There's gonna be problems, some we can fix/minimize and some we can't. All it takes is team communication, individuals who do their jobs , and testing. We stay out of each others way because we understand that the guy in the other end gonna bring it.

When we finally bring it all together AGAIN you'll be pleasantly surprised. Trust!

BTW the rosters aren't THAT far out. That is if "they" don't dramatically change gameplay.

Re: SimWorld Presents: The NBA2K17 Fictional Draft Class Thread (for Xbox One)

I just wanted to take some time to speak on a few things since there hasn’t been much action in the thread for the first month and I have been getting a few private messages and emails.

I REALLY want to stress that the reason that we have not given a release date on the first draft class is because we are currently putting 8-% of our time into finishing our fictional league. As much as some people may not like to hear this, the fictional league is more important to me that the classes because I don’t play with the real NBA roster anymore like…. Ever. So for me to focus on the draft classes would defeat the purposes because I would have no league to attach those players to. The good news is that we are about half way done with the League fictional roster.

There are also people asking about the scouting report and information being posted in the thread. This one is interesting because there are a variety of people on both sides here. There are some that are saying that they want to get the full scouting reports and detailed write ups for each class. For you guys, I really am sorry and would love to give you a ton of information but I just don’t have the time or patience for it this year. There are also people that are saying “Why don’t you guys stop with the write ups and put more time and effort into just making classes”. To those of you I ask that you read this because I am only be posting this one more time. I work on the classes first and then I pass it to Dreece. Dreece then takes his time to perfect the tendencies and other aspects of the class. Only ONE PERSON CAN WORK ON THE FILE AT A TIME. The stories are what I post to keep you guys intrigued while Dreece is finishing the classes. It NEVER takes away from time given to the classes… period.

Also, I guess the increase of people doing draft classes has led people to ask me “are you guys going to do like 40 or 50 players per class so you can get them out faster”. NO. Not today, not tomorrow not ever. I am not knocking anyone that only does 40 to 50 players because it is all about preference but don’t knock us for wanting to do the majority or all of the class. I enjoy playing summer league. I enjoy playing my 12th man in a blowout. I like getting undrafted free agents in the event of an injury. Because of that we will always do a little more because that is just our preference. It is what we do. If you don’t like or appreciate it, I am sure there are other guys that put out other DC makers OR you can take a step up to the plate and create your own,

And I peep you guys that voted the project one star.... ya'll childish lol.

Oh and by the way, if you play Madden 17, please check out the fictional roster that we assisted our boys Raiders with along with a 200+ page scouting report, elaborate house rules and extreme attention to detail. The link is below:

Re: SimWorld Presents: The NBA2K17 Fictional Draft Class Thread (for Xbox One)

We recently talked about the top seniors that may not get drafted so now let us take a look at the top 5 senior prospects in this upcoming draft.
        by CW Sapp

        5)
        Name: Cody Erwin
        Position: SF/PF
        Height/Weight: 6’11” 234 lbs.
        School: Georgia
Projected Draft Range: Late 1st Round
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Because he is versatile and can do a lot of things on a court that most guys his size can not do. He can handle and pass the rock and is a pretty good shooter. Although I don’t think his ceiling is very high, he is a young man that may come in and help an already established team become immediately a little better.

        4)
        Name: Jaylon Stryker
        Position: PF/SF
        Height/Weight: 6’9” 230 lbs
        School: Notre Dame
Projected Draft Range: Late 1st Round
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Because not very many people are willing to put their body on the line like this guy is. He is a big time hustler that also happens to be a very good shooter and high IQ guy all around.

        3)
        Name: Chip Braxton
        Position: Power Forward
        Height/Weight: 6’11” 230 lbs.
        School: Pittsburgh
Projected Draft Range: Mid to Late 1st Round
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Chip Braxton blew everyone away when he showed up on campus but he hasn’t gotten much better since. Sadly, he gets knocked for the fact that he shouldn’t show much improvement but the truth is that he has been a great player since day one and he still is that. Some just doubt that he will get any better. With that being said, you know you have a player that knows how to score in the post on a consistent basis in a variety of different ways.

