Another Blackshear? You'd better not toy with my emotions and have him stay another 2 years.

Re: SimWorld Presents: The NBA2K17 Fictional Draft Class Thread (for Xbox One)
Top 5 Seniors That May Not Get Drafted
by CW Sapp
5)
Name: Jacob Harrison
Position: Center
School: Maryland
Stats After 4 Games: 13.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 1.8bpg
Why He Could Get Drafted: Just like all of the guys here, there is something about them that has them right on the edge as a potential late round pick. With Harrison, it’s the fact that he has shown some big time athleticism and we all know how NBA scouts feel about players with athleticism.
Why He May Not Get Drafted: After coming out as a top 30 high school player he just never got close to reaching the potential many thought that he would. He makes bad decisions on the floor, he lacks a consistent post game and he is predictable on the defensive end. Someone may take a chance on him but it’s not likely.
4)
Name: Lavon Williams
Position: Center
School: James Madison
Stats After 3 Games: 9.4 ppg, 12.9 rpg,
Why He Could Get Drafted: Lavon has been in the top ten in rebounding the last three years. A lot of that has to do with the fact that he has been listed at 7’3 (although most agree that he is 7’2). He definitely has the size and he likes to rebound on both sides of the ball.
Why He May Not Get Drafted: For starters, he isn’t as strong as he should be for an athlete that is almost 300 pounds. Also, he is as slow as dirt and will almost definitely struggle tremendously to keep up with the speed of the NBA.
3)
Name: Brandon Gray
Position: Shooting Guard
School: Boston College
Stats After 4 Games: 8.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.5apg, 1.9spg
Why He Could Get Drafted: If there was an award for guys that work hard, he would be a finalist every year. Gray has become a fan favorite as he took the journey from freshman walk on getting minutes in garbage time to a senior that always seems to make the right play at the right time. Gray has walked away from games with broken noses, bruises, cuts and smiles the entire time. Gray has made his mark as an Eagle and will be sorely missed when the season concludes.
Why He May Not Get Drafted: He doesn’t have a real skill set. He can’t hit the jumper consistently, he isn’t very athletic, he’s an average defender at best… there just isn’t a whole lot there that would make a team want to draft him other than the fact that he works harder than most people on the court. Look, everyone loves that hustle guy, but sometimes it just isn’t enough to get you in to the league.
2)
Name: Darquez Webb
Position: Power Forward
School: Villanova
Stats After 3 Games: 7.8 ppg, 5.9 rpg
Why He Could Get Drafted: Has definitely improved his ability to score in the paint over the last year. Webb went from being solely a physical presence to a guy that would over power his man and hit that signature hook shot of his. With so many lanky big men coming in to the league it’s always nice to get a guy that can throw around some muscle.
Why He May Not Get Drafted: For starters, he can’t stay on the court due to injuries and poor conditioning. Also, people that are saying All American Derwin Amani Blackshear is holding Darquez Webb are silly. If anything, Webb is benefitting from all of the defensive attention that Blackshear demands. When Blackshear missed games last season, Webb didn’t rise to the occasion.
1)
Name: Jeremy Thornton
Position: Shooting Guard
School: Oklahoma State
Stats After 4 Games: 13.9 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 1.8apg
Why He Could Get Drafted: He can handle the rock and he can shoot off the dribble. He also has very good size standing at about 6’9. Although Jeremy Thornton may not have the production he once did, he has shown that he CAN take over games.
Why He May Not Get Drafted: The horrendous broken ankle that he suffered against Texas Tech at the end of his sophomore year has taken his career in a different direction. Thornton went from averaging 18 points per game to 11.8 points a game in one year. He looks slower, less confident and honestly, a shell of the former player that he used to be. This year he has shown some flashes but he still doesn’t seem to be that guy and his stock has fallen a lot because of that.Comment

Awesome new format. How do you feel about this and would it be possible...Once DC 1 is released consolidating all the "newsfeeds" for DC1 into a central location or link? Then samething for DC 2 and so on. You guys did this last year I believe. I love to read the newsfeeds as I go, but only for the class I'm on.

Re: SimWorld Presents: The NBA2K17 Fictional Draft Class Thread (for Xbox One)
You know Matt I have been thinking about that and I will have to talk to Ronyell because although the new format is much easier for me, I do want people to have an easier way to read the newsfeeds outside of searching through this thread. Hopefully me and the guys can figure something out that works for all of us.
Oh and thanks for the love dizazter!SimWorld NBA 2K19 Fictional Draft Classes
