As far as 30team control goes. We highly recommend it. Unless you want to be playing against a team that has 1 point guard and 5 centers.

A method I would recommend is downloading or viewing the scouting report that we put out with each class. It contains a mock draft that you can definitely use as a guide. The game provides you with an option during the draft to view "team needs" using those two tools alone you should be able to successfully navigate he draft.

Also along with those two. There are 3 different mock drafts also found under the scouting menu which essentially give you a cheat sheet to the draft. Again you'll need to make adjustments based off of that "team needs" screen as to not fill a team with one position.

Hopefully that clears it up for you
No offense taken. I am just a casual NBA fan so do not know the "ins and outs" of each team. However, I love sports gaming and recognize NBA 2K as an elite game in this genre (along with MLB the Show- never played baseball in my life and love that game). Also, I played with your rosters last year and found out first hand what a significant difference they make to gameplay.

      Your team does phenomenal work!

Thank you for the reply.. I will probably use 30 team control and take the approach you laid out.

Another question on DC1 scouting report individual graphs with ratings 1-10. How are these scaled? If someone has a 9 is that their current level or their ceiling? Also is the scale pos specific? For example a 9 inside scoring for a guard isn't the same as a 9 inside scoring PF?

On the scouting reports all of those scores represent where they are currently rated but it not in comparison to NBA players. It is more so in comparison to NBA prospects. A forward or center with an 87 offensive and defensive rebounding rating would get a rebounding score of a ten.

Also, the scores are definitely based on position. A good example would be passing. A centet with a 70 passing accuracy and vision would more than likely have a 10 passing rating while a point guard with the same ratings would probably have a score of a 7. Hope that helps.

I may have forgot to explain it in the scouting report. But just utilize my above posts going forward. In future scouting reports I will make sure to break it down bit by bit.

It was explained in the thread. Here is a direct quote from CWSapp on the matter.

What up guys. Attached is the first scouting report for our draft classes for 2K16. In previous years I put a lot of work in to making sure that these scouting reports were the most detailed, visually pleasing reports that I could. This year, I said screw that. I want to give you guys tons of information but I also want to keep this train moving with the momentum that we have already established. With that being said, the scouting report is about 130 pages as opposed to the 200+ that it used to be. It is still more than you will get anywhere else but I simply wanted to cut down some work for myself as well as increase the need to scout. Really looking forward to hearing what you guys think. Thanks for all the kind words and support that we have been getting. Draft Class 1 coming very very very soon.

Just to further back that up Sapp and I elected to not do the full a need section as it was incredibly time consuming and didn't feel it warranted the time spent based on the popularity this year.

We also elected to do that because it was time that could be better spent creating more classes long term. And also the fact that it requires more scouting by the users, which is never a bad thing.

Put it this way. It takes the same amount of time to complete phase 1 of an entire draft class as it does to just create the "help me fill a need" section of the scouting report.

After speaking with users in the thread who wanted that section back we added it back in moving forward from the dc2 scouting report.

But there is a method to finding out the "help me fill a need" lists from inside your game.

                      1. Go to the editing menu, select prospect scouting
                      2. Hit RB on your controller, you will now be looking at all the attribute grades for the prospects.
                      3. Highlight the column you want, eg 3pt shooting
                      4. Now hit Y on your controller
                      5. The class has now been sorted and ranked by 3pt shooting ability

Okay I'm just going to say it. Not to come off brash or anything but as I stated in the podcast; which I assume many people didn't take the time to listen to either; we have put together all kinds of documentation outlining what needs to be done, when, how, and why. And I mean tons of detailed, outlined information that took us just as long to create as it did for us to create this project. To not look at any of that information and just come into a thread and ask questions is truly negligible. Is it something that you're entitled to do... sure. But it is also frustrating and undermining to the work that we put in as well as cluttering to a thread. I'm all for you guys asking questions and getting clarity but to not take a few minutes to read over things and just ask the simplest questions has me thumbing my eyes out. When I first joined OS and still to this day, I read through everything before I ask questions as that could be a reason why it's hard to find answers in the first place... Post after post of redundant questions that have likely already been answered makes it hard to find where the answers were posted. More importantly our projects have everything in the first posts, in Google Docs and in Excel spreadsheets that are made available to you guys. Not trying to be hard on anyone; just saying, do a little homework. It won't hurt. I don't wanna scare you guys off from questions and we truly appreciate all the love and we are trying to stick around to be the "cutomer care" & "support team" but help us out... a lil bit.