        2)
        Name: Keyon Dawkins
        Position: Point Guard
        Height/Weight: 6’1” 176 lbs.
        School: Nebraska
Projected Draft Range: Lottery to Mid 1st Round
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Because if we are strictly talking about being NBA Ready, he may be one of the top three to five guys available. Unfortunately, teams don’t generally draft for now… they draft for the future and they don’t think that he will be much better in the future than he is right now. With that being said, his lack of size and athleticism may scare people but he is the best pure point guard that you will find around these parts with his amazing decision making, vision and ability to make just about any pass.

        1)
        Name: Denzel Hall
        Position: Small Forward
        Height/Weight: 6’9” 200 lbs.
        School: North Carolina
        Projected Draft Range: Lottery
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Another young man that probably would have been a top five pick if he left as a freshman or sophomore but decided to stay in college with his younger sister who began attending UNC during his sophomore year. Hall is a defensive minded guy that can do a variety of different things on the defensive side but could never quite develop a reliable offensive game. Although he is showing some flashes this year, the word is out that he will probably be a fourth option offensively on a team AT BEST. That still doesn’t take away from the fact that he could come in immediately and be a top 1 or 2 defender on a lot of teams.

Did you know... Wake Forest's Sophomore SG Jaiveer Nagra did not pick up a basketball until he was a freshman in high school? At the age of 14 Jaiveer says he was tired of being called out by his friends in his hometown of Harlem for not stepping foot on the court with them. After that day Jaiveer never missed another day without going to the park to play regardless of the weather.

              YELLZ: #CodyErwin
Okay so I'm officially on the Cody Erwin hype train. How can you not love a guy that's 6'10, 6'11, leading his team in assists from a wing position and handles the ball so well at that size? Best of all his favorite TV show is apparently Mr. Robot according to his twitter post "Currently watching Mr. Robot. Did anyone else see that coming?". The University of Georgia will certainly miss this guy on campus once this year is over.

              DREECE: #MyNewMotto
I'm not the type of guy to say I told you so buuuut... let me stop lying; I am absolutely the type of guy that says I told you so and guess what... I told you so. Illinois really has a gem in junior PF Ekpe Ococha. Averaging 19 points and 10 rebounds a game and making waves in some important games. He has a nice touch & refined post moves and is in a conference to showcase his talents. I'd tell you that with Ococha playing the way that he is; Illinois is a lock for a deep run in March but I'd hate to have to say i told you so.

              GABRI: #GabriGlobal #SeriouslyGuys
So SimWorld was so kind as to book me an EXTREMELY short flight... to Spain to check out G Santi Barreiro. This is the first guy that I've checked out thus far this year that looks like he may have NBA speed and quickness. Only 19 years old with a lot to learn but lots of upside. He has good vision and good anticipation; I only wish I had the anticipation to ask the SimWorld higher powers for a 1st class flight. Seriously guys... c'mon.

              CW SAPP: #YouCantBeSerious
Eric Gordon still keeps his eye on his alma mater and apparently he can't believe what he saw from a current freshman. Coach Knight would've loved this.

Re: SimWorld Presents: The NBA2K17 Fictional Draft Class Thread (for Xbox One)

Several people have hit me up about the about the elimination of the monthly newsfeeds. Initially, we planned on just using Ronyell's Sportscenter posts as a substitute for the newsfeed but I feel like that isn't really fair to him since he has so much on his plate with the SimWorld roster. With that being said, I have decided to return to doing the newsfeeds in addition to the posts that Ronyell will provide throughout the process of creating the classes. For those wondering, we are making great process with DC1 and working on it while we work towards finishing The League (our Fictional roster).

So back to what you guys know......

                November 12th
Top 5 Seniors that May Not Get Drafted

                5)
                Name: Jacob Harrison
                Position: Center
                School: Maryland
                Stats After 4 games: 13.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 1.8bpg
Why He Could Get Drafted: Just like all of the guys here, there is something about them that has them right on the edge as a potential late round pick. With Harrison, it’s the fact that he has shown some big time athleticism and we all know how NBA scouts feel about players with athleticism.
Why He May Not Get Drafted: After coming out as a top 30 high school player he just never got close to reaching the potential many thought that he would. He makes bad decisions on the floor, he lacks a consistent post game and he is predictable on the defensive end. Someone may take a chance on him but it’s not likely.

