Re: SimWorld’s 2k16 Fictional Draft Classes by CWSapp/Dreece/Blindside (XBOX One)
People here are very quick to get offended.
Is it really that big of a deal that I asked what the plan was? Did I in any way demand something or be rude?
I don't care what reasoning for the length is, whatever the reason is totally fine by me. I understand people have lives but I don't think it's a big deal to ask a simple question.
The initial plan I thought was a 2 classes a month, if that's not the case anymore, then that's totally fine by me.
But please don't come at me like I'm being rude. I've praised the team plenty, don't act like I'm not grateful for the hard and impressive work.Comment

Re: SimWorld’s 2k16 Fictional Draft Classes by CWSapp/Dreece/Blindside (XBOX One)
Hey fellas, the sliders/roster/draft class/settings combination the SW team has thoroughly tested and released has made the MyLeague experience probably 5X as enjoyable in my experience.
Me and a friend are doing a MyLeague (end of year 5 now) and we plan on going pretty long in it. The DC's that Sapp and crew are putting out are obviously amazing and make the MyLeague experience. But we know how much time/effort it takes to make these classes and I think it's clear I'm going to outpace the rate at which SW DC's can be released. My team in year 5 is on the verge of a ship and my squad would like to win many more without the influx of a bunch of ****ty Auto-Gen draft classes ruining our MyLeague in too many ways to count - there's gotta be a solution!
I kinda knew this would likely happen, so at the start of our MyLeague, we analyzed the SW tendencies and attributes of players in the SW NBA Roster as well as the SW draft classes.
So for our first draft class we used a 2016 NBA Draft Class that we edited/created so that the players attributes and tendencies are in line with the SW Draft Class players.
For our 2nd, 3rd and 4th DC's, we used SW DC1, DC2, and DC3 respectively. For our 5th year, we created another class to be in line SW attributes/tendencies - we haven't gotten to the draft for this class yet.
Here is an aside on my team composition so far.
2016 Draft - Got Dragan Bender with # 2 pick - ****ing beast savage, 'nuff said
DC1 - Got Pernell Wells with #8 (I think) - nice little floor general, runs the point well, good D, developing well
DC2 - Got Marcus Crawford #5 - Real nice low post presence, scores, defends
* We do the rule where you can only trade for a first round pick once every 3 years, me and my friend in our MyLeague chose DC3
DC3 - Took LaKendrick Rice at #4 - dude is already a top 3 point shooter and his D soon to be elite. He'll be a stud. Took Joseph Taylor at #6, he can ball on O, a terror going to the rim. Durability on both of them is pretty bad, but we'll see how that goes
I've got a couple other scrubs like Terrance May and Hatfield (the C) but they aren't in the rotation at this point.
Anyway back to the point of this post.
I knew to keep this MyLeague running smoothly with new draft classes that would fit in with the SW template, I would have to create at least a few draft classes to use here and there when there wasn't a SW draft class available. So I did some analysis on how the SW guys make their players and made a sort of system that I'm using to emulate their classes and I'd think some of you others could benefit from it as well.
And here it is. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9...GdwRDNzTmVQS0E
For Attributes
- There a google sheet in there with ratings of players from the 3 draft classes. There is a sheet for each of the 5 positions (you can switch between positions on bottom left). In each sheet, I charted the attributes for the top 5 players at each position from each draft class (so 15 players per position). Then you can see on the right, the average rating and standard deviation for each attribute. The "Player Creation" documents in the attribute folder have that info as well.
For Tendencies
- For tendencies, you can see on the doc I charted 5 players at each position of somewhat varying play types to get an idea of what tendencies should look like for each position. There are a lot of clearly visible patterns in there which is the result of the SW team's amazing effort and testing to find out how tendencies should be made, because they are extremely important. So then there are the 5 doc's (one for each position) which I made to give a range on what the values should be for each tendency. The middle number is a sort of mean / median combo value - just a general average. The Outer numbers are the lower and upper bounds of what that value could be. If two numbers are bolded, then that's an indication the tendency value should most likely be in that range.
Now obviously in a perfect world, there would be 20-30 SW classes, but classes take a lot of time to make. A class or player made using this system obviously would not be as good as a SW class, they put more time and testing into their draft classes. But a class made with this system should work in a pinch when you are dying to get your MyLeague moving and don't have a SW class to use and don't want to use the dreaded Auto-Gen classes.
If this is helpful for anyone, then coolioLast edited by NoFussGus; 04-24-2016, 08:29 PM.Comment

