch a defensive specialist like Michigan center Javancy Jamison scoring 30 plus points is very very low.

                          2) What all goes into it with the DC player involvement?

I’m not exactly sure I know what you mean but I may have answered it in the last question. If not I will happily answer it if you could clarify for me.

                          3) Do the tourney results impact future players college choices?
Nah, and the reason I say that is because SOOOOOO many of the players that are involved in these draft classes are influenced by different people. I would say that about 30 percent of the players come from other people. Another 20 percent is me picking smaller schools to ensure that all of the conferences are represented in some capacity even if the player is not talented enough to be drafted. The other 50 percent is generally me just winging it. For example, you may notice that as we go forward you see a lot of Kentucky freshmen popping up simply because I know that’s how they do. But I do attempt to change things up as well. Currently I believe Texas has a ton of players there and are one of the strongest but a few years down the line they may not even be in the tournament. I try to keep the school selection realistic but also unpredictable. The rest is just a result of you guys and the thread and the rest of the guys giving me player suggestions.

                          4) Do having multiple DC players at a school impact results?
Absolutely. Well, actually it impacts seeding which consequently impacts results as we previously discussed. The best example I can think of is Kansas State in this DC3 tournament. They were a seven seed and many people that look at the Big Board may say “big they don’t have any big time players on their team”. While this is true that they have no players on their team rated higher than 80 on the Big Board, they have about six players between rank 80 and 250. Because of this they earned their spot in the tournament. I hope that makes sense.

                          5) On player creations, how do you you decide where guys go to school and how many good players go to certain schools?
I guess I already answered this one but just to reiterate, I don’t even really get an opportunity to pick most of the top guys because I give them either to the Sim World guys or to you guys in the thread. The rest I just look at my spreadsheet of players and say to myself “Hmmm, this school hasn’t had a top player in a little while”. I wish it were more complex than that… but it isn’t lol.

Just tested your beta NBA roster with real classes I was about to use.. NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN! I played as my hometown Bulls with last years SimWorld League sliders, simmed everything. Bulls had the best record in year 2, got the #2 pick from an earlier trade, picked Dennis Smith, who ended up winning the MVP and lead us to the 'ship.. Most unrealistic thing ive ever seen in a video game!

Thanks! Very good answers! Now start getting guys to Purdue!