                4)
                Name: Lavon Williams
                Position: Center
                School: James Madison
Stats After 3 games: 9.4 ppg, 12.9 rpg,
Why He Could Get Drafted: Lavon has been in the top ten in rebounding the last three years. A lot of that has to do with the fact that he has been listed at 7’3 (although most agree that he is 7’2). He definitely has the size and he likes to rebound on both sides of the ball.
Why He May Not Get Drafted: For starters, he isn’t as strong as he should be for an athlete that is almost 300 pounds. Also, he is as slow as dirt and will almost definitely struggle tremendously to keep up with the speed of the NBA.

                3)
                Name: Brandon Gray
                Position: Shooting Guard
                School: Boston College
                Stats After 4 games: 8.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.5apg, 1.9spg
Why He Could Get Drafted: If there was an award for guys that work hard, he would be a finalist every year. Gray has become a fan favorite as he took the journey from freshman walk on getting minutes in garbage time to a senior that always seems to make the right play at the right time. Gray has walked away from games with broken noses, bruises, cuts and smiles the entire time. Gray has made his mark as an Eagle and will be sorely missed when the season concludes.
Why He May Not Get Drafted: He doesn’t have a real skill set. He can’t hit the jumper consistently, he isn’t very athletic, he’s an average defender at best… there just isn’t a whole lot there that would make a team want to draft him other than the fact that he works harder than most people on the court. Look, everyone loves that hustle guy, but sometimes it just isn’t enough to get you in to the league.

                2)
                Name: Darquez Webb
                Position: Power Forward
                School: Villanova
Stats After 3 games: 7.8 ppg, 5.9 rpg
Why He Could Get Drafted: Has definitely improved his ability to score in the paint over the last year. Webb went from being solely a physical presence to a guy that would over power his man and hit that signature hook shot of his. With so many lanky big men coming in to the league it’s always nice to get a guy that can throw around some muscle.
Why He May Not Get Drafted: For starters, he can’t stay on the court due to injuries and poor conditioning. Also, people that are saying All American Derwin Amani Blackshear is holding Darquez Webb are silly. If anything, Webb is benefitting from all of the defensive attention that Blackshear demands. When Blackshear missed games last season, Webb didn’t rise to the occasion.

                1)
                Name: Jeremy Thornton
                Position: Shooting Guard
                School: Oklahoma State
                Stats After 4 games: 13.9 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 1.8apg
Why He Could Get Drafted: He can handle the rock and he can shoot off the dribble. He also has very good size standing at about 6’9. Although Jeremy Thornton may not have the production he once did, he has shown that he CAN take over games.
Why He May Not Get Drafted: The horrendous broken ankle that he suffered against Texas Tech at the end of his sophomore year has taken his career in a different direction. Thornton went from averaging 18 points per game to 11.8 points a game in one year. He looks slower, less confident and honestly, a shell of the former player that he used to be. This year he has shown some flashes but he still doesn’t seem to be that guy and his stock has fallen a lot because of that.

                Top 5 Senior Prospects

Texas Southern Freshman Forward Chris Mitchell claims he is the best player in college basketball

The talented freshman Chris Mitchell, who shocked many by choosing Texas Southern over UT has had no reservations about letting the world know that he is the best player in college basketball. In response to Michael Strahan’s complimentary tweet about the young fella, Mitchell responded “Mike Strahan on the Mitchell train. Best player in the country right here”. As it stands, I have him as a potential lottery pick with the opportunity to raise his stock even higher.

Sources say that the Kentucky duo of Antonio and Cameron Griffey won’t be on campus for long

Although the two brothers are still getting adjusted to the college game, top 30 prospects Antonio and Cameron Griffey have undeniable talent and it is no secret that NBA scouts have their eyes on the two young men. An unnamed source has informed me that the two brothers are more than likely to be one and done guys. “Unless a serious injury occurs or some serious flaws arise in their game, they will both be declaring at the end of the year”. Most analyze have Antonio with the most upside and a potential top five pick if he declares next year. Cameron is projected to be a mid to late first round draft pick.