Not trying to give any sob stories but the truth of the matter is life happened. Me and my wife adopted her niece and the state of New York really dropped the ball with the room and board and daycare money so we had to pick up second jobs to pay for that until they get their crap together. Dreece is working 16 hours a day on a regular now and the others have some life things that popped up as well. It really sucks because this is not how we intended things to go but ehhh.
As far as DC4 goes, Dreece said it's just about done. I will just have to put the three versions together so I'm predicting Thursday for that. Hopefully this answers any questions you guys may have had.SimWorld NBA 2K19 Fictional Draft Classes

Hey you do what you gotta do! Fully understand. I second the above poster if it's 1 DC a month I'd be grateful...if it's 1 every 3 months I'm fine with that too. I just like to plan my seasons around the releases of DCs. Keep up the work!

Re: SimWorld’s 2k16 Fictional Draft Classes by CWSapp/Dreece/Blindside (XBOX One)
Are you guys aware of the bug that changes the ratings and tendencies of players in the fictional draft classes? The bug changes the values on attributes and tendencies by around 4 - 8 points usually.
It's pretty annoying on 2k's part, but I'm kind of okay with it. It adds some randomness to how players turn out I guess.
But curious what others think of itComment

Edit: I'm not uploading all the players, just the top 60 or so

It does add some variety, but it also can make players do things they weren't created to do, for example PGs and SGs will have a post up tendencies of 5-8 when they were created with all their post up tendencies to be 0. That same thing can be said for big men and 3pt shooting.
I think this bug sucks and I will not play with it, I am currently taking pictures of top 60 players or so stats and tendencies of the DC3 gold version and uploading them to imgur if anyone encounters this bug and wants to fix the players.
Edit: Badges also are bugged, but it seems like its only the badges or alpha and beta dog from when I've seen so far.Last edited by JumpOffMang; 04-27-2016, 01:33 PM.Comment

Re: SimWorld’s 2k16 Fictional Draft Classes by CWSapp/Dreece/Blindside (XBOX One)
There's a small chance that the Alpha/Beta dog badge isn't bugged. The game seems to want to give those badges to the best two players on each team regardless of there play style. For instance if you're playing with the a team that has a highly rated defensive specialist that isn't much part of the offense he could end up getting one of those two badges based on his Ovr. I could be wrong just what I believe to be an observation. Good looks on the ratings info though!!Comment

Oh I see I guess they are bugged than...I haven't I'm still in my first season on XBOX 1. I had the game on PS4 prior and didn't notice that happening (I used created draft classes on there as well). I will definitely be on the lookout for that.Comment

Re: SimWorld’s 2k16 Fictional Draft Classes by CWSapp/Dreece/Blindside (XBOX One)
I did notice the players were bugged originally when scouting them just based off grade levels, some players didn't look to be the specialist they should be, so I was able to tell very early on.
I am wondering if you will be able to tell if the players are bugged after the class is uploaded by playing the "ProAm"? (I think thats what its called) So I am going to check the player stats in the ProAm and see if they match up.
If anyone wants to look into this more and share insight it would be very helpful in figuring out a way to avoid this bug. I have spent the last 3 days editing DC3 players (I've done about 30 out of 55 that I'm editing) and I still need to edit my DC2 players. My DC1 players seem to be alright, but I've only checked two of them and honestly I'm scared to check anymoreComment