Ole Miss star guard in hot water over his words on Twitter

Cade Breen is known to be outspoken but he may have bitten off just a bit more than he can chew. Yesterday, the young star tweeted “BLM this, BLM that… Get off my damn timeline. It’s getting old”. Even more surprising is that when the tweet began getting national attention, Breen followed up with a tweet saying “Make sure ya’ll retweet me. I ain’t deleting it”. Breen has been on fire as of late scoring 37 points in his last contest but this has definitely brought some negative attention to him. The school has yet to comment.

                November 29th
North Carolina Freshman PF Jayson Callahan is rising on draft boards

The #3 high school prospect had high expectations coming to Chapel Hill and so far, he has exceeded expectations. Callahan has shown the ability to score but has really turned heads with his ability to rebound and defend the paint. One anonymous scout said that “outside of Ekpe Ococha, Callahan may be the best big man prospect in college”.

I'm choosing to believe Nemo Kittles is going to be a scoring dynamo, and refuse to believe any evidence to the contrary. I am envisioning a Jamal Crawford chucker type.

Ole Miss finally acknowledges Cade Breen’s antics. Suspends him for two games

Last month we talked about Cade Breen’s controversial tweets. Ole Miss remained quiet for almost a week but has finally acknowledged the situation. It has been announced that Breen has been suspended for two games. The sophomore guard (averaging 17.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.8 steals per game) has been the team’s only real bright spot so he will definitely be missed on the court. After the suspension was announced, Breen tweeted “Ya’ll don’t wanna hear how I really feel about the suspension so I’ll just take it for now”.

Who is Providence Freshman Center Breenan O’Keiffer?

If you are a NBA GM looking for a big man than you should already have the answer to that question. The young center wasn’t recruited as heavily as some of the other big men like Kansas center Dedrick D’Orazio or Duke’s Cash Indigo but O’Keiffer showed that he was much better than advertised the moment he stepped on campus. O’Keiffer size (7’2 232 lbs) as well as his athleticism and polished offensive game at only 18 years old has scouts absolutely salivating. When asked about O’Keiffer, SimWorld’s Dreece said “He is probably a top ten pick right now but if he keeps up at this rate, he can be a top three pick.

Dayton Junior Small Forward Matt Conley says he isn’t ready for the NBA quite yet.

When you are putting up over 25 points a game early in the season, people are going to talk about you going pro. That’s the situation that Matt Conley is in averaging 26.2 points (third behind Villanova’s Derwin Amani Blackshear and Albany’s Sophomore forward Javon Jackson). Conley has been one of the most consistent scorers in the country the past 2 years but when he was asked if he would be declaring for the draft, his response surprised many. “I can’t see myself declaring after this year honestly” Conley said. “I have so many areas of my game that I need to improve”. Conley has been listed as a lottery pick by some but here at SimWorld, we have him listed as a late first round pick if he were to declare this year so I respect his decision to return for his senior year.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish doing too much fighting???

It is no surprise when athletes don’t get along with each other but it is a bit surprising when it gets out to the media. Notre Dame has been in the news a lot losing four of their first nine games after being ranked number 7 in the country before the season started. It is now being reported that the team’s two best players sophomore forward Christion Griffin and senior forward Jaylon Stryker have reportedly been in two intense verbal altercations and one physical altercation before being separated by teammates. Neither player has responded to these reports.

Preseason All-American Madox Valpone is clearly struggling this season

University of California sophomore SG Maddox Valpone came into his sophomore season with a lot of confidence and hype after dropping 17.9 points per game as a freshman. Before the season, Valpone said that he expected to average “well over 20 points a game” this season. Well… things are not going the way the young man expected as he is averaging only 11.7 points per game and is shooting terrible from the field. The young man who many thought could have been a top ten pick last year is not getting the type of attention that he wants right now. It will be interesting to see how he responds to this negativity.

                    Top Five Junior Prospects

Time for the second entry in our “top prospects” series throughout the year. We always like to get the older players out the way earlier since we have more information on those guys. Let’s get into it.

                    5)
                    Name: Darimetrick McGee
                    Position: SF
                    Height/Weight: 6’7” 200 lbs.
                    School: St. John’s
Projected Draft Range: Late 1st Round – Early 2nd Round

Likelihood that he will declare this year: 75%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Because McGee has been consistent since he got his first start at St. John’s. He can play both sides of the ball and he is athletic but he will be a late pick because he doesn’t appear to have much upside to where he already is as a player.

                    4)
                    Name: Major Davenport
                    Position: C
                    Height/Weight: 6’11” 240 lbs.
                    School: Ohio State
Projected Draft Range: Late 1st Round – Early 2nd Round

Likelihood that he will declare this year: 95%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Because who doesn’t need someone that can defend in the paint. Major Davenport has always been a contributor for that Ohio State team but this is the first year that he has shown to be the feature presentation. Davenport has had three six block games in the first ten games of the season and doesn’t look to be slowing down. His recent surge of productivity has taken him from an undrafted player to a potential first round pick so I definitely see him declaring this year. Now if he could just improve that offensive game, his stock could increase even more.

                    3)
                    Name: Nemo Kittles
                    Position: SG
                    Height/Weight: 6’4” 215 lbs.
                    School: Marquette
Projected Draft Range: Mid to Late 1st Round

Likelihood that he will declare this year: 50%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Because he can light it up when he is hot. On the surface, Nemo Kittles looks like a top ten player but he has shown to force things even when it isn’t falling for him. Now of course that is something that can be worked on but it has caused him to fall on some boards. None the less, the game is about putting points on the board and there aren’t a lot that can do it better than Mr. Kittles.

                    2)
                    Name: Kenny LeMay
                    Position: PG
                    Height/Weight: 6’3” 190 lbs.
                    School: N.C. State
                    Projected Draft Range: Lottery

Likelihood that he will declare this year: 25%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Because he is the definition of a “pure” point guard. The kid definitely knows how to find the open man and make his teammates better. The reason that I have him listed at a 25% chance of leaving is because he is one of those kids that has been vocal about how much he truly loves being in college. He comes from a relatively wealthy family so he isn’t hurting for money and he loves his teammates. He could surprise us and declare at the end of the season but I doubt it.

                    1)
                    Name: Ekpe Ococha
                    Position: PF
                    Height/Weight: 6’10” 236 lbs.
                    School: Illinois
Projected Draft Range: Top Pick – Top 3

Likelihood that he will declare this year: 5%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Because it is pretty much understood that he is the best big man prospect in the game right now. He can score in the paint, hit the mid range jumper, defend, he is a good teammate…. Right now he is sitting right at the top of the prospect mountain with Derwin Amani Blackshear as the only two “A+ prospects” in the world at the moment. Unfortunately, Ococha stated that his family wants him to finish all four years and that one of his goals is to have one of the best college careers ever so I doubt that he will change his mind. Whenever he does leave, the top of the draft will be waiting for him.

                      January 4th
Georgetown Sophomore Center Trson Graves is getting better as the year progresses

Although Tyson Graves was listed as a third team preseason All American after his freshman year, his performance through most of the year was not as dominant as most expected. That is, until a few weeks ago. The 7’0 265 lbs sophomore has averaged 16.8 points, 12.7 rebounds and 3.4 blocks in the last five games for the undefeated Hoyas. If Graves continues to play like this, you will start to hear his name show up on those “top five prospects” lists.

                      January 7th
                      Top Five International Prospects

Due to the fact that we don’t get to see them as often as the college players, the international players don’t generally get as much love in these newsfeeds as some might like. Today, we are going to look at the top international prospects and whether or not we think they will be declaring for the draft.

                      5)
                      Name: Ivan Rivera
                      Position: PF
                      Height/Weight: 6’9” 265 lbs.
                      School: Puerto Rico
Projected Draft Range: Lottery to Rid First Round

Likelihood that he will declare this year: 85%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: The game needs more players like Ivan “The Bull” Rivera. He is a straight up tough guy that physically fights for rebounds. He may not be the most athletically gifted player but he’s smart, he’s strong, he’s big and he seems to be a guy that can average double digit boards in the league.

                      4)
                      Name: Slavko Lorkovic
                      Position: PF
                      Height/Weight: 6’11” 226 lbs.
                      School: Croatia
                      Projected Draft Range: Lottery

Likelihood that he will declare this year: 99%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Footage of Lorkovic has been going around since last year and it appears that his athleticism and defensive ability (two things most of the foreigners are not generally known for) is what has scouts considering him to be a great prospect. Because the young man has jumped up the boards so rapidly and he mentioned that he plans to declare for the draft this year, I feel comfortable saying that this guy will be on an NBA roster at the beginning of next year.

                      3)
                      Name: Sean Barkley
                      Position: C
                      Height/Weight: 7’0” 240 lbs.
                      School: Spain
                      Projected Draft Range: Lottery

Likelihood that he will declare this year: 50%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: The 19 year old is a very skilled post scorer. As young as he is, he plays like a veteran big man with his ability to create space for himself. Even more impressive, Barkley is a very capable defender and could potentially be an all star in the league.

                      2)
                      Name: Juozaas Dvarionas
                      Position: C
                      Height/Weight: 7’1” 234 lbs.
                      School: Lithuania
                      Projected Draft Range: Top FIve

Likelihood that he will declare this year: 50%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: I really really like Juozaas Dvarionas. He may be small and need to put on some weight but this guy has a great motor and has shown the ability to defend up to three different positions. I also love that Dvarionas’ vertical and quickness moving around the court makes him a nightmare for anyone driving in the paint. Dvarionas needs some work offensively but his current skill set and God given talent makes it hard to pass on him.

                      Name: Abioye Turay
                      Position: PG
                      Height/Weight: 6’7” 170 lbs.
                      School: Africa
                      Projected Draft Range: Top FIve

Likelihood that he will declare this year: 90%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Here is the best international prospect according to me. Looking at his size, you might be scared to draft a player that skinny and admittedly he looks like just skin and bones. Turay however, is a special kind of player when it comes to getting to the basket. Turay is not just quick as hell but also has ability to break his man down with the dribble and score in a variety of ways once he gets to the basket. Of course he could improve in some areas but I definitely feel that Turay has the potential to be a top five point guard in the league.

Top Prospect Jayson Callahan goes down with back injury

North Carolina freshman PF Jayson Callahan has shown that he is a top pro prospect and has received a ton of attention throughout the year. Unfortunately, the Callahan hype train will have to take a temporary pit stop after Callahan suffered a back injury that will reportedly keep him out until at least the NCAA tournament.

Syracuse Freshman SF De’Angelo Summers announces that he will be declaring for the draft

If you watch Sportscenter regularly than I can guarantee that you have seen De’Angelo Summers at some point. Summers is considered by many to be the best athlete in the country and as cliché as it may sound, he is a human highlight reel. Yesterday during an interview, Summers informed fans that his first year at Syracuse would be his last as he would be entering the NBA draft after the season. Currently, he is the third rated small forward and expected to be a mid first round draft pick.

Pittsburgh Senior PF Chip Braxton’s struggles may cause him to fall come draft time

One of the difficult things about staying in school for four years is you give people more time to break down your game. In the past three and a half years, Braxton has seen himself go up and down and this year is no different. The 6’11” 234 lbs finesse power forward started the season strong but has struggled tremendously in conference play. In four ACC games, the PF averaged only 8.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. This recent performance has put Braxton in a position where he could go late in the first round or even as low as early second. We hope that Braxton can turn it around…. He’s definitely done it before.

The forgotten Cornhusker is better than you may think

When you talk the 16th ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers, the name that generally comes up is Keyon Dawkins and rightfully so. He currently leads the nation in assists (with 8.8) and has been one of the best point guards in the nation for the past few years. Interestingly enough, you may end up hearing his teammate, Sophomore PF Joshua Monroe get called before Dawkins. Monroe is a bit of an undersized PF at 6’9” 221 lbs but is a serious athlete who many think has the potential to be a long term starter in the league. With Monroe’s improvement this season (9.2ppg, 5.1rpg last year, 13.9ppg, 7.1rpg, 1.8bpg this year) and his before mentioned potential, don’t be surprised to hear the young man called in the first round if he declares this year.
